Yeah, something is up!! Interesting times ahead.
started going on right about when headline hit on gatwick planning on opening second runway
Suddenly shot up. What's going on? Takeover rumours?
Some crazy trading going on after hours... A 3m and 6m buy
It is due to that. People betting on Melrose being ripe for a takeover...
Tbh any cheap British companies are ripe for the picking. There are a couple I'm invested in and am gonna sit and wait till they get picked up. Open Orphan being one.
Gla
I was wondering if the tick up is because of the meggitt takeover but not sure if connected
posted on wrong stock i think happens occasionally
nice uptick today and divi due in 6 weeks tempted to add on any dips before then
good luck
What is this RNs regarding... Anyone know what it means??.
Thank you
WHERE is Phillewis ????
Many people are dishonest, but some are smart. This individual set up a new account and in 2 days fired 6 bad messages without any evidence...
Are you a holder? You can answer with an yes/ no and the reasons
It seems that you set up a new account here and since you just propagate "bad news" without any links or demonstrable facts.
Are you one of those paid posters by shorters to depress the bards? I have seen quite few here ? If you are so aware that it is so bad why are you here? Are you a holder ?
So what % of the market cap are the sales?
People sell for all sorts of reasons. “The fund that controls GKN” very funny!
top selling owners are never a good sign in the short or long term
Phil, what you are trying to do won’t even work on an AIM penny stock let alone a ftse 100 conpany. Im leaving my holding. This management team know what they are doing, market factors not been on their side but that wont last. And if it does last the world is screwed anyway!
according to the S&P Global market Intelligence database, 4 million Melrose shares for a collection of approximately 7 million pounds; the second Miller went on to collect, selling 8.7 million titles between March and April for a box office of about 15 million pounds.
The executives of the fund that controls Gkn sold shares for 22 million pounds in April before the layoffs
15p for 10% represents value now. This will need a long time to recover but i have faith in the team. Its only down to covid like everything else. If i sold now would be just like me to miss the eventual rise. Wonder what is going to happen next few weeks, hope the infections start coming down but cant see it yet.
all gkn buildings in europe are closing quickly .. the struggles will last months .. who is smart sells now .. as I wrote 130 in august .. but maybe even lower
the market is speaking clearly, even today, every stock has a reaction
O Dear Dear phillewis, you just set up an account, you just wrote a post and you trash already the co.... Are you one of the shorter ? For good sake get a proper job and earn a decent living.
This is what they have always done - acquire, improve, sell.
Melrose is currently a significantly larger company than in the past,
so chunks being sold off is not something to be cautious of imv.
* a lot less drama for Melrose without COVID- is what a previous post
should have read.
Hard to see where this is going without a further deal. They are selling off parts of the business but return of capital is a bit of a side show to the need to generate profits from what's left that that isn't clear just now. I agree that the management team has a terrific track record but that was pre pandemic and like a lot of firms have been cutting costs for preservation rather than as a prelude to disposal for profit. I may well be talking gibberish!
Without a global pandemic Melrose would have been significantly less drama free,
can't help with Metro, I have no bank holdings atm.
hello, there are big operational problems for gkn after the closures in europe, there will be a fight that will go on for months the title is already inevitable at most a rapid fall?no business plan on the horizon, are they ready to sell the shares and bring down the stock?
Hi Fat,
It seems that we have both an attraction to drama stocks, GSK just stabilised (I almost had a heart attack after the results) now ere :) :) ....
I wish you would be in Metro Bank as that board can not make sense of any analysis, just paranoia and conspiracy theories....
I've known this management team, all be it some recent changes, since
the days of Wassall PLC, they have made many investors very, very rich.
