Indeed - but that worries me. Does the future pathetic share price of Polo lie solely with GCM? It’s just static with silly 8% up and immediate downs. Been like this for a long, long time. When is Tang going to consider his shareholders of Polo and get down to sound business like Dattels instead of gambling with our money on a GCM maybe.
Looks like POL have found a good way to get their stake up to 30% of GCM on the cheap @ 11p per share
Chambers,
Get a new broker. I bought in with iii, no problems at all.
Polo gives fantastic arbitrage to get into GCM, Hib etc through the back door.
Going by the amount of buys compared to sells this has hardly budged.
Could be a combo of sells reported as buys and possibly late delayed trades to come though, but surely looks like it it could shoot up at any time.
Pol share price is currently about 35%of NAV. Value of its GCM holding almost written off so if it now gets the green light polo shares will make huge gains. But I am biased I have nearly 1 million of these. Maybe the 15 year wait will pay off. To be honest holdings in its Canadian investment probably look more promising.
Sorry, can't understand why
Yep Halifax says, we no longer allow investment in this stock! Wtf!
pol
What’s ticker code, is it pol, as Halifax won’t allow me to buy in!
Yes, Folder. I agree. GCM now 2nd on the leader board and up 30%. Of course there's some enthusiastic pumping going on over there, but with extensive holding in GCM you might expect some movevment here. Though I might buy a few more, actually!
GCM up 16% and not a sign of movement here - was not always thus.
GCM RNS
" The MOU sets out a projected timeframe of concluding a Joint Development Agreement with the parties by 31 December 2018, and subsequently submitting a formal proposal to the Government of Bangladesh by 28 February 2019."
"Mr. Pan Dengyu, Vice President of PowerChina Eurasia and the authorized person for this Project, stated:
"PowerChina is excited to be partnering with GCM to deliver an integrated mine and power plant generation for the people of Bangladesh. We look forward to working with Datuk Michael Tang PJN and his team to deliver a world class proposal acceptable to the Government of Bangladesh."
Under the leadership of Dattels this was one of my best performing stocks. An outstanding businessman who seemed to really care about delivering a return for his shareholders. Under the control of the Datuk it’s my worst performing stock and he’s a lousy businessman who couldn’t give a hoot about his shareholders IMO
Hi PukMan , Well yes I did post more in hope than anything else and yes like yourself I have been in for years and underwater like you . I guess I was hoping that some of the investments were better supported by the management , it looks like other than Hib and potash all the others have gone to sleep . Best regards .
When you suggest supporting this share, do you actually mean purchase more? Support for the Datuk in charge? Not on your Nelly, been there and done that many times and I have been waiting years to get my money back and I have serious doubts I ever will under this management.
Well thanks you all for supporting the share , well done !
Oh come on Polo share holders . Hib doing good , Celamain doing well , Ironstone progressing , gold doing ok . Ok Gcm a pain in the bum but Hey that is Bangla . You gonna support Polo or not ?
Have POLO then received the approx. £3m repayment??

There is no mention in PAN ASIA's news item of any of release of POLO's charge over the TCM Coal project and repayment of the SGD5mill + 3 years interest at 15% p.a. by Universal Coal Resources to Polo.
This unloved share may see some rerate as some of its portfolio companies make progress. Hib pet up nearly 10% today after recent downward pressure. GCM still in the game, may come good, also Prism moving towards starting limited production. Next NAV figure should see significant improvement thanks largely to hib pet, so far an excellent investment.
Looks as though a large buy is being executed in the background, plenty of sells going through and a rising bid. Somebody willing to buy in and pick up stock from weak hands ! GLA
More good news from hib pet, buying more assets in the North Sea. Could become a big earner for polo going forward. GLA.
No mention in the RNS if POLO intends to participate in the offer?
Anyone know what's next for celamin-holdings and if anyone can purchase shares?do they still own the assets ?is it still a viable investment if they fined another partner?information is thin on the ground!
