Yesterdays news - keep up guys- one of the shorters prob works for fitch so it’s toilet paper at best.
Up from here. Got in 19p for top up - 40p/60p by end of month
Where did you see the fitch news thomas?
Preferably a link. Could not find this news anywhere.
Fitch today downgraded the equity to junk status!
Might be nice if the shorts clear off but we’d be much better of if they’d cleared off last week at 33p plus and the bum rns hadn’t dropped might have made 59 or 60 p
Agree Rock. My humble opinion is that most of them probably think they have gone as far with the price fall as they could expect and have decided that " a bird in the hand" sort of thing.
Anyone's guess I suppose, but it would be nice to see 'em clear off
Almost conversely linked
Bonds are up by 1.86% today. Someone's buying..
Shorts buying is perhaps why the price has been dropped to get them to scoop up - I’m a little annoyed, but hey this is the fair market we trade and navigate through
Not good news either way then 😕
YorkshireBlues re shorts closing. If I had lent out shares I might want them back to get out myself. Just a thought.
Sorry, I thought you meant today. Probably just some profit taking. The next few days will be illuminating on the short front, although you would hope that PFC have something definitive before the end of the week, more importantly.
Will be unpleasant if not, going into the weekend and all the rumour mill stuff.
Imagine how low we’d be if shorts weren’t buying?
Not really sure why they are closing but possibly the borrowing costs?
……locked out and Rock will testify
GLA
I suspect they are fearful that they may get licked out at a higher price than their average position, can only think that a low ball takeover offer 40 p- 50p might be above their averages? Or, possibly they are just mitigating the chance, probably what some of us, myself included, should’ve done more of.
Also it’s sad when there would be more traction in contacting a newspaper instead of the regulatory bodies. I’d try City AM, Sky’s Mark Kleinman is a contributing journalist, and he is on Twitter. I say City AM as the erstwhile major shareholder in THG is the owner of City AM and Matt Moulding loves a deflective conspiracy story to highlight the failings of the City. Rick will testify to that.
GLA
Yes, by almost 1% since Friday.
Are they? Not seeing evidence of that on shorttracker. Have another look tomorrow after they have updated the list, although for smaller shorts, no idea. Some might have reduced to take profits, but I would be surprised if there is a material reduction of positions right now.
Maybe someone with far more knowledge than me can answer this question but why on earth are shorters choosing to reduce their holdings now?
No
Any thoughts as shorts are now reducing daily?
Everyone was waiting for this to happen, so is this time to buy?
