That’s made me smile. It’s been a while. I will be sure to make sure eastender is there.
Hi CT, Jg.
Seems a long time ago and maybe a miracle needed but we did have those non-transferable Datacasting Patents and the area that we identified is happening now!
Hi Jjjerseygirl,
Its nice to hear from you, it's certainly a long time ago since we went to the Pub after the AGM. It would be good to have a meet-up with the other Shareholders again. Perhaps when the Good News arrives. Lets hope Eastender can make it - its his round.
Best CT
Morning Trevor. Thanks for sharing your finds.
Lots of ATSC 3 & Datacasting Deployments now worldwide. Do these deployments contain Motive's Patents covered by Software License fees ?

Lol CT!
Who knows with potential NDA’s in place and our Tech was/is non-transferable.
Hi Shaa, yes and perhaps this all ties in with the RNS's about license fees for Motive's mobile tech.
It seems to me that all of the technical pieces of each of the Products 'Jig-saw' are now aligned. When Motive developed the Patents and Tech, ATSC 3 networks had not been rolled-out. Mobile Chipset's would not have been 'ready to go' and the applications and various standards were still in progress. It looks like these work items have reached maturity now.
So the question we must all ask now is 'Dell - boy, has this time next year finally arrived ?'
Hi CT, all interesting as we were always stating viewing on mobile devices will be big.
If I remember we developed the world’s first PVR for mobile devices.

Another interesting article:

Dead as the proverbial Dodo!
I owned some shares in this years ago but had to sell before they inevitably took off. Many years later and I spent ages trying to remember the name of this company because I was curious. Not suprised to see they finally went down but didn't expect to see an active chat forum lol.
So what happened in the end, are they still operating or is Motive dead as a dodo?

Thanks Shaa. Much Appreciated.
Just a note to add, MTV Services is now Dissolved.
Reading up on subject, Dissolved is quite different to Liquidation. You can only Dissolve if you have tidied up your affairs including PAYING OFF CREDITORS.
Why NOT settle with creditors and go straight into liquidation whereas you won’t need to pay them?
Under liquidation your creditors still have a claim in the future, this way we have paid all off and got rid of them.
Tying up loose ends before our next BIG move............
Leo - a very well thought out and constructive post!
Afaik it was wound up some years ago. Bankrupt, caput, closed, deregistered, gone, no more. Shares useless in a dead company!

Just thought, probably nothing to worry about if you are still a believer.
Motive Television Services is a private limited company, nothing to do with shareholders anyway.
As we were before.
Still hope.
Well, I will be frequently watching my mail box for an update from the broker. Just maybe!
Thanks Shaa- appreciate all your effort and thoughts on the matter.
Tony the main man behind the Tech resigned from Eyetime a couple of weeks ago, now MTV Services are about to be dissolved, coincidence or planned?
Tying up loose ends for a launch or getting ready to fold?
Honestly SL, I don’t know.
I've never been in this situation before, what happens to the IP/Patents now?
Shaa- Thanks for post. Is that the end?
Update.

Unless they just added our software to their existing model. I know Len always said that MTV are about site licenses.
www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwjA98bml5nvAhWxSBUIHbs3CUYQFjAAegQIARAD&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.investegate.co.uk%2Fmotive-television--mtv-%2Frns%2Fmotive-launches-content-express-solutions-platform%2F201401210700100974Y%2F&usg=AOvVaw2gRbyLYdQ11vzD-IjVHfPu
Agreed,
And that is the question that bugs me...why develop something that is being developed already.
Unless you had someone who was not going to use the other developed service but wanted their own.
ATSC 3.0 is basically Content Express Solutions Platform.
ATSC 3.0. Thanks for the post Parkez, a few more of us see the same things.

Good stuff Parkez, wasting your time with Kipper, he is a serial deramper when it comes to MTV, management always maintained that how or what their software actually did was secret so how he knows is beyond me!
Dr Glenn used to do blogs on the MTV website, which unfortunately aren’t their but I do remember he was a very good commentator.
https://www.lse.co.uk/rns/MTV/motive-sells-documentary-to-the-bbc-oecdoxqzz69s94c.html
"Motive TV ireland the film maker, does not appear to have been anything to do with this mtv. No link".....
i,m glad you said "appear"....because as you see there obviously is.
"Motive's patented technology is uniquely suited to address this problem by enabling content reception via both the Internet and the digital broadcast network, regardless of the Internet bandwidth availability."
KIPPER.....explanation please?
Its been hell of a long time since MTV went into admin...normally the passing of time would provide the conclusive answers....yet there are still more questions than answers.
Why no closure from administrators.
Why was Eyetime Systems incorporated who purchased MTV ip for £500k+ and still nothing heard from them.
Will we have answers in another 5 years...or another 5 months?
IS mtv tech tech obsolete....or ahead of its time and waiting?
Kipper is quite correct when he says everything is streaming these days..
However my experience of this is not good...
i go on my phone to watch a film...theres buffering
I go on my pc to watch football theres buffering
At work if i watch football without wifi i,m constantly aware of my data usage.
Streaming is here BECAUSE there is nothing better available currently.
ATSC 3.0 will be a huge success of that i have no doubt.
Whicheveer phone manufacturer installs the atsc 3.0 chip first will see a massive increase in sales....ATSC 3.0...."the bridge"!
Anyone find/kept the article written by Dr Glen Ritchie Craib of MTV. Cant find it would be interesting to read again.
From 09/12/2015 rns..
"The Internet is not yet sufficiently pervasive and reliable in South Africa to be able to provide continuous connectivity to the tablets. Motive's patented technology is uniquely suited to address this problem by enabling content reception via both the Internet and the digital broadcast network, regardless of the Internet bandwidth availability."
Kipper can you explain this please?
What i will say is from the patents i have looked at and the non transferable licensing agreements they involve a t pod....and the software inside?
Will this be obsolete if the Sinclair chip is fitted to phones?

Hi Skyliner - think he was Chief Technical Officer in Motive Plc- moved to Eyetime according to official records.
The organisational arrangements are all a bit vague- maybe that was how they liked it?
Our only hope is the patents/intellectual property - but who owns these now?

Hi SL, shame you have no white rabbit or good news for us. I expect the rabbit also hopped down the adminstration burrow, doubt he would fall!

Hi Skyliner - thanks for reply. No unfortunately, I wish I had that rabbit to pull out of a hat.
Lost faith in the BOD here a long time ago. We're Eyetime now are we? Different company? Not sure what we can expect if anything! All the best.
Hi SL, Highly honoured that you ask, but you sound like you are about to pull a rabbit out of a hat.
I'm not looking for them to salvage something, I'm looking for an irruption!!! When all the things that Shaa keeps telling us about start paying fees . Did I not also read somewhere about advertising, who controls that?
So long ago now, read the RNS list, look at the people involved, it felt right at the time and I'm sticking with my gut feelings.

Hi Kippermanbike - yes the were part of an MTV Group Structure. Motive Television Ireland was focused on tv programme production and indeed seems to have made some good productions.
The Plc version of Motive was included under the Group Structure - I think the MTV Ireland bit still exists.
Maybe somebody more knowledgeable may wish to comment.
Was there ever a link between Motive TV Ireland, who make films and MTV who tried to make a mobile app? Or was it simply they shared the same name? But in fact are 2 totally independant companies? With no links whatsoever?
