Rather than buybacks in relation to the proceeds of the Cala sale, I’d like a special dividend
The obvious is something that stirs the SP into an upward swing…..
The sale of CALA has been flagged, maybe some under performing elements will be slated for rationalisation / sale.
A buy back (presumably using the CALA sale funds) is also widely expected.
There could be a change in dividend…..to provide more flexible capital returns,
A quarterly smaller dividend would have less impact on the share price and if reduced by 50% provides cash for more regular buy backs in future….
Expect an update on where capital will be allocated for best returns and the potential impact of PRA action on funded reinsurance.
What would you like to see Mr Simoes announce?
Dividends will be reinvested at a higher share price so expect 55-59p shortly
I must have missed that price then! I think some solid news on the sale should give this the impetus to break current price band
You can do that with any share, doesn't make it a share is performing well.
You can make money selling on the rise and buy back in cheaper
Site share, every time it makes a gain it loses it the same day, can't sustain any growth. New guy needs to earn his corn.
As I note the day high is 257.60. Cannot see 259.
Quick visit to 259 this morning and similar visits in Jan, March and April this year.
Resistance is strong and no breakout at this time.
Capital markets event day is 12th june - has the potential to be interesting.
6th June is payment day of the dividend; no results due
High range of the SP this morning
Quickly fading away!
Divi payment this week.
Would be good to receive Cala news
Much a do with market sentiment as much as anything else. FTSE & other indices all up this morning. Shein are purported to seeking a listing and this all helps lift the mood.
Becouse the government have gone on a walkabout
Inside information on the Cala sale?
I think that's why the share price is on the rise.
Nice move in the share price this morning - anyone think of a specific reason why?
& added again, small.
I wouldn't mind betting Jeffrey's are quite a bit closer to the mark the Duetche Bank come the end of the year.
I'm happy for them to divest and focus on their core business offer
Is selling Cala a good thing for lgen or a missed opportunity, plenty of house builders seem to think there's profit to made from Cala and interest rates are about to start dropping
Broker certainly a bit late to the party but seems to ignore the potential sale
....on this right now.
Juicy divi soon.
First definitive speech from our new, very shrewd CE, having taken 3 months to analyse this monolith.
Press talk of selling off our property arm to make us slimmer and more agile (Aviva-like!)
I trust it s a joke?
