That's what i'm focusing on mate.
Global peers at 20x.
The big boys are loading because PFD is now trading too cheap given new momentum in biz
More sells than buys today as some are taking profits while they can, I also sold some today over 80p for a little profit while it's there.will sit and watch now to see where we go.
Correction....
It's just for the month of August ... Monday to Wednesday?
Irrespective, the old norms are NOT going to return any time soon. People are simply too conscious about themselves and their families preservation !

Price of eating out isnt the issue. £10 off will not make people feel safe, so i dont see it having a big impact until there is a vaccine. PFD will do fine, we have seen growth outside of the virus anyway.
So if the government is now going to offer £5 off a £10 meal eating out will this put a stop to pfd selling more retail packs for the home and hence the sp start going back down?
Hi Kallumama - whether you want it or not ;-) here's the view from Pret today ........ was as busy as it could be with social distancing measures in place. Visited twice, an hour apart - about 20 places at tables available and most were in use, with some standing waiting for take-outs and a long queue at the tills. I've held PFD shares for far longer than I care to think about and in that time have seen the SP plummet on good news and rise for no apparent reason at all. So I've now given up trying to predict where the thing will go next. Just in it for the long haul and don't know anything like enough about the markets to make predictions based on a whole variety of changing factors such as sales, product mix, potential for NPD, international potential, state of market, state of society in a pandemic and whether / if things will ever get back to normal (whatever that may be). But I do enjoy reading what you more knowledgeable members post, so keep it coming. Don't know if I'll ever buy / sell based on what you guys say - but there's never a dull moment.
Guys, thanks you again for this info! I’m learning a lot from you both! If we all make some good profit, beers on me?? :-) GLA
I agree 80p first thing, maybe a climb to 85 by friday and ansteady increase to £1 by results day, now it seems to be a ftse 250 cert. I think all options are on the table, divi, takeover, increase.in sales.as.people habits change. The truth is , no one know, so keep posting your opinions, some will be right. This was a zombie a few years ago, all the press said we were a debt paying company not a food producer. All good now and excited for the next release of info that pushes the shares up. And we have hovis.
29th July as per the PFD web site.
He was shouting about PFD being a zombie for a decade because he was correct. His tune has now changed and correctly so. He was recently calling for the price to double again from the 65p level.
As per request for more feedback on Pret - will be in Manchester tomorrow and will visit Pret on Cross Street (their main outlet in Manc. I believe), then feed back.
Anyone know when we are to expect q1 results? Im assuming its late july?
Just how far are we going to go with what's going on, 80p maybe £1 in 3-6 months.
I don't think we are going to see any takeover offer now as the sp is getting too high, if anyone was interested in pfd knowing what they were doing with profit / pension / debt I think they would have moved in at say 50p- 60p but now they would have to pay too much.
Premier bought Ambrosia and Birds from Unilever......not sure why Unilever would want to buy them back.
PFD have recently appointed a new director who's ex Unilever btw. She launched Ben & Jerry's in the Uk and Europe,
The contacts are certainly there
Private equity ... totally agree... it shouldn't surprise if they step in here. I think Unilever however is a real possibility.
Large volumes persist here, it's certainly notched up notably since the landmark pensions deal. At this price it seems as if Premier will make it back into the ftse 250 index (i noted a few others calling that recently). When were they last there?
As you know already, PFD has the leading market share so indeed if Unilever mopped up Premier Foods (which it could easily do on the numbers) then it's totally the dominate UK player for quick meals/snacks and flavourings. Personally, i think Premier shareholders will see a bigger return in the longer term if they rejected any bids
Just a reminder what those expectations are:
- Low case: £8m lower
- Medium case: £16m lower
- High case: £21m lower
In the next couple of years with those pension cash injections sliding significantly a buyer could have a real bargain on their hands if they come in now ... early on.
One name that comes to mind is Unilever. They are no 2 in the quick meals and snacks markets with Pot noodle and also no 2 in the flavours and seasonings with Colman and Knorr.
good company this if anyone is looking for a buy
Tesco behave like bullies, always have and always will.
If the general public were made aware of the charges made by Tesco to a supplier would be shocked.
Premier have to pay extra to have their products at eye level, they get charged for goods and the end of aisles and have to give Tesco a rebate depending on how much has been sold.
2 for 1 offers are funded by the suppliers and not by Tesco.

Tesco at it again. Didn’t PFD have a fall out with Tesco in the past over discounts?
Hi Kallumama, Just to say thanks for all the work you do here.I know there are a few others that take the trouble, all much appreciated. I first looked at this share on Hols in Spain 2018, solid at 43p i think. Anyway bought in this year at 35p. I, like you, can only cautiously, see greater things here, although I will be amazed if the next quarter, after this initial Covid bubble shows further growth! But even that is possible with the vibe for PFD at the moment. Thanks again.
