a bit of light reading. good website for a bit of news and analysis
-sectors - oil&gas or juniors etc.
Pretty much agree MI. There was no compulsion to do anything with the Cooper projects any time soon. They could have left them on the back burner and either disposed later or gone ahead when/if they had the cash.
There is of course a Plan C, the East Irish Sea for which they have set up a separate company, Oilex EIS Ltd.
Yes Conger, that's what I made it after issue of all the new shares.
What % of Doriemus do we own? 15% I thought?
Obone. Yes I think you're right about raising the cash. However it would have meant massive dilution. Would we have wanted that? Might have been better to wait . I would imagine it was Brad's
reputation that enabled Doriemus to raise. Actually thought they might struggle as they are more than trebling the number of shares which would normally cause a big drop in sp.
Personally, wouldn't be totally amazed if when the dust settles, Oilex don't sell their Cambay share to concentrate on the East Irish Sea. Not saying it's likely, just wouldn't rule it out. Gla.
Gordon, Thanks for your thoughts on Cambay and Cooper.
Oilex could have raised the cash for the Cooper exploration project in same way as Doriemus...our management have all but flown across to Doriemus...to line their pockets.
What state does that leave OEX ... with no news to PI on Cambay...but BOD know !
I am not keen to take further shares in the Cooper funding now when they get short.
Obone. It would have been impossible for Oilex to do anything with Cooper for several years down the line as there are a million or two in start up fees before drilling even starts. I had assumed this was one for the back burner if and when money ever came in from Cambay. Of course, as Yuri suggested it might have been better if Oilex had sold Cambay to concentrate on Cooper. Guess we will know going forward (just for you Chesh. Lol.).
Gla.
Jester. Of course it wasn't us, for two reasons.
1. We couldn't afford it.
2. If it had of been, we would know by now as there would be no need for due diligence or regulatory approval. Atb.
We'll hear about cambay this time next year.. this bod need to pressure Gspc.. give us the details of who the choice was who won the race. Was it us or what
The CE deal is not important to me but it does seem to be for the BOD / brokers; pocket lining ? huh
I want to hear the Cambay deal but is this an evasive tactic ?
