currently 93p to sell all of my holding... Can't even buy £500 at present - going straight to NT...
Not sold a bean either...congrats and well done to those who have, like I said yesterday - profit is profit and if you're happy with it, then that's all that matters...personally, I've held this long, for me another few months to see more results & news being released is neither here nor there. IMO it goes without saying that the next set of results will be positive - SAND need to ensure they are able to present a positive spin & justify to their shareholders why Marl is such an attractive offer & why they have gone in so early to secure it. Most majors wouldn't look at this until (as Sandstorm have said themselves) the project is more "de-risked" - in short more drill results & a PFS - HOWEVER, SAND aren't stupid, they know exactly what's in the ground & with the results that are already in the public domain, know exactly what they are getting. It's probably one of the reasons for coming in so early with an offer and their hope is, it'll keep the big guns away...no chance they'd be able to pick HM up after the PFS... On a side note, interesting that we haven't heard anything from our 2nd biggest shareholder...Sprott?? Drop was clearly orchestrated to fill an order - just like the price was driven down to 60p and held there all those weeks/month to allow Sandstorm to try and pick this up on the cheap...surely that's plain to see to everyone???
When you say "not declared", you mean not factored into a resource update? To be fair, they're not 50% behind on drilling updates, more like 12%!!
Unless you got as good as guaranteed place to put your dosh after selling to give you between 10 to 20% returns then there is no point to sell...YET. IMHO.
50% of HM drilling holes not declared as yet to shareholders of MARL........Is this legal in a take-over situation.............Does not seem transparent
I have noticed that too , Someone is clearly on the hunt for cheap shares
Understanding people selling to invest in other companies but do people really think SAND sp will plummet. I don't and if I was an existing holder than I'd be buying MARL now. Watch for the rebound this afternoon
Got just over £31k tied up in MARL and I am not selling for love nor erm, well not this little money. I have read the documents and appendices and it seems to me, that this is not a done deal at all. They need at least a 75% majority for the combination as it is, if not then over 50% on takeover terms (where the offer may be increased). They reserve the right to withdraw the offer if it is not settled by 31//08/2017 and it's four months until then. They are trying to get Mariana on the cheap, knowing full well the amended PFS is going to be well above what is in the public domain. I am waiting and watching.....there is more to come to this table that what is on offer currently.
Someone is mopping up and the price is bouncing back 93p to sell nearly 200k. Holding on for a bit GLA
F29, Good posts...my exact thoughts too and why I'm long and strong.
to sell @90p or risk it getting to an equiv £1.20 eventual t/o price is a difference of 33%.Could be a lot more if someone else wants in.Or I could be completely wrong,"YOU PAYS YOUR MONEY AND YOU TAKES YOUR CHOICE" Given the amount of alleged confident institutional holders in Sandstorm,it would seem unlikely they would not start to "mop up" Mariana shares at anything below £1 for a minimum 10% gain and if news then affects Sandstorm then more than that.GLA
Yep . My thinking too.Let's be fair,we've all shook our heads over the last 2/3 years when we should have sold and didn't etc. Can't blame anyone for cashing the chips in at this point especially those who've been in a while and have had chances to sell at high profits (like me ) and didn't .However,he who dares rodders is my game plan and i think i will be rewarded to the tune of a lot more than what's on offer at the moment .GLA .
Totally agree Fulmar - watch this space ...
IMO the Sandstorm sp will be lifted by imminent news, which we all know is on the way.If the news hits of either HM or Erg before the proposed t/o then it make a difference to the overall t/o price.Sandstorm/Marl know the Sand price will drop initially and then gain on news.there are twists and turns yet IMHO
Just for the record I too am out. Didn't make the high but don't want to watch it drift. Holding the cash for a while.....
Sold half mine first thing too. Uncharted territory here..
yep, sold half mine. Will watch price over next few days to see if I can get a bit more than 95p for the rest. GL all
Sold 2/3 of my holding this morning. I've been greedy before and paid the price - £26k in the bank safe and secure. Gives a bit more peace of mind.
Maybe that was the last of the April warrants then?
703k trade at 9.34 for 94.396p. Not sure if that was delayed?
Of course, that still doesn't stop them being out voted if PI's mobilise against them, which is why (IMO) itsyou's 8.25 post re SAND buying shares is likely to be spot on...
So all those listed as "irrevocable" under 2.1 d ii) will not: " accept, agree to or give any undertaking in respect of any offer.......made by any person other than the Offeror" So even if a higher bid was made by someone else, it seems their hands are tied.

Well done to all who did well and have sold out :-). I'm still in and can't help but think that there is still a twist or two to come from this story ..........
Skibba, If you want to be pedantic, bought at 29p, sold at 95.51p = 229.34% profit. Some people calculate bought for £10k sold for £30k as a 3 bagger, but true, that includes the original stake. What I will say to all MARL holders, don't be too emotionally attached to the share, look at it in hard business terms, a profit in your pocket is better than a slow decline in price, as shareholders the company has no thought or concern for your investment. As I have said previously, there are plenty more shares out there that will give a better and quicker return, do your research and be positive. Remember, "He who dares ... WINS"
