Yes when LUCE share prices was last at these levels Oct 2017. EPE was trading at £3+
Just amazing how this is building value, best of luck to those still in.
thanks will check it out. loving Luce.
At 212p per LUCE share as I write, the value of the ESO holding is approx. 85M. The market cap. of ESO [at mid-price] is a mere 65M. Everything else is in the price for free [including 18M net cash pile and the valuable Pharmacy2U stake]. Some big buys in the last couple of days, coupled with the valuation anomaly could mean the SP taking off North very soon. Bargain hunters take note.
Luceco has managed to reduce its debt and cover the 2019 final dividend in the first half. While there are questions over commercial demand for its products as the real estate market grapples with gauging office demand in the coming years, the company looks in good shape to tackle that challenge. Buy.
i will be happy with £2
I noted this morning when the above reported their interim results that the value of their holding of LUCE was on the balance sheet as at 31.7 for 57.3M [they hold approximately 25% of the shares in issue]. I calculate that the value of their holding at last night's close would be 75.77M given the recent surge in the share price [results also seem well received today]. I further calculate that the NAV per share will have increased from 303p [at 31.7 so includes write down of unlisted investments]to approximately 360p all other things being equal. This means that with net cash of 18.2M stripped out, the investment portfolio is being valued at a whopping 53% discount to book value. Shares currently being bought for 208p.
It's true to say the shares of ESO are highly illiquid compared to LUCE but represent excellent value for those wanting cheaper exposure to what looks like a winner.
I see Liberum Capital have a new target price of 220.00
Good to see they boosted the pension fund last week... nudge nudge ;-) ;-)

We are confident that a confirmed improvement in near-term demand, improved gross margin and tight control of overheads should deliver full year 2020 Adjusted Operating Profit of at least £23m provided there is no severely disruptive second wave of coronavirus infection in H2. This would yield an Adjusted Operating Margin of at least 14.5%. Significant additional progress is possible if the second half is unaffected by the macroeconomic uncertainty referred to above.
I too sold out today with a 195% gain. After the recent run up my target was reached. But i will keep watching progress here. This is a very good , well led company with good prospects. Good luck to all holders.
Must be some big news coming on the 8th of September that we don’t know about yet
Nice work anon, glad you made a few bob!
Certainly worth watching, there have been some decent swings over the last few years.

Nothing at all wrong with the company, but I just have a feeling and am looking to go to cash as much as I can.
I'll be keeping my eye on it though.
Kingfisher shares surge as DIY grips Europe. Points to a healthy outlook for home improvements and LUCE sales demand .

What a great update!
Given the Group's strong profitability and healthy liquidity, the Board considers it likely that dividends will be reinstated at interim stage. A final decision will be announced in the 2020 Interim Results.

Yes, I saw the RNS.
I agree there's money to be made. Either way, I think this is the kind of share I'd like to hold longer term, because I think it's a good company.
It's all about knowing when to buy and sell, the age old problem.
I still can't believe I was in profit here last week and am now 25% down. Crazy.
Look at the RNS, Black Rock have reduced their holding.
This could well go lower if they continue to sell the remaining 5% however I suspect they are just top slicing for now.
I've followed this stock from IPO and although the company has had its moments there's money to be made IMO. Not in at the moment but watching.

Falling price, rising volume suggests that the market has lost confidence here.
I'm beginning to contemplate adding.
And another 3% off.
