Looks like people have woken up to the potential here looking at the recent rise at TYM
anybody got up todate new on this company??
RNS Number : 3449O Maghreb Minerals PLC 28 June 2010 ? 28 June 2010 Maghreb Minerals PLC ("Maghreb Minerals" or the "Company") Corporate Update and Issue of Equity Tunisian Exploration Activities Following the 25 May 2010 announcement that Maghreb Minerals was to resume exploration activities in Tunisia, the Board of Maghreb Minerals is pleased to announce drilling operations have commenced on the Zriba-Guebli CaF2 (fluorspar) project deposit, following the successful mobilisation of the exploration team. The Zriba drilling program is a reconnaissance one aimed at confirming the projected extensions to the south (Zriba South) and north of the Zriba orebody (Zriba North) and verifying the old "S" series of holes drilled by the Tunisian Mines Department, the Office National des Mines (ONM) in the 1970's. The ONM drilled 11 wide-spaced holes in the Zriba South block and 5 in Zriba North block. The two blocks represent potentially large extensions to the Zriba orebody. The program will be conducted in two stages. In the first stage (beginning now and continuing into mid-August), 3 holes will be drilled in Zriba South and 1 hole in Zriba North. The Zriba South holes will consist of: a twin hole to the ONM borehole No. S184 an infill hole between ONM holes No. S181 and No. S183 to test for continuity a hole to test the extension of the mineralization to the south of ONM hole No. S183 The results from these holes will be reviewed during the Ramadan break. If the results are positive, 3 to 4 additional holes will be drilled in Zriba South and/or Zriba North. It is anticipated that the Zriba drilling program will be completed by the end of October 2010, after which the drill rig will be moved to the Bou Jabeur EP. More information on the Zriba project is available on the Company's website: www.maghrebminerals.co.uk.

http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/prices-and-news/news/market-news/market-news-detail.html?announcementId=10505618 Well I didn't expect this today. :-)
Regarding todays news of new appointment. I note that both Dumbar Dales and Richard Linnell held those positions at Brinkley Mining. Does anyone have any history of their performance there. I shall look but just if anyone is familiar.
Looks like things are moving forward.
A sure sign this is about to move higher.
are you on L2 cant see huge buys on L1
Asking full 1.75 for 250K and will let you sell 500K at 1.6
Perhaps there is light at the end of the tunnel !! A nice placing at a premium to the SP. That's covered things for the rest of 2010. If Firebird didn;t think they could find a JV they'd not be buying more ! Also we have a new fund partner coming on board - a Canadian investment group Some research on advfn about a possible linkup with Canada Fluorspar. Just speculation for now but interesting! Firebird have been buying shares there recently.
Nice to have you on board here. It' been a long time since I have came across your name, if my memory serves me correct then it was the CMR thread (could be wrong but I think that was the one). Yes can currently buy at 1.4p (at least when I checked today), looks like a few buys have been ticking through, nothing massive but possibly someone accumulating a few. Can buy under the 1.5p that Firebird are happy to pay, can't be a bad thing. G.L. All
Asking now 1.4 and does not take too much to get it moving.

that should be Maghreb. also NOT NOT NOT endorsing the HER tip, just alerting you to it's presence. I got onto MMS via a tip, did do my own research, considered long and hard before buying in and still got burned, so be careful.
Hey, Titanic. If you're are into miners, there was this person who just popped onto the SOLO oil board to give a tip on miner Herencia ( HER ). I know nothing about the company but had a brief look at the chat room. Not to put you off poor old Mahgreb, DYOR etc. but thought I'd pass it on. ATB, esp. to holders of MMS.
If you've read the available data in the RNS and earlier documents and still can't decide about MMS, probably best you give it a miss on principle. Otherwise you might just as well flip a coin. Plenty of other opportunities out there.
Resisted the urge to top up, very tempting though to average down, but have other things I'd rather have a punt with rather than putting all my eggs in one basket, have got my eye on RKH and they look good value at the moment but all depends on their drilling results, saw what happened to Desire when they failed to hit a viable amount of oil on their test drills.
My opinion for what it is worth is that this is an extremely risky share. If a j.v. is found within the next 12 months then the sp could catapult, the downside is that some worry that Firebird will take the assets and leave shareholders with little value if a j.v. can't be found. Personally only put in what you can afford to lose, it could be a multibag or bust. I picked up more at 1.25 today but have enough now and I am well aware of the risk.
Got in at 1.88 and am still hopeful of at least getting my money back. Seems very volatile at the moment - only a week or so a go it was up to 2.30 or more. Only bought £500 worth and looked at it as i could either lose the lot or there could be a nice upside.
