Once again hardly any stock market activity on OXA in November. Hopefully it means the big investors are content to leave their money where it is. At least all my three investments, IGAS, HUR and OXA are all in there same boat........to be renamed the Titanic. Well it's only money. Good luck all and may I be the first to wish all OXA employees and shareholders a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
NO !! Don't know how long (or if ) your invested here , accloete , but there is never news here , it's the dullest stock on the planet !! Nothing to see , move along :-)
Hardly any stock market activity on OXA in the last month. I know the spread is huge but hopefully it means the big investors are content to leave their money where it is.
Trade at 2.35 on Google, I'm less in debt than I was before I started my bowl of Shreddies.
Hope you followed my HUR tip of 1st September. I didn't but it's up 11% this morning. There's a warm glow in knowing you're right.....and a feeling of total stupidity that you didn't put any money in. Still it looks like there is still some OXA enthusiasts out there, might even get my money back. GLA.
Yes thanks for this, it's certainly put a brake on my total negativity regarding this stock. The OXA guys must have impressed IP Group and Oxford Uni who I'm sure wouldn't part with their money without a thorough analysis. Many thanks.
Thanks Cadbury , that's a well informed and upbeat post , which we don't get many of over here at the moment !! All though I will say I've been " punting " ,as you say , for an eternity now ,so you'll have to excuse my slight negativity !! thanks all the same , recommended . GL
It's not a strong buy or an 'investment' yet, but it's good for a punt. I'm v.encouraged that IP Group's venture capital arm has invested again in the last restructuring, as has Griffiths and Golightly (who have strong track records in AIM investing). OXA will be renamed and, with a bit of luck, something interesting will be reversed into it. OASL is now a separate entity and can self-fund but OXA investors still remain geared to any upside via their 77.5% holding. As it stands today, OXA's investment in OASL is worth £2.25mn (and that's pretty much bombed-out as valuations go), plus OXA has £1.85mn of cash. That equals £4.1mn vs a current market cap of circa £3.2mn. Sure, we'd all like to buy it trading below cash but I'm not sure we're going to get there. I'm backing Griffiths and the other senior investors to turn this one around....Take a look at EVO if you want to see how a failed AIM 'shell' can be repositioned and its share price reinvigorated.
RNS , they didn't waste much time , did they ?! They actually made it sound as if they know what there doing , you don't think they do ,do you ? :-0
just got back from euro Disney with the family , and mickey bl000y mouse could do a better job of running this company ! I agree with all you say , especially that it's hard to tell what the hell they are playing at . I'm in a negative 80% position on my investment here so to be honest i'm gonna put these away for my daughter , an " all in " situation for me now , if I was only 40% (still a bad loss markthespark , but I've been here since before mosses had a beard and been stupid enough to loose double that !! ) down I may have considered reducing my exposure because I have no faith at all that these chumps can deliver . Some work some don't , I've earned my money from the shale boys already markthespark , I was in very big on IGAS at 0.60 and sold on the spike at 1.49 , some work some don't , from my side , if we're doing the tips thing ; short term DOR (waiting spud at horsehill ) medium term MMX ( excellent portfolio building in the new top level domain name market ) and long term REM ( possibly the largest lithium deposit on earth , close to Teslas new proposed gigafactory to make lithium batteries ) aimho !! Any road must get back to it , good luck in your decisions terry ( and mark ) , hope to see you here for sometime yet or if not , it's been emotional ( as I think they say !!! ) ;-)
My typing skills are about on a par with OXA's marketing.
Lost 40% of my 1500 quid investment in four weeks. Will stick around for a month or so, just for a laugh, ho, bloody ho. Vwonder what thIf you want to recoup your money then can I recommend IGAS which is very low at the moment, jump on the shale gas train before it get's up to speed this autumn. HUR also looks good although I've no shares in it.
i have just re-read the statement and i am still confused as to why ? and what the benefits are of the proposed restructuring . they are basically going to sell off 25% of oasl , which we as shareholders already own , and offer us new shares in a company we already own . and they are blaming aim regulations and costs for having to do this . if i read between the lines they are cutting off funding requirements and dont see there being an immediate rosy future , nor medium term either . i may bail on this one , as not only are they way behind schedule on where they thought they would be , but the take up of their technology has nt happened whatsoever in over two years . the question that needs to be asked is how much can this technology be sold on for to somebody who can market it ? personally mate i would reduce your exposure here and keep what you can afford as a punt . the market certainly has nt liked the announcement , and neither do i .
I'm confused by the whole rns to be honest ? You , i'm sure know a lot more than me in this area ( I only bought here on a gut feeling that the science was impressive and could multibag on one good deal ) can't decide even if it's time to give up and move on or stick with it , god knows for how long , hoping something happens . There have been some big buys thrown in there today , along with the sells so I don't think every thing is doom and gloom , but I cannot get my head round the thing at the moment . Had a bit of a surreal day to be honest , got a lot tied up in PLE (don't know if your involved ) they were suspended today , and then released an rns that i'd been waiting 6mths for ,so AIM stikes when you least expect it ! Rns 's eh like bl000y busses ! By the way im also waiting on DOR and the horse hill oil field spud REM to prove they have the biggest lithium discovery in the world ZOX to reassure everyone that they can successfully make zinc from steel mill dust and MMX to take over the new top level domain name market , so life and aim in particular seems to be one big round of waiting !! Sorry for the rant , mate , been a funny day as I say !!
not had much time to read through the detail , but it appears to be a reaction to remedy what i have said before , that scientist make bad business men in general . hard to see what sort of a premium the business could be sold off at , as take up of the product has been a disaster . i reckon they will give it a year as an independent company and look to sell if they fail to win orders . customers appear to be buying off the shelf for a particular task , without looking to adopt the technology .
yea , not sure how that's gonna work out for us pi's ? Need to have a proper read later but a quick glance and it doesn't smell so good .
sounds like the major investors are looking to get a return on this slow burning investment . looking more likely to be absorbed into a larger entity , though at what price could be anyones guess .
Glad to here ya still here mate , feels like just me and you sometimes . See ya in sept' then . atb .
still in , nothing to say until we get news really . this share falls quickly and rises quickly , remember not alot of shares out there , less than 90 million , so when the day comes , book yourselves a well earned treat lol . not expecting an announcement until end of sept at the earliest , then the deals could come in thick and fast . though just one would be nice . atb
It's true , there does seem to be a little, a very little more interest here at the mo' a few decent size trades every day for a while now and a little trickle of tick ups , who knows maybe something is coming ! But I've been hoping that for a very long time now !! Come on OXA you can do it !! GLA PS . You still in terry ?
What's happening here. Already traded 50K on a daily average of 60K. Hope springs eternal etc......
sorry i did nt mate as it is a foriegn stock , hope you made a few quid. still watching the paint dry on my chosen stocks , but clon looks good for positive movement shortly . atb
