Might be a very small loss to you. So please don’t try and read my mind.
It may be ‘small’ to you OWLS but it’s not for him! He’s concerned about his investment!
Whether you have nothing or a few million, if you feel the loss then so be it, don’t be so fast to patronise and dismiss other people’s comments. Try a little humbleness
Agree, he does moan a lot especially with such a small investment. He'd probably be better putting itin a bank if he gets so stressed with a couple of grand loss.
agreed it is your choice, but can't you do it with mates down the pub, or even the dog... obviously you realise that every negative comment you make on the board as a shareholder will impact negatively with any new investor sitting on the fence watching and waiting, so doesn't help you or any of us. but like you say your choice, i just find it a little odd you comment as much as you do on every minor dip like the whole market is against you, or you were promised a steady monthly rise on your investment when you signed up. we all like to sound off now and again, and of course nobody likes to be sat on a loss, so it must be hard for you and i feel for you, honestly. is this your only investment or have you had a lot more luck elsewhere and therefore your portfolio as a whole is at least at break even point, or better still in positive territory?
No chance Neil. For better or worse as they say. Must be some better days surely!
Yes do8erman I do moan and bleat a lot that’s my choice. Your very blunt but fair enough that’s your opinion. But that’s all I have known only dips In Ocado never any 5 to 10% rises are there in a day ? But will listen to your advice about checking so much.
jimmy, i don't want to sound harsh. but you made a decision to invest and it didn't go right for you on this occasion - YET. . what were your expectations exactly, to double your money in 3 months? a year? .. if so perhaps that would have been greedy and unrealistic, learn from it. for someone that is invested, even though you are sitting on a somewhat small loss at present, you don't half moan and bleat every time there is a dip - no matter if the reasons are valid or out of ocado's control. my advice - stop looking 20 times a day and come back once a week to check on your investment, you'll sleep easier.
Better not to sell now Jimmyroyal ! There’s a stronger chance this going north now.
Thanks Novicehunter. I don’t have any funds to buy on this dip unfortunately. So stuck in with 171 shares at £ 28 a share. So a long way back.
Jimmy if you really are 2.4k down then well done for clearly buying in on the latest dip. It really isn't anything to worry about I'm sure investors here will be down to the tune of 10 to 20 K . If not sure here get out I'd say but I am sure given a couple of months this will be positive again. You only have to look at what is coming up in the retail year... yes Xmas !! any sniff of a good trading update and this will rise back up to the mid £20's
Jimmy your day will come again!
The macroeconomic outlook is turning against tech shares currently with 10 year treasury yields rising. This trend has been with us before many times and bargain hunters have then stepped in to buy up tech stocks before long.
Best of luck all
Thanks Neil hope your right. I’m so far down now have to stick it out ! Not helping my stress levels in retirement though. Kicking 1’s self when I was £ 100 up and not coming out. 2.4 K down now.
Little point commenting on futures, or the 400 m slush fund, they’ve all got their heads in their hands and are so frustrated with themselves for what they should have or could have done.
All anyone can do now is hope. Good luck all, I hope too this turns the corner.
Here we go more excuses for another massive drop. Will this thing ever go up !
Depressing hope the directors have no inkling of taking more bonuses anytime soon.
This is looking like and anticipated drop in sales due to the current fuel crisis. I do wonder how many deliveries are being cancelled
Like the market as a whole it is a volatile share however 8 out of 12 brokers recommend buying, Morgan Stanley forecasts SP 2800 & says to go overweight, which I am because it represents great value. Just over a month ago only 6 out of 12 brokers said buy
Anyone knows why again we dip?
