One month ago i upset a few people, suggesting the Kromek sp would struggle to stay above 5p. I was accused of always being negative.. The sp has steadily and consistently fallen since then proving my comments ,that i was being realistic not negative. As a long term investor of Kromek ,i and others have warned recent "converts" as to the folly of The Durham Smoke and Mirrors. Please do not shoot the messenger again.
Oh really? You feel that your comment is now realistic because it has slightly dropped below 5p. Its hardly struggling to keep above 5p . Even if it was and does in the near future thats not the problem the problem is you claim to "know" what the future holds and can predict what is going to happen to a share which clearly you do not. Anyone can make comments on a board and come back later and say "see I told you so" to only the ones that actually turn out to be true. I'm wary of anyone who tries to make out they are some kind of fortune teller or have magical predicting powers. THis ones a punt for me. I'm happy to cut my losses if this starts to fall below 5p consistently which it is not really doing yet.
You have missed the point Notso., i have never ever claimed to predict the future. Look again at my comments. I refer to the Kromek HISTORY of promises and announcements of "good" news going back over many years. Look at the history of the sp. This company was recommended by Questor in the Daily Telegraph (believing their story ) back in March 2017. He expressed his regrets in 2021.
I note you imply Kromek is something of a punt rather than a solid investment. I wish you good luck and profit, but do not shoot the messenger. My prediction of this Smoke and Mirrors sp struggling to stay above 5p was nothing clever on my part, just history repeating itself..Any other investor in Kromek ,"involved" over the life time of this outfit would tell you the same.Keep calm ,i wish you success but fear the worse for any investor in Kromek.
@notso, sorry notso but iron is bang on the nail. Like me, he’s heard / tasted the sh-1t that kmk have fed us over many years and seen the trend continue down for many years. Good luck with your punt.
Fair enough. Presumably you don’t hold any shred then? If you are convinced the only way is down why would you hold any shares?
Yes do still hold some shares. Reason available to sell as a loss to avoid Capital gains tax. Maybe foolish but that is why i still hold some.. Also live in hope that somehow there will be a change in fortune, perhaps a take over, sadly at present price , little to lose
Hopefully ,would love to be proved wrong, but history of Kromek does not fill me with optimism. I do hope your "punt" is a winner ,at least you see it as that, not an investment on the "widows and orphans" line. Good luck to us both.
Just to add. Billyb. has indeed been down the same road as me. I have noted his always accurate comments on this page going back for a long period of time.
Notso.
Like Iron and Billy I too have seen new posters on this board full of beans at the potential for Kromek, whether it be ventilators, pathogen detectors in every classroom etc.
Most, with the exception of Mike who will soon be in this camp, gradually change to realise that the CEO and senior team are really don't execute and deliver against a real opportunity - this is aligned to very ropey governance and non existence accounting standards. Best wait for the next accounts to see how much the CEOs salary has increased (again), how many share options he has been given or repriced (again), what percentage of stock have they written off (again), what percentage of debtor simply wont pay them (again) etc.
The market clearly takes the same view of the management team but there was hope that the new chair and cfo would provide basic business guidance to the muppet of a CEO, we have seen glimmers but not yet the light.
Ok Well I feel for you sounds like you fellas have had quite a crummy time with this one. 4.5 p is my stop for this I wont lose too much but you never know there's alwasy a chance it will bounce.
Notso.
You may well have bought at the right time. It will have its usual bounce as ST gives it a write up.
All I know is, with a commercially astute CEO with a science background, this would be 2-3x where it is.
Yes Mr Thompson does seem to write advertorials for the highest bidder. Been caught out a couple of times with his bad tips. I stopped subscribing to the IC a while back. Seems a bit dodgy. FT in general tend to take down any good shares being shorted heavily and back a lot of crappy companies.
This feels to Everett inch the Black and Dekker end of the scientific diagnostic equipment manufacturers. If they can’t turn a profit after all these cash injections they possibly never will. As for Thompson, all these journalists think theyRe clever pallying up with directors, but they are simply taken advantage of because they are great at snaring the unwary for them
