Monday, Tuesday quiet everywhere. Wednesday is over 60 day. I am not, but I have a friends card. Car Park is lethal as it is pensioners day out. Busy though. Then Friday Saturday is busy too.
Went into our local B&Q on Monday, couldn't believe how few customers. More staff than customers. Not good.
why the slide lately guys, looking to invest some of my pension into here but want to make sure it is safe to do so. cheers Bob
Bit of a correction of yesterdays slide....right thing to do was to top up. Can always top slice today.
Today's slide is bigger than I would expect. So good time to top up. Hope I am right.
Predicted the tesco drop months ago.... these are next 200p within 6 month. So many reasons and even the directors are bailing!
Still holding and will probably keep holding..at this level dividends should be good. If it slides again, will top up.
Corlis, tend to agree....worth holding still for better days ahead. Very nearly topped back up this morning when I saw 317p !
NO; KGF is just having a little breather after yesterdays rise for 4hrs - one day. This will keep rising steadily for another week.
Sorry but it is time for me to take some profit, £3.24 is too good to miss, I will keep 1000 shares in my portfolio, just so I can keep track on what is going on. GL everyone.
Getting a woman in: You know how it is when you need some work doing. You get a bloke in and he does a decent enough job. But it takes longer and costs more than you expected. This must be how investors in Kingfisher feel as Sir Ian Cheshire prepares to step down as Chief Executive. Results have been reasonable, given that Sir Ian’s seven years have spanned a property crash and an economic depression. Shares are up about 40%, though weak this year. They hopped 4.3% after consensus-beating first-half numbers. While pretax profits fell 6.5% to £375 million, retail profit rose 3.3% to £390 million in constant currencies. Usually, when building work needs finishing you call a Polish guy. Kingfisher has instead recruited a French woman, Veronique Laury. Nothing wrong with that. However, it is the French side of Kingfisher, whose Castorama unit Ms Laury runs, that has damped profits.Ms Laury, who becomes the fifth current female FTSE 100 Chief Executive, should roll her sleeves up. She has her work cut out to show the City that disappointing French numbers can be blamed entirely on the morosite of Gallic consumers and not, in part, on her management.
The writing was on the wall....lol
and it was the news I wanted, didn't expect the change of CEO or the share buy back though.
corlis, fingers crossed...hope you make a bit of profit here.
I think it will be good so just bought for a quick fire 5%
Next Wednesday 10th Sept....hope it is reasonable news...not expecting great, just OK would be nice
Lots of offers, paint etc.being advertised. Kingfisher pushing to get sales up in Q3 ?
MY21, are you getting paid more then 10p for each of your posts?
Hundreds of jobs hit as Homebase shuts more stores amid mounting speculation it may sell the business: Homebase has accelerated its programme to close unprofitable shops amid mounting speculation that it may sell the business.
Not sure why price rise, so taken a sensible approach and top sliced to retain some profit.
3,6% up......let's see what the financial press has to say.
