For those interested, there is a board for Jackson - 0jkf (zero at the start).
After starting at $25 on demerger, it is recently trading between $75-80.
It seems to have plenty of capital to spend on buy backs.
The US regulators appear to have royally screwed Pru by not allowing it to take a special dividend before demerger (which led to a HK share offering)….only for US management to pay it out to now mostly US shareholders.
Anyway, it is good news to see the Pru SP rising after such a sharp decline. I am sure it will go back to £10 in the not too distant future driven by 9-12% sales growth, but whether it can get back to the £13-15 range is much less certain….It was probably priced for a prolonged boom in China which is still doing quite well compared to European economies but not as well as predicted pre-pandemic.

Very nice to see this break into £8 from the low £7 entry point

Very content with PRU atm after the flak that was taken at £7 when I stated I was adding - a UK bull run is starting at last.
Daily 100 MA has been in control of the price since May 2023. Will be interesting to see if it's broken on this rise. Downtrend since Jan 2023 has been clearly broken which is great to see also.
Been going great guns these past few weeks soon be in sight of the next level £8-9 in short period , imo

Phuk..
This will be over £ 13 by the year end
Sentiment has changed here massively and we will start to see a significant move upwards within the next few months.... not in stright line but it will happen.
Paitient is the key and it will pay off to those who understand the concept of hold on to your value stock and don't be fool by market play. Remember RR. ? It was played many times under £ 1, I was among very few who said at the time RR will be over £3-4 within 2 years , no one believed me, they were all wrong
All my posts are there.. go back 2 years or more

IMHO
Anyone else notice all those significant trades at 777p? including one valued at £23m. Anyone else considered the significance of that number in the Far East?
Mote bs
I hope so. Fingers crossed 🤞
Up 10% in a week feels better. Hoping not to see under 700 again now.
Mentioned as a takeover target in the mail today because of underperformance of SP due to China worries. Seem to remember this discussion as the split happened however with SP where it is now I suppose any thing would be good news to fire up share price. Big losses here i.m afraid. I did think M&G would perform better and added many times. Divi tomorrow made add if SP drops. Got to be a way to claw back losses.
This years AGM is in HK on 25/5. No doubt they will metamorpise the Greek Goddess Prudence icon into a more Chinese visage next. They already have the red head band.
Significant insider buying going on. Fill yer boots.

With confidence in China improving, potential share buy back or increase dividend announcement this is my biggest holding along with Rolls Royce.
Got in at 716. Hoping for 1000 by year end
Fully agree , sub 7 is a basket price for a quality outfit. I expect a bounce north of 8 very soon.
One way traffic for the rest of the year - thank you for the sub £7 add opportunity - £8 soon?
Good morning
Entered a holding here from my SMDS sale recently as PRU adds geographical diversification and hopefully some higher growth. I'm inclined to think that concerns over China exposure are a bit overdone as PRU reaches wider than that. FY23 and Q124 were not bad thus looking on this as a good entry point.
Have a good weekend.
Apple Results : - the 8.1% drop in China sales was not nearly as bad as consensus expected, which fear a double digit drop was coming. The CFO said that the China concerns were overblown. “We were happy with our results in China,” he said. “The reality is different from maybe what you read at times.”
No doubt Pru will be using these MS services heavily.
Investment in ASIA .....
Microsoft chairman and CEO Satya Nadella on Wednesday announced “significant commitments” to build a new regional data center in Thailand, among other initiatives
This comes as company announced a day earlier that it will be making a $1.7 billion investment into Indonesia over the next four years to build new cloud and AI infrastructure.

I complete agree
News overnight very encouraging. China stock markets well up. Sales of EV cars up 100% in April, our target market ie middle upper classes. Looks like we could bounce today.
