Does MVR link in with Oculus?
Hi Debbiedoodoo,
In your eyes not a fantastic day, in my opinion it was, we now have the admission document with a clear insight into the strategy of the company, the SP is what it is due to the release of several million of shares at the price stated in the RNS, the dilution is approximately the same as the fall in the SP yesterday. The Napster deal hasn’t been concluded so in fact the only real difference in fact is a series of concerts which were very successful, but due to MelodyVR not being a household name hasn’t gained the traction expected. If being a lunatic is someone who believes in their investments and based upon research believes the strategy of the team running the company, perhaps i am. Regarding the discussions around the interest rate of the loans, please note the reference to ‘bridging loan’ this is a short term, high interest nothing unusual. We also have another successful business investor prepared to risk his money, no one not even a lunatic throws money into a poor investment. Regarding John Gore, perhaps you haven’t notice the theatre industry is going through a bad time, it was clearly stated that MelodyVR and John Gore have carried out a single show, however there hasn’t been any further news, we had presumed there was further work being carried out, however the facts will be contained in the admission document of which I haven’t read completely. Regarding the predictions, if you read my posts I referred to the brokers prediction made November 2019 at 18p, I also quoted Milly1984, their prediction being 50p, and the fact Halifax was stated as £3.50, if you did research you would realise 50p would have been incredible unless a back door deal had been made and we was being bought out. For the future, it is very credible that MelodyVR/Napster will be bought out for a substantial amount resulting in this share being a credible risk. However for that to happen, we need to be a ‘recognised platform’ in my view the strategy is correct, the main criticism for me is the PR, the LG event was fantastic, but PR has to be continuous and not ‘stop start’, regarding the ‘SP’, yes Arden’s could in my view have promoted the share within the market, however I believe the share will slowly rise and we will be surprised with the lineup of artists in the future. Thank you reading! I’ll leave this board to make there minds up regarding being a lunatic or someone who looks through the mist! GLA
The last public meeting was the 2019 AGM, around June I recall. Covid has forced all companies to conduct meetings via Zoom, or similar. The last AGM was via Zoom but was voice only, and if you asked well in advance, the company provided a link. There was no opportunity for Q&A, nor any update made at that time. The reason for that became obvious post 25 August. If enough people lobby the company, and perhaps Arden, or other advisors, you might get AM to provide a forum to update shareholders. However, we can all read. There is a 114 page document out which explains everything pretty clearly. If you want to know more, write to AM or the advisors and ask questions. If there is no response, ask again. If it's that important, keep asking. Moaning on this forum won't give you the answers you desire. Its pretty clear there is significant backing for this industry disrupting innovator, and it will require significant more capital, patience, and time. Great businesses don't mushroom overnight, without a great deal of effort, hard work, with all the ups and downs. If you are after a quick buck, move on, or go to the casino.
henry97, the AGM will be a rubber stamp exercise, it will not be an investor Q&A
The principals have done events where Q&A was possible, in the past, but not for quite some time now
I think one is due
i am absolutely knocked side ways with the share start up price , and all us happy clappers deserve a proper conversation . however i think the fact that we was allowed to buy Napster is the most important intent . imo
Does anyone know how we can attend the AGM held virtually at 10.00 a.m. on 24 December 2020??
There must be a link or something?
melodyvr anthony matchett on bloomberg
So we’re basically going to become Napster, and would any of us have honestly bought into Napster before it paired up with melody, based on their most recent earnings?
4.3 will be met
Between the extremes of next best thing and absolute flop - there’s plenty of scope
Big Theatre is dead (covid)
When it’s up can 15% be sold content via MVR ?
Spotify comparison meaningless but MVR+Napster video+ concert at home.
Can that get us 15% more users ?
That’s direct consumer
Indirectly Virgin + O2 Telco - can 15% of broadband consumers be sold MVR+Napster ?
Can we sell MVR recordings and future live concerts to just 15% of existing Napster user base ?
Can we reduce spending by 25-30% by combining businesses
Opportunity cost of not having Napster ?
Will we have favourable exit for private investors in future ?
I've now found the expected major shareholder details post admission.gore retains same holding but percentage goes down from5.8 to 4.9.absolutely no mention of him at all in narrative(unless I've missed it)
one possibility is the reference in the admission document(10.2) that during the last quarter napster concluded an amendment to an agreement with a marquee PaaSprovider which will lead to ltheaunch of new music service in Q4.perhaps this is something they have kept back in order to give details in time for s/p push back to 4.3p. they really won't want to have to issue additional shares as it won't look good.just musing and probably completely wide of th mark.
I was surprised today when I got a not saying it was re-admitted and immediately sold out. Not sure what they are trying to achieve any more. I will be back in maybe in the future once it has clearer direction and proven results I think, if this still remains a good prospect (a lot of things have changed portfolio wise since my first buying in last year).
You have to wonder what on earth was the point for John Gore
What are people's thoughts on the timetable for a Nasdaq listing?
On a serious note:
The share price will need to be above 4.30 by completion otherwise additional compensation. Expect an RNS injection. And a ten percentage opportunity.
Where the hell is John Gore initiatives
Not a very inspiring doc. A lot of medium term wait to next year. Saying that app development stage will provide SP opportunity pre launch.
Melody name is dead. Therefore a Hiatus of activity will be expected.
Read the admission doc letter for letter. My take :
Pie in the sky
Toppling Spotify is a fine aspiration, but I think momentum needs to be built from where they are now
Yes, there is a great team onboard, and maybe it has been built to ultimately take Spotify on, or be sold to them
However, Napster have been targeting business to business use, and if I remember this was also an aspiration that was part of the original MVR prospectus - maybe being the "power behind" is the true alignment and is really what they are chasing
Maybe they will be one of these mega companies that nobody knows about
yes Maxdba I agree there are lower hanging fruit to try to steal from but the constant talk here is not of mopping up the dregs but being one of if not the biggest and that means toppling spotify.
Pud
a lot of shield bashing today including myself but most of us got the share start wrong . which i cant ignore .
what was reasoning/thinking that it would start at that price if you dont mind , i did a lot of research and as you
know we shared and concluded , dont get me wrong here i am long term but we was way off on the start up , thanks.
@Pudding
We were right together
my love
Rumfuddle - Spotify is not the only game in town
A quick Wiki and you will see 34 music streaming services listed
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_on-demand_music_streaming_services
Many do not disclose their user numbers
Many have more more paying subscribers than Napster
There is lots of space for MVR/Napster to move into
Well that probably 6 months away then before a new interface appears.
I doubt that apple will lose anyone, apple users tend to be rabid in their devotion to the brand.
I cannot see many Amazon users moving, music is just an addition to the real benefits of subscription and they have their Alexa integrated echoes, dots etc.
So that just leaves Spotify to try and entice users away from.
Well, what a fantastic day, 78m traded shares, the SP hasn’t dived to oblivion as predicted by our resident pessimist’s, the ‘Napster’ deal will be completed by the end of 2020, with debt written off and and further investment what is not too like!! Looking forward to the next announcement regarding our A list artists for Xmas, Live Nations series of artists are still to be rolled out and thanks to Nikki and LG the MelodyVR name is gaining ground! I’m still to read the complete Arden’s admission documents! And now the dust has settled there Is no reason for a steady rise for a double figure for Xmas! IMO
I prefer not to look at MVR and Napsters offering now, but rather what it’ll look like together, as a new platform. That has the potential to be the market leader
