Some worrying sentiment on here over the past few days as people seem to be getting disheartened. The trades on the trading page just now are enlightening. Lost of small sells for a few hours and then, low and behold a 20,000 share purchase as an large order filled?
Although I am a relative newcomer to this market and even without the insights from Level 2, I can see games being played. 'Tree shaking' (I believe it is called) to trip stop losses, huge spreads from time to time to disguise sells from buys etc.
The more small investors who panic/get bored/the grass is greener, the more games will be played. The volumes being traded here cannot greatly affect the share price, that is being manipulated.
Market sentiment will move this when it becomes more widely recognised and gains more publicity in mainstream media. At the moment the only people who understand this company are professionals, some of the people on this board (and similar) and a few relatively unknown share advice sites. Go and ask 1000 random people in the street what they think about Novacyt as an investment opportunity and my guess is that 99.9% of them will say 'Who?'
I have put £20K into this which I know will be a huge amount to some, and b*gg*r all to others. The point is that I could afford to lose it and wouldn't half be pee'd off, but I'm happy to let it sit and wait. After all, you haven't lost a bean until you sell!
So where am I going with this?
1. That often wheeled out quote from Buffet about investing being the transfer of funds from the impatient to the patient.......chill guys! (and can't be bothered to look up the exact quote)
2. By all means have a punt but don't gamble more than you can afford, and spread the risk
3. Look at the fundamentals of the investment, is it a real company with sales and no debt?
4. AIM is a dirty, devious market with loads of sharks
5. 60% of comment and opinion and share boards (including mine!) is total, unfounded spherical objects

Good post Brent. Point 1 can not be over emphasised enough. I have been in a number of shares over the years and impatience got the better of me. They went on to double or triple in some cases. I am not making that mistake again. I have done my homework and am confident the company will deliver. Nova will be mid-cap next year no doubt. Growth is growth, spotting it early is rare.
Its also important to look at the percentage of shares capital traded today you can see it here
https://www.boursorama.com/cours/1rPALNOV/
today only 0.63% has been traded. An average day is 3% and a good day where we see good rises its 6% and above. All the time the volume is low we won't see big rises. This also says to me that a lot of people are sitting on their shares so it makes it more difficult for the to find shares. The easy thing for them is then to tree shake and trigger the nervous nellys into selling and hitting peoples stop losses. Like you say if you look at the fundamentals here we have a revaluation coming. The RNS do not give the market enough detail. I believe there is something going on here. Also the not naming the USA connection.
Time will tell but for now I am holding

The Half Yearly trading update, published on 13.07.2020, has no information about sales in USA.
If it had this information, would it explain a little or a lot do you think?
For me I think it would explain a lot.
Yes we had a 20000 buy but it looks like we had a 25000 sell also. I'm not convinced mm's are playing games I think SP is where it is because constant sells are way out doing buys and have been doing for days.
I don't think it's the mm's either. We're simply range bound and will bob about here until news. If the news doesn't come in the next week or so or it's underwhelming it'll drop, if it's what we hope for we'll move up.
Until then don't expect fireworks.
US is massive imo. Why withhold that info if it was not that significant? So much is being kept back atm and due to that doubts creep in to investors minds as the price falls back.
Definitely something big going on behind the scenes. I'm expecting something fundamental to be announced.
Long hold for me.
No doubt about the importance of the US market. One headline announcement today was about rising cases in Tokyo and pointed out that 4000 tests are likely to be carried out there today... then you've got the US that are carrying out around 700000 tests EVERY day!
RBM I emailed Mandy to query what was included in the most recent RNS, was the OEM included etc, received this (which is new):
