With bad corporate communication, but I've added more today as the price is settling (not to say it won't spike, or go lower), and I realised the co still has this: ''In December 2007, a resource statement based on existing Office National des Mines (“ONM”) data, verified and compiled into the Company’s block model, was received by Maghreb from Wardell Armstrong International. It reports an audited Inferred Mineral Resource estimate for Gite de l’Est at a 1% lead and zinc (“Pb+Zn”) cut off grade of 8.836 million tonnes (Mt) grading combined 3.16% zinc and lead: 2.17% zinc, 0.99% lead, 5.06% CaF2 and 21.66% BaSO4. At a 2% Pb + Zn cut off grade, the Inferred Mineral Resource is 5.172 Mt grading 4.40% combined zinc and lead: 3.15% zinc. 1.25% lead, 6.42% CaF2 and 27.76% BaSO4, prepared in accordance with JORC (2004) reporting standards. The in situ value of this mineral resource at the 1% Pb+Zn cut off grade is estimated to exceed US$925 million at December 2007 prices: Zn US$1.06/lb, Pb US$1.19/lb, BaSO4 US$85/t, CaF2 US$200/t.''
Hi everyone. I am an old codger who is new on here, in fact new to to all this share trading. I have a few shares in MMS and I have just been looking at the share movements. Seems to be a lot of buying without the price moving, is this normal please.,
of £150....? At any rate, I think this has further to rise than to fall. Placing of £1m at 1.25 recently underpins it.
And therein lies the secret of this share. I've had two good profits here, but be warned it can be as hard to sell as it is to buy at times. In fact I'd describe this as the most fickle small cap miner I've ever been involved in, in terms of price movements. There is drilling going on, but no eta for news. It's very much a risk/reward call.
Give it a rest - we're trying to get some sleep! lol!
Cos I was pondering a buy at 1.52 this AM as I think results on drilling must be getting closer...but, in the nick of time: 22/10/10 Buy 29578 1.65 497.98 +6.06% 22/10/10 Buy 30565 1.60 498.99 +9.38% These buys were one after another and next price was 1.75. Would like to have more but maybe it'll slide a tiny bit. My last sell was 1.82 so back at a discount anyway...
Maybe more sellers than buyers!!!
After weeks of stagnation, this is finally moving!! Can't find the reason why though??
I know drilling is coming at some point but I wasn't impressed by the last RNS...seems like Firebird gave them money to buy shares in a co Firebird already controls...bit of a cheek to then hail it as a great deal.
a good rns giving us lots of potential in the coming months.looking at the previous rns there should be results of the current drill coming out.
The Board is pleased to announce that Maghreb Minerals has today acquired a significant interest in leading fluorspar company Sallies Limited ('Sallies"). Sallies is currently listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange and owns and operates the Witkop fluorspar mine in South Africa. The Firebird Global Master Funds, Maghreb Minerals largest shareholder, control approximately 74% of the Sallies ordinary shares. The transaction represents a significant step towards the Company's stated strategy of acquiring fluorspar assets internationally. The Company has purchased 82,335,700 ordinary Sallies' shares from Honeywell International Inc for a purchase consideration of $1,200,000 in cash. This transaction will give Maghreb an 11.4% shareholding in Sallies and the purchase price is approximately equal to the current trading price of Sallies shares on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Commenting, Richard Linnell, Chairman, said: "This transaction, with the full support of its major shareholder, Firebird, represents a significant step forward for Maghreb in implementing its stated strategy of acquiring assets in the fluorspar sector internationally to enable it to develop the necessary critical mass in the sector."

In Tunisia - hoping this will continue to follow TYM's upward trend.
A tough one, but I think Firebird invested for a reason/ The RNS re drilling says it would only go further if a success, and the RNS re placement said it was partly to 'fund further drilling'. Not concerned about share sales from placement as Firebird are a 60% investor so won't sell I expect.
Are you going to be using your previous experience and sell some on the rise?
If the much awaited JV comes to fruition it will be champers all round. any deal that even part releases the value in the ground will see this multi-bag. Passin has spent an awful amount of time on this now, I expect the end may be in sight.
anybody care to call the price that it will top out at?
