Like a Nunn joke
Nunn
Just needs to get into the habit
Of paying dividends
livestock,
Lloyds has a progressive dividend policy already. A one off special dividend as I said would make little difference to the share price other than to spike the price by the dividend amount only for it to return to where it was after it traded ex-dividend. If you honestly think that the lack of a special dividend is the reason that Lloyds shares are where they are I give up with you fella.
The market makers and analysts want to see growing profits year on year and low impairments going forward ie no recession. Until both are delivered, they will continue to trade in this narrow band in my opinion.
if you think a 1p or whatever special dividend will change Lloyds' share price fortunes, I suggest you write to Mr Nunn mate and suggest it to him.......
"Special dividends are precisely that, one-offs. They will not provide anything other than a temporary spike in the share price until they go ex-dividend"
Investors buying in for special dividend on top of a progressive dividend the share price would keep going up as Lloyds investors would be getting a higher payment in their pocket all share have a pull back ex dividend , the next year would be the same attracting more investors buying in pushing the SP higher
Ha ha ha nunn pun intended
Year's progress = Nunn!

"As investors sell their shares the price would drop I thought you would of know this."
Not sure what you're going on about there. I'm making the point that if investors don't like the CEO and his performance, they should either take him to task at an EGM or sell up. I'm sure MS will willingly buy them. I would have thought that was quite self-explanatory and unambiguous.
Special dividends are precisely that, one-offs. They will not provide anything other than a temporary spike in the share price until they go ex-dividend.

"vote with one's feet and sell your shares"
As investors sell their shares the price would drop I thought you would of know this

"Why would the share price be higher now if we'd had a special payment"
Shareholders would be getting a higher dividend yield with a special payment plus would attract more investors buying in pushing up the price
NatWest went up 10% on the day of announcing a special payment
Investors want a return on their investment
Why would the share price be higher now if we'd had a special payment ? The cash would have left the business and the share price would go down again after it had gone ex-dividend.
And he is on a salary of £5.6 million! So a lucrative 1st year for Charlie.....not so the share holders!
If we had a special payment the share price would higher
Remove the buybacks how much will we be down
Year on year Lloyds up 0.67% well done Charlie
A mediocre start, lacks visionary leadership skills and ambition lloyds badly needs to drive the bank and future share price forward.
Raining " cats and dogs " in parts of Cumbria this morning.
Likewise Suf,
The market-makers pricing of Lloyds is not Nunn's fault. The answer of course for those ****ging him off is to call him to task at an AGM/EGM or vote with one's feet and sell your shares.
Actually he done an ok Job
Just needs to work on some positive PR on the updates to excite the market.
Then hopefully the share price can step up to the next level
It's Charlie's Nunn anversary tomorrow share price has rallied from 45.63p to 45.86 that's 0.50% higher, hasn't he well done from the buybacks, dividends closing branches, the banks made 716 thousand in extra earnings from the last 6 months with 6 interest hikes this year and the share price is 0.50% higher
