By all accounts the company have been looking at various new projects over the last few years in Southern Africa including of course Zimbabwe.
These projects are believed to include an existing Gold project with further upside potential which if proven to be true could be interesting as long as it is value for money deal not forgetting that Zimbabwe is still Zimbabwe!
That World class explorer [the real brains behind the rest] Hillary Gumbo hails from Zimbabwe so it could all be interesting as long as it not only offers real value but also is not instead of the other projects in Botswana especially Ditau and the KSZ
My own bet is Lithium in Zimbabwe but time will tell....
So in summary despite serious mis-givings about the quality of some of the directors the technical team lead by Hillary are the real jewel in the crown.
Would it not have been necessary for KAV to secure the funds from PB first, before it could decide its strategic direction and finalise any Zimbabwe acquisition?
I would like BT to provide an update about Tamesis. Has that all been a waste of time?
That's fine - you see red flags, you don't have to invest. Walk away. Others see other things here that lead them to want to invest.
But I would defend F79 on one point. Ben's tweet yesterday said that he'd just left Botswana and was back in Zimbabwe. This is not F79 pumping blindly. He's just reporting what is in the public domain.
Now, if you're misread that piece of public data, there's a possibility that you're misread the other pieces of information available to us all. Possible. That, or you're finding some general notes of caution, that are important to here, but don't necessarily carry the weight you give them where the whole company gets written off.
Given you're presumably not invested here, your altruism to stay on the board and make sure nobody else is invested either is commendable. But can I suggest that, if you've decided this company's not for you, and if you reached that conclusion some time ago, you spend your time now researching companies that are likely to be investments for you. You could spend too much time helping others with their portfolios. Unless you stand to gain in some way if the Kavango share price does badly? Not quite sure what keeps you here.
But F79 never reads as a pumper to me. He researches carefully, and posts detailed arguments, arguments that others can engage with for sure, but far far from being empty pumps
Fukurokuju79 , the blind speculative pumping is to be admired.
Not only have you predicted where the CEO is currently located, you have predicted that the Zimbabwe plot will be oven ready.
The blind positivity, the desire to cling on and believe it’s going to come good and that the out of the blue Zimbabwe deal is a positive - some would say your delusional, I would never say such a thing about someone as desperate to pump KAV as you are.
Zimbabwe is the worst country in the world for mining for very good reasons.
Most if not all major players do not bother with Zimbabwe for some very good reasons.
Someone is selling this plot in Zimbabwe to KAVs poor performing bad judgement CEO for some very good reasons.
Your man Turney has a terrible track record of doing deals, over paying, bad terms, screwing shareholders, etc are his achievements.
You actually couldn’t have a worse combination.
Someone wants rid of a junk asset in the worst country in the world.
A CEO with a dreadful track record of deal making wants to buy it.
What can go wrong?
Keep dreaming of your oven ready , fast to cash generative Zimbabwe land of super minerals that some poor buyer is happy to sell up on the cheap because you know they are a good egg and want to help the poor KAV and little boy Turney out.
Finally don’t forget the old rule of investing; if there are 2 or more red flags it’s more likely to be a scam than a communist party meet up.
I under what you're saying devil but their are commercial sensitivities during deal negotiations. Quite possibly even a non disclosure agreement in place until any conclusion. Ben is, I believe, likely still in Zim after his visit to Bots.
I'm sure should the deal conclude it'll be released timely to the market. Until then the best he can give is that their is a potential transaction in the works, it's in Zimbabwe and it'll very likely be cash generative either already or can be relatively quickly. In effect it'll be significantly further along the curve than KAVs current assets.

