Here is hoping that 2023 see's a steady but decent rise in share price. Not going to set targets but I would like to see a decent rise for PFD. Continued good luck to all on this board be you investors, potential investors or those just watching. Good luck and success to one and all. Per ardua ad astra!!!! Rgds Saintly
In 2023…..or something more spectacular ?
Any predictions ?
Not really, short of any investment activity by another, Premier usually has a strong 3rd Qtr so perhaps word is out all's looking good. Not picked anything up though.
At the close today……any ideas ?
Anyone have an idea of how many pizza bases we are making/ selling?
This will be at the Charnwood factory in Leicester etc

On a bid coming in if the SP continues to sink ?
No, 1.2p was the final dividend. No mention of a dividend being paid with these half-year results which is consistent with PFD not paying interim dividends, at least since its return to paying dividends. I don't expect those to resume until PFD has achieved its debt-reduction target. Re. that 1.2p here's the key sentence from the results,
"A final dividend of 1.2 pence per share for the 52 week period ended 2 April 2022 was approved by the shareholders at the Company's Annual General Meeting on 20 July 2022 and was subsequently paid on 29 July 2022."
In the alliance news 10:19
It said there is an interim dividend of 1.2p
Is this real!!!!
But as normal the SP is down a little.
Was hoping for an increase in dividend (maybe in full term results)
With only 1p dividend on a share at around £1 and without a steady increase in share value small shareholders like me (and probably you folks too) would be better selling up and putting money in cash ISA to get about 2 to 3 % income.
Boring but steady progress which is beginning to be expected and what’s needed
for long term investments. Leave all the excitement to others chasing AIM dreams !
I thought there would be a lot more positivity today.
Very good results under the circumstances
The problem is you are assuming logic in share price rise/falls dogger. That seems to be lacking sometimes!
Hopefully we will see an increase in SP………but I suspect not !!
I'm hoping some new news on progressive dividend, if that happens i see shares shooting up
Hope here news on pension deficit
Agreed.
Occasionally they have started to go up on the day and then fallen back later in the day.
I am thinking of selling half my holding today or Monday on the assumption that this happens again. However, since all my share buying and selling decisions are invariably wrong maybe everyone else should do the opposite ?
Over the last 10 years or so I don't know if PFD has ever gone up on results day, and this now looks like following the same path.
A steady rise ahead of the results…..the question is….will it fall on results day of just before ?
Any views ?
My son works in Co Op retail, sales are consistently good.
I mentioned before, people will and have stopped going out so much ( me included), but there are still plenty of people with money, in this distorted country. My view is positive here, we might actually gain premium product sales, should people want to eat nice things at home, still cheaper than going out, also we should gain in other areas (volume by people eating everyday products/own brand made by us, at home) and innovation of new products that may just fill a gap, in the recession market. More importantly to me, I believe the company is being galvanised and improved very quietly, under the radar.
We will also soon understand a bit more, the real contribution or not of, The Spice Tailor, fingers crossed. All IMHO of course.
