Well I apologise Orac, but there are far too many inhabitants of these boards who make unfounded claims and attacks on people who are unable to defend themselves. History is littered with people who have done so before and, if unchallenged, with awful consequences. So sorry if you've wasted a couple of minutes of your life, but Montecristo needs to be called out.
Can you boys go find a ring and sort your differences out? As entertaining as it is (not), it's getting a bit boring now
;-)
It's called a bulletin board, d***head!
I made a joke about you being Stalin.
You did not call me out on anything.
You clearly have some deep insecurities.
You can no more substantiate anything on this billboard as the next man.
Can you prove you subsidies me?
Can you prove you employ lots of people and pay loads of tax?
No of course you can't because you are a pretentious tw-t who talks big a billboard. Knowing full well you can made it up as you go along.
And don't forget you started this by jumping on one of my comments.
As the bigger man I'm ending this stupidly now.
You think you were having a laugh with me. But that's deflection because you've been called out on stating a load of ******x about welfare. You've claimed I pulled figures out of thin air, but can't refute them. Your ego took a hit when you realise that people like me subsidise you. You suggest I go and live somewhere else. You think calling me a leftie is somehow (a) accurate, and (b) an insult. It it neither. I think it is pretty clear what sort of person you are.
I was actually having a bit of a laugh with you.
You really are a thicko!
Crikey, if you think someone like me is left wing that puts you so far to the right you're in some pretty distasteful company. You're everything that is wrong with this country.
Are you still here?
You seem to have a lot of spare time, for such a Titan of industry .
Left wing? You make Stalin look like a young Tory hopeful!
Stop reading the Guardian. Jumped up middle class wokes, who are ashamed to be White and British.
I can't stand the Mail more of a Times man.
My views came from what I have seen in my life
Do you honestly think I am left wing?
And as someone who creates a good deal of employment in this country, brings in revenue from other countries to the benefit of this country, I think I do a fair bit for the UK.
Stop reading the Daily Mail. They are just triggering you to blame another bunch of people all the time.
Remember, it was you who said I should go and live somewhere else.
Respectful? You know nothing.
Remember the words of JFK
Think not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country.
You and your philosophy would choke on that.
So you think I'm "loony left"?!
Again, you "suggest" to people that if they do not like the flavour of the current government they should leave the country. Beware, because that could be turned on you in a couple of years. Perhaps reflect on that and then be a bit more respectful.
I'm reminding you that Britain is a democratic capitalist society, its that way because the electorate votes for that . I simply suggest to all the looney left who are clearly not happy here that perhaps China or Russian might be more to your liking. If not there is always North Korea, Venezuela or Cuba, lots to choose from if you think Britain is so bad. I was just try to help.
Again, how have I plucked figures out of thin air? If I know about my finances, I don't need to know about your finances to make a probability prediction. It's mathematics!
As for the rest of it, you make claims without any facts (e.g. what Labour will do to the "rich"), or claims that are just false (e.g. welfare being the country's biggest expense by far), and wrongful assumptions about other people's politics whilst telling people who you don't think agree with you to go and live in another country......and then say "we care just as much"!
Of course you have plucked things out of thin air. You don't know the first thing about me or my financal situation, yet have made huge presumptions while trying to tell how wealthy you supposedly are. Clearly not that smart!
One of the things the left mindset gets wrong about the Conservative mind set is the myth that we don't care about the poor or less fortunate.
We care just as much, the difference is we can understand the difference between someone who is poor through no fault of their own and the ones who play the game. Unlike the left and liberals who bunch them in as one big group. My issue is not with the poor but with the work shy and benefits cheats. understand the difference and don't underestimate
How many there are. People like that and the left/ Liberal who support them do far more harm to the poor than the rich do .
Anyway enough of this and let people get back to talking about NG.
Q why do socialists invest on the stock market?
A. Because they are all hypocrites
Ps
Some advice to all the millions of Brits worried about the so called cost of living crisis and asking if they need to choose between feeding the kids and putting the heating on.
Stop drinking, smoking, gambling and using recreational drugs and 95% of you will do just fine.
Which figures have I plucked out of the air?
£2.5tn debt? Look it up.
£40bn deficit? Look it up.
£20-30bn black hole? It's now reported as being nearer £50bn.
99.5% chance I subsidise you. Simple maths.
And yes, I do subsidise you because, even if you're a net contributor, the scale of my contributions mean yours don't need to be so much. You may not like to hear that, but it's fact.
Am I a socialist? No, not really. But what I dislike is people like you attacking a segment of society that has it much tougher than you. Of course there are people gaming the system, but most people on benefits have it quite tough and probably don't have the means to get out of it.
The fact you pull figures out of thin air with nothing to back them up, tells me a lot.
Not only are you a champagne socialist , you are a pretentious one too.
Highly inlikely you subsides me.
I earn over the level of being a net crediter to the economy and have never taken a penny in benefits. So no matter how rich you think you are, you are not subsidising me.
Well aren't you nice!
Perhaps it is you that would be better suited to the autocracy of Russia or China?
I am going out on a limb here, but I don't think you have a clue what life is like on benefits. You see it purely as you're subsidising other people. Well there is a 99.5% chance that I subsidise you.
Go and get bored on that.
Anyway this is getting boring now. We live in a democratic capitalist society.
Feel fee to take your left wing ideology and go live in China or Russia, I'm sure they we love to have you.
A clue way Britain is not socialist.
Because the democratic voters dont bl_ody want it!
Fact check
You need to pay 35 years national insurance to qualify for the full state pension (previously 30)
You need to pay nothing to be a lazy worker shy parasite and get every benefit going.
Public sector pension liabilities are c.£2T.
Cameron had a bit of a blitz on that and then we heard no more. Same with the International Health Service. Can't speak of such things.
So pensions are the single biggest cost to this country then?
People don't contribute to their "own" pension (state, not personal). The state pension is basically a defined benefit scheme based on contributions being made for X years, not how much those contributions are. The liability for paying them is placed on the next set of taxpayers.
By the way; people contribute to their own pensions, work shy contribute nada.
I suppose that's why the rest if the world is in trouble, because Labour was not in power.
Clue about the incoming finacial stress, covid 19 stimulus ( which was very nessasary)
I confirmed your comments that Labour will need to tax the rich? And yet you haven't considered why we're in that position! (Clue, Labour haven't been in power).
And, by the way, the country's largest expense by far is pensions, not welfare benefits.
You could also make sure people on welfare( which is the countries biggest expense by far) can justify being on welfare.
It's funny how from the late 1970's through to the Blair years we historically had between 2.5 and 3 mil unemployed.
We now have full employment. Even a huge shortage of willing workers in some sectors. This even after 0.5 mil Eastern Europeans here ( who do work)
Either we had an economic miracle in recent years or far to many Brits get used to life on Benefits.
If you ask me it's the work shy that harm this country far more that the rich.
If you want the NHS properly funded, get people using the welfare state as a pay check off and back to work.
You confirmed my comments.