Nobody can or should trust Ben Turney. He has not kept his promise to investors so many times I lost count. Like he said telegram q&a will be published? When did it happen? I am not in telegram for safety reason. Why he not publish? Why he visit Zimbabwe he say he will update us when he come back. He never did. Even now we have no idea what he is planning. He thinks investors are fools who will believe him every time? Ben Turney you cannot fool all the people all the time. Eventually it will happen no one will believe you. We have no idea what you plan in Zimbabwe. It is simple request: please tell us what you are up to???
His tweet just means it was a successful trip ime. the drilling is going well and he is pleased with what he has seen and progress so far. It doesn't mean anything in relation to the target as they aren't at the depth yet.
If only exploration was easy. Theyve some highly interesting assets and targets in their land packages. Ultimately KAV haven't got the capital a mid tier or major has to throw at it. Therefore it simply takes longer and requires more assumptions and modelling. Every step is a learning curve into the unknown, especially under the sands.
If they find mineralisation it won't be fluke. They may not find it. All they can do is what they can do, with the capital they have.
It's a case of their damned if they do and damned if they don't. Raise cash to get more exploration done and get an ear full, don't progress exploration enough and get an ear full.
Granted there are legitimate areas to discuss and debate about aspects of BT's performance in the last year, and about strategic direction, but to label him in such terms is really extreme and unjustified imo.
The truth is, we will only be able to judge this in maybe 6-12 months, and BT could still be vindicated in relation to all this. I'm intrigued to know about this Zimbabwe asset and my firm expectation is that it will represent lower hanging fruit and provide some immediate upside. And Ditau seems to be shaping up really nicely well. All imo and dyor
Oranolio - I can assume your a naive newbie and don’t know what type of people your dealing with. Anyone who knows BT know very well that you cannot trust us tweets, statements or cryptic hints.
What is this supposed to mean - It’s great to be back here now, after a very successful trip in Botswana 🇧🇼‘
A very successful trip? Do you know how many times he has said this in 4 years and how far the SP has dropped? The guy is a fraud and a charlatan.
He has once chance to save KAV and I don’t care whether it’s by pure fluke we better get the results soon
Rayteup - No one is being played. If the rise is ca short term co ordination or genuine investors who see an opportunity doesn't really matter.
KAV are due news on Ditau, KSZ drill and Zim deal which Ben is working on in Africa ATM.
Ultimately the market rises and falls constantly for a variety of reasons and motivations.
Worse case if the price rises and falls back on short term money it'll drive awareness into KAV at ahead of an anticipated news rich period, or they are genuine and it won't fall back.
Like FKC has said it's likely any rise will be sold into by a number of people as it provides the liquidity for people that no longer what to hold Kavango. As are the mechanics of any illiquid stock with minimal daily volume.
Volatility is always higher.

Thanks FKC - not a member of Telegram Group, but understood.
*sorry that should have been 1 million at 1.4p
BTW I also added some more today and so sincerely hope that this is not a ‘pump and dump’. Thanks.
There is little evidence so far that this is a classic pump and dump. These guys have been buying again today eg one trade they did to buy 1 million at 1p which was reported delayed was certainly theirs. The price would need to be considerably higher from where it is now for them to be ‘selling into the rise’. I think the sellers are just profit takers or people simply looking for liquidity which again some have informed they are doing in the telegram group.
Disagree could be much substance to the rise
There's just been a huge placing at 1p and there is no news for months...what are people expecting here lol
Makes sense FKC, assumed as much.

Hi legal
Guess you guys are not on telegram and so are probably not aware of what’s going on with the share price? A group of investors have spotted that KAV was ridiculously cheap at 1p and have all piled in. There is also a little bit of banter on Twitter. Nothing to do with any potential leak or RNS coming out as far as I can tell. I think they will keep buying and the message seems to be spreading so all good. Thanks
Not normally too leaky but anyone waiting knows their is various news items due that can be value accreditive.
Certainly nice to see some volume in trades and stock.
Not seeing too many large purchases but it all counts and nice to see.
News won't be too far away anyway from one workstrean or another.

Don't expect to hear just yet on the KSZ but not too long if they do hit the body and it's materially reportable. Think they probably have a little way to go to hit the depth, as they only recently said they're drilling the hard stuff now.
Ditau results and the 3rd party core news is also due. However I think they're more likely to RNS after Dr Mumin has interpreted and the update will be about what the assays mean in terms of the systems potential / hypothesis.
Then there is the Zim deal which I expect we will hear on.
No shortage of news due and it's likely this move is in anticipation of the above having hit a fairly stable floor at a penny and with the PB capital at that level.
Atb
I don't know FK79 - this is like record volume and so must be based on something more than just timing? The buys have been very large as well.
Not sure. Ben is in Africa ATM. Clearly has been a rise in volume but may be generally people deciding it's time to take a position as was fairly stable around the penny.
Time will tell.
Atb
Now.......legalwolf drill results are due me thinks
There must be a RNS incoming. Probably one that explains why PB are investing so heavily. The highest one day and weekly volume that KAV has had, and so I am thinking it must be something reasonably big?
Looking very good
