not sure that looking at historic figures for O&G plays is v helpful ...not as extreme as THAL, but the future doesn't look as rosy as the recent past
also, I couldn't forget JOLLY and his EV/EBIT so here it is: EV = enterprise value which is market cap + debt - cash so current market cap is £36.3M, debt is also from balance sheet (180K + 324K) which is 504K and cash is £6.3M so 36.3+0.54-6.3 = 30.54 so the EV or enterprise value for PRES is £30.54M - this is the figure you would have to pay if you wanted to buy the whole company! so EV is £30.54M. Ebit it simply the earnings before interest and tax sometimes called profit before tax which is also found on the income statement results from 9th Dec which is £5,349,000. so EV/EBIT is £30,054,000 / £5,349,000 = which is just a meagre 5.6!!! anything below 10 is good, anything below 8 is great so this is a jolly special right here!!!!
related to working capital, the working capital per £ of sales for PRES is: 54960/17960 = £3.00 so the share price is already now below this value and so cheap according to this ratio. Also, the price to sales ratio comes into play for PRES: It is calculated by firstly dividing the total revenue by number of shares and then dividing the share price by this value. So for Pres, total rev/shares is 54015/14377 = £3.75. Current share price (BID) is £2.45. Therefore 2.45/3.75 = 65p = which means that investors will pay for 65pence now for every £1 of earnings! so cheap on that front too!!!
Jumped in at 275p time will tell if it was a good decision. Gla.
I agree shan, agreat buy in at these levels just watching and hope to catch somewhere near the bottom.gla
Yep....oil woes I'm afraid...pres is very well diversified though so will be good entry price where it settles.
I think anything to do with oil has been hammered although some have recovered a bit today. The sp has gone up quite a lot in last 2 years, so any uncertainty and people will take profits, now its back down to where it was about 1 year ago.
Not sure why this stock is being hammered SO badly. We all know the oil price is crashing but clearly no one read the RNS about Aftermarket/Spares Revenue (not just OEM installations) Diversification away from oil/gas Management commitment to growth in 2015
If it's good enough for ZuluPrinciple2, it's good enough for me!
The oil price really has hit this stock hard. It is a well run company beating expectations although a bit expensive. Hopefully the diversification eg into defence helps offset the energy focus although defence is subject to govt budget cuts.
driving down the oil price by America to hurt /create dissent in Iran and Ru is also hurting UK and others, so won't last that long. Pres also has some interesting prospects in the recycling and alternative energy business. imo
Sold my entire holding for 705p. I remembered that their core business is high pressure pipes for the underwater oil industry. I.e. the bit of the oil industry that is getting hit most hard with the oil price slump. I will come back to this stock though...
7 more weeks to reach the 800p target for 2014.
this is a fantastic little company doing everything right. way under the radar and thanks to Zulu principle2 on iii from whom I learned of it. if only all my shares acted like this.
Just keeps going...and some big trades too delayed.
another good rise today, now up 4.5% this week
little top up this week on the dip, now onwards to my revised 800p target for 2014.
New highs here too....unstoppable!!
love these utr stocks, no big spikes and a drop down to where it was before. just day on day quiet uplifts
company making good progress, chart still look's positive. Will soon have to revise my 800p target for 2014.
Just keeps going!!!
RNS out, we're off again.
HH...thanks once again mate. it bounced back down off the 585 resistance so will see. thanks
Strange drop on low volume!
can still sell above bid so still looking good imho
