Usual weekend update -
I started this fantasy portfolio in 2016 to challenge various posters perception that Lloy is 'the worst share ever' or a 'dire share', on the 8th Oct 2016 I invited WL/Newchurch to choose an alternative ftse 100 company so I could run a comparison
On 8th Oct 2016 - 1000 quid bought 206 BP. shares & 1905 Lloy shares
Today's value
BP. 206 @ 336 = 692
Lloy 1905 @ 33.4 = 636
In April 2017 Invest4life suggested I add Glencore -
On 22-4-17 - 1000 quid bought 335 Glen shares & 1553 Lloy shares
Today's value
Glen 335 @ 145 = 486
Lloy 1553 @ 33.4 = 519
In July 2017 Nucky suggested I add RBS -
On 12-7-17 1000 quid bought 384 RBS & 1512 Lloy
Today's value
RBS 384 @ 123 = 472
Lloy 1512 @ 33.4 = 505
In July 2017 Utrickytrees asked that I add BARC -
On 30-7-17 1000 quid bought 479 Barc & 1504 Lloy
Today's value
Barc 479 @ 97.6 = 468
Lloy 1504 @ 33.4 = 502
In Sept 2018 Motley Fool recommended Diageo over Lloyds
On 9-9-18 1000 quid bought 37.3 DGE & 1704 Lloy
DGE 37.3 @ 2633 = £982
Lloy 1704 @ 33.4 = £569
This weeks observation - Small lift this week, Covid19 fear continues to have a devastating affect on the market, imposed cancellation of bank divi's had a devastating affect on the banking sector, small consolation to see Lloyd has faired better than RBS & Barc,
A very basic comparison that does no include divi yield, IMO those still suggesting Lloy is 'the worst share ever' or a 'dire share' seriously need to examine their concept of investing.
Real deal
30-3-20 I bought 15,000 Lloy @ 33.606 = £5079
Current value -
LLoy 15000 @ 33.4 = £5010

All the while later and no response, Asperger you are the better person - by far.
Roo -
I know you like to think you're an OK guy but from my point of view your like a nasty little terrier dog snapping at my heals - what's your ambition here? to bully me off the board?
I make you a gentlemen offer - you never reference me again and I will never reference you - do we have a deal?
Stole not sole.Hold it is , was that what you really meant.Lol.
Asp, remind me what you said about doris. Was it "boris sole my divi"?
You are just what a circus needs, more clowns.
H&K.
Theosus -
If you would like to make a suggestion I can add it to my fantasy portfolio
or
Feel free to post your own
Yeah, yeah, yeah boring and untrue.
May I remind you it is not the lie but the cover up.
Hugs and kisses, as you sow so do you reap.
Roo - As it seems you do indeed have dementia allow me to remind you a 2nd time! - my 'buy the dips' slogan was in reference to Lloyds (the company) buying back share during 2018 2019 - as usual you are desperately trying to twist facts around to suit your own agenda - typical of a loony lefty - good luck with your new caretaker opposition leader for the next 10-15 years.
If you can keep your head when Roo is losing his and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when Roo doubts you,
But make allowance for his doubting too . . .

Asperger. thanks for your weekly work again.it disappoints that £5000 invested in Lloyds has fallen to the level stated. This virus could not have seen as devastating and a period of rectification will see all quality shares in a better and more realistic light.

You confessing to Lloyds bashing JamesRoo? - wonder what your motive could be ???
Don`t take Lloyds bashing for Asperger bashing. All including me deep down respect the effort you put in for us with your weekly updates and the work you commit to for Charity with our annual gifts.
I on many occasions criticise your opinion on buybacks not that there are inherently wrong but the timing. lack of balance and unplanned policy they try to hide is concerning.
I wish to close with a vocal ,Asperger is a jolly good fella, but the format does not really lend itself to that.So I can but say thanks, tomorrow normal service will
be restored.
Take care all.
I note 'Lloyd bashing' is still alive and well,
So let's see a Mid-week update
