Acquisitions is the only way this company is going to develop into a mid cap company . USA would be a good place to look for a decent company , and this is whee LR expertise comes in with acquisitions . £130M is a cash windfall to purchase 3-4 companies
Good luck to them. Got to be a better life over there than in this absolute dump. UK is finished so a good idea to seek pastures new! May get some appreciation over there than be treated terribly like over here with our terrible, terrible excuse of a 'government'. Government a very kind way of saying 'legalised crime syndicate'.
I am hoping Novacyt are more ambitious than going for GDR . I have friends who bought GDR shares and lost their money significantly.
I agree on the whole about going overboard on the acquisition front but boy will there be opportunities out there.
Remember we were talking GDR a few weeks, impressive progressive made but signalling their need to refinance in the very near term - share price continues to struggle, fighting to hold 5p now/£7m mcap. If you can buy a potential like that for sub £10m then let's say ~£70m post dispute is going to be quite the war chest for LR.
I am amazed how much money these BOD can earn . As a medical guy , we have huge numbers of young GPs now unemployed and cannot find work because the government have replaced GPs with Advanced Nurse Practitioners / Paramedics / Physician Assistants / Pharmacists. As a result of unempolyment , huge numbers of GPs are moving to Australia / New Zealand.
Neilrich , my thinking is this , the precourt hearing is relating to the DHSC £135M claim which will be dismissed. Then we have Novacyt's counterclaim of £81.5M + interest. I feel this could go to court because Novacyt have strong grounds for full amounts and I don't think they will want to accept anything less.
'Her name is Julie'
Should there be an out of court settlement, how likely that the DHSC shall settle in full? Any negotiated settlement would likely involve a compromise, I'd have thought. Also, pointless rushing into further acquisition, I'd rather hear something positive from the current stable, for instance growth in revenue for Q1 and an earnings estimate.
I am anticipating DHSC will withdraw their dispute and agree to pay Novacyt the £81.5M + interest [~£10M ] .
With this cash , which would amount to a total of £130M+ , I would be eager to see how quickly they announce further acquisitions and what revenue that would bring. I am sure over the last 6 months they would have been searching for companies that they could buy and grow Novacyt. We have a CEO now that is very experienced in acquisitions. I cannot imagine LR has not got something lined up to acquire.
I could tell there was a common denominator.I'm Scottish.
Think Kaeren is Irish and a fellow Celt!
It's not fair oh yeah
Just cos he's better looking than me
Just cos he's cool and trendy..
Gordon
At least you got it Kaeren but then maybe you have to be over 50 and Scottish to get it!?
No offence to Gordon who I'm sure is a lovely chap!
After the disastrous turn of events at Bushveld Minerals I wanted to warn AIM investors that there is a concert party that ramped that share incessantly and caused a lot of individuals to lose significant amounts of money. You may have your own “to be ignored” list but watch out for these charlatans:
Sammy58
Fatbanker
IsleworthSpy
RichKen
Knuttie
Loudspeaker
Metatron
Clarkgriswold
faramog
Cindercone
It's the title of a song Amers , just banter 😆
Opinion - Dav - #tookyourtimetrollingthrough the posts?
100 who helped steer the Yourgene takeover from the Yourgene side?
"Whilst know doubt getting clobbered on his Yourgene holdings."..
Rees never lost a penny at Ygen. He bought just the right amount of cheap shares in the placing to get his break even to exactly the same price as Ncyt paid for Ygen.. Coincidence eh. Not! Watch out for the porkies too!
