I think today this board has generally been as honest as we are going to get on good reasoned opinion. To all that have contributed I am sure those of us that have been watching on the sidelines will have found your views helpful. Thanks.
One comment though. Is Tuesday's announcement definitely the final 2023 results PLUS the balance sheet strengthening and way forward? Perhaps someone can clarify. If not I hate to think the mkt reaction.
Oops, the systems at it again. Immortal read immoral !
IG An interesting view. I am not as knowledgeable clearly as you and Paul Curtis but I cannot see Pfc shafting the bond holders in the way you suggest. One thing you have forgotten, if in business you shaft the hand that feeds you one day it will be cut off. If the bondholders are given nothing how can pfc go to the bond mkt in future to raise finance as surely they will need to. I am rather old fashioned re ethics and believe if possible some integrity ought where possible be maintained. Although at times circumstances prevent loyalty in business, when conducting your business dealings being too clever for a short term benefit as you suggest is in my view immortal. I am a Lth but hope you are wrong
Sadly am inclined to agree with you. Whether it's D4E or an outside new investor it all produces a share dilution.
IMO the shorters are merely taking profits so if there is a pleasant surprise for us they have hedged their bets a little.
Seems to me an ideal time to trim even if you make a loss. You never know what's around the corner with this share
Surely if there was an issue they would have sold more. My personnel view is just a fund manager adjusting a holding. The fear is irrational imo. We shall see.
YorkshireBlues re shorts closing. If I had lent out shares I might want them back to get out myself. Just a thought.
I have been a holder of this share for sometime until a week ago. Finally gave up.
One thing I am ignorant about and would like to understand before I reinvest. There seems a lot of unrest re charges by advisors based on NAV.? It is normal for say an investment bond/ut to have a fund charge and of course reflected in the buy/sell price. Here of course we have a different structure. I have been trying without success to find out the level of fund charge. This to have upset so many I can only think is abnormally high. Please can anyone help. Thanks
Paul Curtis at last a sensible reason for Friday's RNS. Thanks. I thought the Co as I posted yesterday did it as a feeling of responsibility to quell a mkt getting a bit carried away. I know nothing much about the legal aspect only that at some point a Co must act. Personally think the numerous conspiracy theories are a nonsense especially those openly suggesting illegal or close to it, activity. On this board acknowledging your contribution is not fashionable but thanks again. All considered views whether or not we agree or like should be aired. It helps one obtain a more balanced view
Rock8 I tend to agree with you. I have ploughed through the 280 plus posts of the past 24hrs and am amazed how few suggest the shorters might buy back now. First we have volume. Enough worry to keep the price within range even with big buys. The perfect storm. If I were a shorter would be concerned a cheap buy out is on the cards. They have been holding for a RI and or D4E, with a share price maybe sub 20p.
Another point. I've tended to be cautious in my few posts about pump and dump and still hold that view but with all things now and again there is another way of looking at things. It has been touched upon a couple of times. I am not saying what I am now going to say I believe, but maybe, just maybe there is a thread of truth about it. I always think accusations on this board are foolhardy. To make on pure speculation is asking for trouble. The 8 -10p rise over a week or so was on no news, at least as far as we can judge. So what caused it? The rampers were talking the share price up to 42p and some were even talking about 52p. Mystic Meg would have been proud of them. How a chart which is a historic view of a trend can predict a price has always seemed daft to me. Something called an 'event' is more likely to point the way. Sorry, got side tracked. From Friday's RNS it seems the price rise was not justified. Did the BOD decide enough was enough and were forced to put a stop to it. Simply to protect YOU from future losses. The euphoria was getting out of control and not justified. Yes those of you making allsorts of accusations, conspiracy theories etc. You might be correct. But think about it. If they issued nothing and 52p was reached as some predicted then a bomb shell was issued you would be the first to shout from the roof tops how disgraceful the BOD were to prevent a bloodbath. Maybe we should be thanking them, not vilifying them. Engage brain and don't be so quick to accuse. There are nearly always very different scenarios we sometimes never consider. Is this one?
Sadly agree. I don't believe a leak. Like you want to see an RNS or confirmation of something. Everytime I read for any share rise 'but this is different', get worried. I've been suckered into this too often. Fingers crossed this is for real.
A healthy amount. Let's hope the price holds up in the next 50 minutes. It would be great to be accused of being over cautious earlier
I am going to stick my neck out. I am not convinced this week's activity is anymore than trading. No leaks, rns's tomorrow etc. Hope you can pile in tomorrow and tell me I am100% wrong! I am the idiot. However believe we are being taken for a ride. Think about it. New ISA allowance this week. The fear of missing out. In come the buys. The bots get going and up things go. The rampers predict the world. Then the traders start to sell and profit whereas the PI's are left holding the stock. We've seen this action regularly this year. Don't get carried away. Good luck and whatever you do hope it is the right move for you.
Ironknut yes thanks. Was in this for awhile but sold last year. Been meaning to get back bit by bit.
Ironknut your post caught my eye on Friday so read up the Agm rns. My friend and I both bought a small amount.
Thanks
Thank you to the poster earlier this year who mentioned Kodal Minerals on this site. Had never heard of them before. A huge winner?

Don't like to disappoint Janbo. GAP FILLED, BUY SIGNAL, CHARTS LOOK GREAT, MOVING AVERAGES POINT THE WAY( not sure which way though) and all that. Like a racehorse tipster, if you tip every option you will make someone happy. I am afraid am a sceptic of all of this. To all pi's, have a great weekend. Our time is coming.
Can we keep this civil please. I am long not a shorter. But if someone wants to buy and later sell that's fine. I think that's trading. There is nothing wrong with that. Because some don't like it abuse is not appropriate. We give our opinions but if we disagree with others we are free to give ours but that is as far as it should go in my opinion. Show respect. Time will tell who is right. Good luck to all for a successful outcome
Can't help feeling you are correct. Manipulation that is.
As far as I know this is how it works. Transactions are recorded and automatically assessed as a buy or sell. ie if the indicative buy price is 8.70p and the transaction is the same or close then shows as a buy. If the sell price is 8.60p and the transaction is concluded at say 8.65p the system is unable to make a sensible 'guess' hence labelled unknown.
Often happens when the bid/off spread is small. Also many transactions are shown incorrectly. For example my broker makes there own market as often as they can and often offers a fixed price that is better than the indicative price. The transaction is recorded using which buy /sell price it is closest to. Today for example a buy I made showed as a sell. Therefore the transaction prices we see at best are a guide.
Same subject as recent posts but in the end we are dealing with trolls. DAZ423 I gather has helped many and I include myself. I am not a sophisticated investor like many of you and start with a few views from wherever I can. It can be a problem deciding if a poster is genuine but after awhile I think you get a feeling if the poster is for real and out to honestly inform. Not just being positive or negative for the sake of it. So thanks to all who try and help. It adds to building up a view in conjunction with other research. Good luck to all.
