It just doesn't feel right, all this time and we are no where close to getting oil out this year.!
It’s a shame that this shambles of a company can’t get their oil out the ground and I am certainly not hopeful of it happening this year
While everyone is fighting like cats and dogs oil.getting to $100.
It is predicted it would pass $150 this year.
Let's hope finally MB can get H1 into production.
MB surely wants more than anyone here to have H1,2.... asap.
MB whatever he is can't be a con man.
We all know weather conditions is irrelevant and H1 can be put into production in a short time, in a week or 2 or so.
I am sure we get some good news soon.
Fingers crossed.
Turns out it wasn’t nonsense because here we are still! I commented many times about the corruption and bureaucracy in Mongolia being a huge risk. Con research needed for that, just common sense. And we know that some of your sources and research were completely misinterpreted.
Condorman has come up with many apparently good reasons why MB is the right man for the job. If there’s one area he can be criticised, then it’s that he’s possibly being naive in thinking Mongolia is an easy place to do business and not thought about the corruption. But then many on here, including you, could be accused of that!!
How many time do I need to tell you that prospects are brilliant but we just have wrong leader to take us to production and start making money.
PM has so much potential just need the right guy to take it forwards..
Read my comments and they are positive about PM but I have not for very long time posted anything positive about MB.
Anyway I'll leave it that and see how well our useless CEO performs next year.
Doc you were talking nonsense without any reliable source. You just question everything when people post. No real research was done from your part
I'm stating the facts about the credibility of the current CEO. And why we are at 3p .
“You gotta read both sides and not shoot people down for posting the facts.”
You must be f’ing kidding me. You were one of the happy clappy gang not too many months ago, criticising anyone who dared to question anything to do with MATD. I’m afraid you’re not put in the Hamm bucket.
Well observed jimibrush. Its funny how people here only like to read pro of the company but are not willing to read cons.
You gotta read both sides and not shoot people down for posting the facts.
Why has the SP tanked.
Paraphrasing "I will post what I want here. If you don't like reading it move on". "I don't tell posters what to do and neither should you. If you don't like what I write just move on" still the hypocrite then??
Condor man. Stop talking rubbish. MB might be a good geologist but not a good CEO.
I will post what I want here. If you don't like reading it move on.
You still can't point 1 thing successful about this so called 2nd to non CEO.
Great post Condor Man. Hopefully that will stop his continuous whining. Notice I said "hopefully".
I'm sure MB's CV is very impressive but as the saying goes "you're only as good as your last game".
No doubt these oilers rely on a team of people to deliver results with the CEO essentially picking the team & directing their efforts to achieve success. At present the PM team (even with native Mongolians on the board) aren't cutting the mustard.
he has a degree in geology from liverpool university. and a master’s in petroleum geology at imperial college london.
as soon as he joined lasmo, he was posted to indonesia aged 26. for 20 years at lasmo, he worked on some of their biggest projects around the world. indonesia was lasmo’s most active area it saw a lot of exploratory drilling in the early 1980s. under his stewardship lasmo discovered the madura bd gas field in the madura strait, off east java, indonesia. the field is a major gas producer.
in the 1990s he moved to colombia, where he was acting exploration manager. he then relocated to vietnam, where as exploration manager, made 3 big discoveries.
then in 1997, buck and his family moved to libya, where he spent the next five years. he stayed on after eni acquired lasmo in 2001, taking a post as country manger in ****stan and then later in iran. i was a shareholder in lasmo at the time when it got taken over at a hefty premium by eni.
he left eni in 2006, when salamander energy head hunted him. he moved to singapore as the company’s chief operating officer, a position he held until 2015, when salamander was taken over by ophir energy.
he then did some consulting work for a while until petro matad came along in 2017.
in total he has over 35 years of experience in international exploration and production.
not if you think you can do better, which the way you are posting, implies you certainly can - apply for his job.... i'm sure the institutional holders will be falling over themselves to employ a bright spark arm chair exploration and negotiation guru like yourself.
get a grip and stop the whining. you may have been in this for 5 years or more and feeling very sore.. but not everyone is in the same boat.... so they dont want to be reading mundane housewife type whinging about being in a dud for 5 years .... ad infinitum. stop the repetitive whining - we get it, you are hurt, mike is a failed ceo blah blah blah... spare us the droning..
If I may: All of this back and forth stuff is ultimately due to the fact that we investors are all damned to speculate. Speculation based on the SP and the (lack of) positive results. I hate to see the SP dive - but I don't know what the reasons are. Would be good to get some official info (hello - anyone listening?).
I honestly sympathize with CondorMan's posts as far as - at least from my POV - you can't make a single individual person responsible for the lack of progress. That would be too easy.
I truly hope that the PM issues can be solved very soon and we as a company can finally get moving.
Then, you look like a fool for calling a failed CEO who you say has "experience in the oil sector is 2nd to none"
How do you come up with the second to non experience..
"You can't name his 1 success in the past 5 years"
then what ? if i did or didnt, what then ?
AND . You can't name his 1 success in the past 5 years
"The only person to blame for the failure is MB. "
and ?
"We all invested here in to a company which has so much potential. We are all let down by one man."
and ?
" He had one which was an obvious one to find which was heron and even that he screwed up."
and ?
Condor man. Please list success of MB . He had one which was an obvious one to find which was heron and even that he screwed up.
Please enlighten us with MBs success.
Condor man. The only person to blame for the failure is MB. If you don't like reading my post then move on.
We all invested here in to a company which has so much potential. We are all let down by one man.
How is telling the truth called childish.
I don't tell posters what to do and neither should you. If you don't like what I write just move on.
So no doubt an update will be attached with it.
Mr B, I hope you are reading this. This has gone on for far too long! You/MG need to do something and fast please. It is becoming increasingly unacceptable.
Master, you are sounding like a lover scorned. all this whinging, giving precious advice as to what mongolia should do and shouldnt do, what matd should do, etc .... you really think it's going affect change ?
You seem to come across as a manic depressive with your relentless personal attacks against MB, and mongolia. For a start, Mongolia is a sovereign country, it can run itself, exactly the way it wants to, without armchair geo politicians like you giving them priceless advice and calling them a "3rd world country"... it's stupidly arrogant and pompous. As for MB, he is there by the support of the institutional investors. He was bought in by them.... his experience in the oil sector is 2nd to none.. working in africa, uk etc... even was leading guy for Lasmo when it got taken over. So your rants and crying as to what he's done wrong and what he should do etc.. is just childish tripe.
You need to take a long look in the mirror and stop your pathetic and sad crying into your milk attitude. This is AIM... every stock on AIM comes with a massive wealth warning. In a relationship, if things turn sour, you split and move on. You on the other hand, just rant and hurl pathetic advice knowing full well it'll be useless.
These boards are not a therapy centre where scorned investors like you can vent your frustrations to get things of their chests.... as that is as pointless as venting your anger at your shadow for following you around everywhere you go.
Man up, take responsibility for your actions - no one to blame but yourself.
Anything is possible here . MARKET has lost trust. When he said 3 months in December the SP climbed up very fast. In his latest interview he said by end of year heron will be producing.
No one can believe a word that come out of his mouth now.
The Mrpam minister said 3 months in October it's been a year and we are still waiting
Madness how Mongolia operates. No wonder its a 3rd world country with progress at this pace.
They should take some innovative lessons from the Chinese . From very poor nation to superpower .
