regular good news ans still the sp does not go higher. I know that RCDO is not a pure green play but still considering that most of the recent news re the co, come from its green related division, the sp should be going up.
By any standard , this has been a very bad investment !!!!
ePropelled has selected Ricardo's complete vehicle system modeling and simulation tool, IGNITE, to help them develop an innovative technology in e-motor and propulsion control system design.

Ricardo will apply its expertise in battery, power electronics and motor R&D to deliver technologies for electric trucks which will drive down the cost and increase the range of future commercial vehicles.

Overall very good results i thought which should push the sp to the 450 mark and even higher.
However i dont expect it to do so as there have been many encouraging news coming out recently and the sp has hardly moved . I still think its worth accumulating at these levels but only with the expectation of a modest capital growth.
Thanks taskmaster, works perfectly
john, it may work if you just google ricardo petrolhead and click that link.
I can read it and I dont subscribe.
Sadly cant read it without setting up a subscription
I would have thought it would have been better to appoint somebody with more experience in the renewable/environment sector as this is where the future lies for RCDO.
Lets see how the market reacts but lets hope its not negative as the SP is really NOT making any upwards movement !!!
"Ricardo will develop a scalable, modular solution, enabling it to be installed, with minimal adaption, to multiple single and double decker platforms."

This is another good news story. I get the feeling that the broader market is still valuing (ignoring?) this share as an old style engineering play. One day they'll wake up and realise it is becoming a cutting edge environmental business which are all very flavour of the month and a big re-rating will be due. As is typified by the market herd, it's pricing will probably overshoot it's true value before eventually settling back. In my view, there is good trade to be made here over the medium term.
Ricardo has today (August 17) unveiled its plans to create a retrofit hydrogen fuel cell bus demonstrator for the UK’s first hydrogen transport hub in the north-east of England.

If one looks at the co's website , there are regular good positive news which however have had no positive impact in the sagging sp. I suspect the positive regular news coming in will have little or very modest impact on sales/profit figures , hence no sign of the sp going up.
Why the 20% decrease though, that really i dont understand !!!!
IMO the management did a good move to play the "right" US card https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20210720005308/en/Ricardo-Appoints-Marques-McCammon-as-Global-Managing-Director-Automotive-Industrial
Would it pay off?
Shed 20% since march on no news. Maybe thats the problem, a paucity of news?
RCDO is involved in green energy as well as more traditional engineering. You'd have thought it would be in demand
I have absolutely no idea!
No idea and i am as disappointed as you are. I am a long term holder, firm believer in the co , keep adding to lower my average and yet on no bad news the sp keeps falling.
Most worrying though is the fact that imo , the co has such a low market value that it could become a very tempting TO target at a very low price and then us long term holders will loose our shirts !!!!
I thought that I bought this stock at the bottom. It still dropped 15%
Any idea what it is going on? I am lost for words
Last year they issued an update on 28th July. I haven't seen any mention of an upcoming date, but would assume around the same time this year.
Does anyone know when the latest trading update is due?
johnpwh I went though a whole crisis with AZN during the pandemic the SP was dragged down by shortens from 82 to 68 even that the vaccine had nothing to do with the AZN P&L.
It was debilitating for al of us fortunately on the AZB board was a lot of support through constant analysis, watch of any news and we went through well now on 82. All the drop had absolutely nothing to do with AZN day to day performance nor with its profit.
I am afraid that unless the management won't come with a "good news" it won't be any significant move. It depends of how much you believe in the business model and one risk appetite. I am down 9% as well :(
Yes 1st of June it was 460 thats when I should have sold.
