Obviously not but hopefully it can recover it's momentum.
this is more like it,
I have loaded up
Eoth lockdown continuing Kgf should perform strongly Q4
Wonder what the SP will do with the news that KGF are handing back the government relief. Probably wont change much like other companies that did the same.
...and a Stockopedia stockrank of 99/100
Same here at 267p. Looking at FY21 consensus estimates then profit after tax shouldn’t be too far away from FY17, share price around that time was circa 350p and there are 150m less shares in issue today. Plus Kingfishers marketcap is less than book value. Focus on home improvements continue then this looks like a safe investment.
more for me at 266p
looks like 270p was a buy for now.
??
They are up 200% over the last 12 months. These results were already factored in the price.
Russian business sale. Does anyone know if there was any mention of distributing funds to share holders following the sale of the Russian arm of the business at any time ? I cannot seem to find any info on it !
Seems very similar to the moves of Halfords who yesterday also posted good results and spiked momentarily only.
I consider KGF have done the responsible thing regarding the dividend due the the present global situation and are holding onto as much funds as possible since we do not know how / when things will return to normality.
But out of all other retail businesses except food & Halfords, KGF are probably a good bet for investment and as this gradually dawns on investors, we should see a steady climb in the sp as more investors come on board.
Personally I can see a sp of 360P easily within the next 5 months.
Yes, SP disappointing considering results.
I suspect that the results have been "held back" if you know what I mean. With a view to keeping some up the sleeve for Q4 and finals.
IMHO
Oh thats a bit naughty thanks Tomo
Can only assume that no mention of the dividend being reinstated is behind the drop.
Anecdotally my mate works at the Blackpool B & Q, tells me they have met their targets with over 8 weeks to go, queues form long before the store opens. There was a problem a while ago getting stock but now on top of it. He ,along with quite a few of his colleagues have joined the “ Sharing our future 1+1 scheme “ effectively getting the shares at half price although there is a limit to how much you can put in plus you have to hold for a set length of time. Still, good way to incentivise the workforce.
Good results, sp drops? When will I ever learn that companies to throw your money at are the ones with huge debts and that make no money. DIY disaster.
Why is this being sold off? Did the market expect better than 17.9%???

Kingfisher's sales rise 17.4% on pandemic home improvement boom
Thu, 19th Nov 2020 07:11
LONDON, Nov 19 (Reuters) - Home improvement retailer
Kingfisher on Thursday reported a 17.4% jump in
underlying sales over the latest quarter, continuing to benefit
from the popularity of do-it-yourself (DIY) during the COVID-19
pandemic.
The group, which owns B&Q and Screwfix in Britain and
Castorama and Brico Depot in France and other markets, said its
total sales rose 17.6% on a constant currency basis to 3.5
billion pounds ($4.6 billion) in the third quarter to Oct. 31.
It said underlying, or like-for-like, sales were up 12.6% in
its fourth quarter so far to Nov. 14, largely reflecting the
impact of more recent lockdown measures.
We might have a similar move tomorrow (Wednesday) to that of Halfords ie: +8% . So keep an eye on Halfords tomorrow
which may give a clue as to what may happen to KGF
What effect on the SP if a final dividend is announced on Thursday? They scrapped the interim but can see a final divi being issued given the huge cash pile and excellent trading period.
I see Homebase are up for sale. Could this have assisted in the 6.3% increase of KGF`s share price today ? and how much further can this company go .
I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a broker upgrade before next week.
Good to hear. IMO I think the current broker estimates of 546m net profit are too conservative, but forecast p/e of 11 shows there is good value here either way. The key point is if the can still grow after this exceptional year. gl
Looking forward to the Q3 results next Thursday. I have a friend who is high up in Screwfix and they have been breaking record, after record, after record through September.
Should get back up to 350p level at least.
