I was wondering why this had fallen today.
Shouldn’t be affected by Brexit delay, they’ve got the Weather change they wanted, they’ve got lower rents and they’ve got cash.....must be Halloween fears?

Ted Baker chooses Next for next 5 years instead of Debenhams.
next wouldnt touch ted baker -more a mike ashley thing imo
Nice little earner. Glad I bought in a few weeks ago.
Next are in a win win situation with Brexit, if Britain crashes out the duty on Clothes from non EU suppliers will be reduced making an estimated saving of £25m a year. If we leave with a deal people will go on a buying frenzy and if we stay in .. oh if only we staid in ... any scenario and nxt win.
Ted Baker’s massive turnover and loss is surely a target for a company that knows how to handle such brands both in store and online. Next handles many top brands but the profit from them is not as high as it could be if it owned them. If you are looking for a reason for the hike I’m just saying that TED shares slumped very sharply so there’s a buying opportunity for a cash rich company. Acquisition probably isn’t part of the plan but hey when opportunity knocks. Next are taking on more retail floor space due to their renegotiated rental agreements -28% .... they must have something or someone in mind. All my own opinion and nothing but a hunch...I don’t own any Ted Baker shares.
Which makes this sort of volatility quite worrying, as it's a classic sign of the market peaking.
I'm already massively in cash, but might look to bail on most of my holdings on Monday.
I can't see any new broker ratings or anything that might have caused this.
Very strange.
Due to talk of a brexit deal perhaps? Don't worry it'll fall tomorrow when talk of a deal collapses.
Someone circling ?? Next never jumps like this in my experience and I've held here for circa 15 years.
Nearly 6% up?

This fund reducing exposure and the other three totalling 2.9% short in all must be feeling the heat at £63+ share price, unwanted upside event to them, presumably their planned scenario was for it to decline as weaker retailers have done. Well done Lord Wolfson & team!
Own transparency: long-term holder, medium holding private investor (via SIPP).
I was in NEXT the other week. I really like their product and the business is solid, so I bought some shares today.
Next is to open, yes open twice as much store space this year having secured a 28% rent reduction https://www.ft.com/content/a76c82ec-daf2-11e9-8f9b-77216ebe1f17
A bit disappointed to see this down despite very solid results... in fact, they over-delivered against latest metrics so unsure what market is thinking or was expecting.... holding a sizable chunk... let's see if this reverses over the next few days and gets back on to test/break 2018 highs. GLA
KnigelK, I totally agree.
Given the economic backdrop these are decent results.
Shares magazine raves about Next and I'm happy that I bought in a couple of days ago, even though I'm currently down a tad.
Well I remember buying some at 11p and I recall the low being 6-7p... no one could have expected the great outperformance of Next over the last thirty years and trading this share has served many people well :-) Surprised at the drop today - considering the poor performance elsewhere - these are great results !!
my first buy was at £4 in dotcom era , same here i wish i held on to it. one of the better retailers out there .
Interims due on the 19th !
breakout my arse
Breakout resumes today after a pullback to 58 after the recent results.
PS: Wish I bought for 10p and held. That would be every investor's dream. GL
