This also happened in mid April, and after a wobble SP remained significantly higher than previously. No clue as to why it happened then, or why now. A very sleepy company.
No idea what's going on , but I like it , lets hope it holds ?!
No RNS announcement but up 25%. Any ideas anyone - maybe trade (don't use the word insider) whispers.
After a dead few days, suddenly 500k shares traded in the first hour and spread shrunk to a tiddly 10% !!!
Sp 14 April 2015: 1.25p Sp 15 June 2015: 2.87p (Ask 3p) Doing brill in my portfolio!
SORRY FOR MY LATE CATCH UP , BUT LOL .....
Can you say what you mean by "real characters" ......as opposed to Harry Potter do you mean? Clearly sandpaper is a direct substitute for Onto technology, why didn't I and the other investors including the IP Group and Oxford University think of that. Seriously though it's nice to have one deramper here, unfortunately I think only four people and a dog read this board so I don't think your efforts will have much effect. Good luck though.
Interesting that there are any followers: Tiny revenues - overwhelmingly grant income, Substitutes for product are free (i.e. sandpaper, surface heating). No commercial traction but some real characters on the scene.
Seems like good progress from the RNS but no response from the market. With a decent cash reserve I'm hoping OXA will be able to develop their products this year and bring them to a wider market. However I guess they must also be a takeover target for larger concerns with more marketting muscle.
RNS as well. We should start seeing contract news etc idc.
RNS HIGHLIGHTS With supportive shareholders and a robust balance sheet the Company is in a strong position as it evaluates new investment opportunities. Further announcements will be made as the Company's investment strategy progresses. Update on Oxford Advanced Surfaces Limited During the year under review OASL secured two commercial supply partners for its products. The first was in industrial coatings where the combination of our ability to prime hard-to-bond plastics along with our ease of use in the field was the only viable option available, and the second was in motorsport; a Formula One® constructor. As a result of this second engagement OASL has expanded its efforts in motorsport and its products are currently under test by several other Formula One® constructors as well as those involved in the broader motorsport industry. OASL has identified its key markets as automotive, aerospace, marine, defence, energy and industrial. Its most developed market is automotive, where its initial motorsport base has helped develop relationships with niche vehicle manufacturers and suppliers to bulk automotive manufacturers. Motorsport also provides an excellent launch-pad for the aerospace, defence and marine industries and business development efforts in these key markets is already underway. At the date of this report OASL has two further customers in scale pilot trials; one in the construction industry and one in composite materials development that would target the defence and marine markets. It has a further 20 live evaluations (mostly automotive and industrial applications) and is following up on over 55 leads. OASL also ran further scale-up trials during the year and significantly simplified its manufacturing process. As a result of this OASL has identified a suitable small scale toll manufacturer and the process is now ready for transfer to volume manufacture as customer demand increases.
14 May 2015 OAS has joined the British Marine Federation (BMF) in order to grow business opportunities and awareness in the marine industry, as well as obtain insight on industry developments and challenges. marineindustry http://bit.ly/1ID1yGJ
Yesterday someone bought 250K shares at full ask of 2.75p. So someone keeps on buying larger amounts paying above full ask. Spread has also gone down this week from 42% to just 10%! I topped up yesterday after seeing recent large buys.
ago this was 1.25. Even if you had bought with a big spread, you would now be in good profit. Same will happen from current sp imo. I am in at 1.80 and looking for good growth here. See my earlier posting if anyone is interested but DYOR.
Yes someone with £12k to venture at that price with a spread of nearly 50% must be confident or a fool (or both I guess).
That's a nice big buy , I thought the fun was all over but looks like there maybe life in this OLD DOG yet !!!!
just watched the youtube stuff , thanks for posting the link KUMS , good to see a little marketing of sorts , going on at last , all stuff I already knew , but I bet nearly everyone else in the world ( apart from well researched investers ?!) didn't . OAS ‏@oas_group 1h1 hour ago Silverstone, England Will see what #motorsporttechnology innovations @MIAmotorsport has to offer @NicheVehicle this week at the Showcase. http://bit.ly/1E3Ysqg
slowly starting to come in. Best chance to be in is now. More to gain now then loose. Few weeks ago, this was 1.25 so this will get harder to get in inside 3p imo.
17 April 2015 OAS has developed Onto™ EP1021, a brush-applied adhesion promoter as a further addition to the EP1000 series of products. The treatments in this series promote the adhesion of polyurethane and epoxy-based coatings, inks paints and adhesives to difficult-to-bond substrates. They improve bonding to engineering plastics and reinforced plastic composite substrates such as PA (polyamide), PEEK and UHMWPE. Evaluation Packs of the treatment are now available for trial. Jon-Paul Griffiths, Technology Manager, commented "The treatment is a three-component system and is designed to be simple to mix and apply. It is water/alcohol based and does not contain any solvents that carry a risk of toxicity". Sarah Vickers, Marketing and Product Manager, said "This is another great addition to our EP1000 series of adhesion promoters. It is applied by brush so it is ideal if you only want to treat part of a substrate or component, and it can be used for both curved and flat parts". As with all Onto™ treatments, EP1021 contains no aromatic hydrocarbon solvents which are commonly found in other adhesion promoters for plastics. Aromatic hydrocarbons like toluene, ethyl benzene and xylene are a source of concern for manufacturers in terms of health, safety and environment, and many people are now looking for alternatives.
Seen how sp can suddenly rise as we saw here from 1.25p. With news we have seen CAP-XX rise, so not ruling out such rise here. Best time to be in now as lots happening this year.
SP 14/4/15: 1.25 SP 05/5/15: 2.50 After passing 3p in short period from 1.25p SP found new bottom 2.50. Seeing someone adding regularly. With busy year, I can see sp rising nicely from here and Richard G buying adds confidence!
