It will only relate if JLP/B actually promote it and we all know they are crappy at doing that
Copper360, listed on the JSE, recently announced the commencement of copper production with the production of 137 tons of copper concentrate. The share promptly doubled from 260 to 520 and is well supported above 500. The re-rate has resulted in an accretion in market value of R1.8 billion.
Roan is about to commence production at a considerably greater volume than Copper360.
We should therefore gain at least R1.8 billion in market cap and to be fair we should benefit to a far greater degree than Copper360.
However, if we only gain R1.8 billion in market cap this would take Jubilee from last nights close of 164c to around 230c.
Hold on to your hats for a quick re-rate this month to at least 230c

The word is patriarch. I did say it was your choice thanks for the contribution though after all it is a discussion board and I didn't call you any names however good luck with your investment.
HD, i dont think we will get financials now until the end of the trading year. I think the quarterly’s were just production figures, which was a tad disappointing, especially with chrome looking so good. Hopefully we hear shortly from the Roast boys shortly. I think they will bring matters up to date in Zambia.
Thanks Heroric.
Thanks for the reminder Sharky
Is May when the new targets for the next reporting year are going to be announced? I assume post Roan going live?
Mikie, do you think we can expect financials this month?
I'm also expecting the mid-week Sunday roast. Probably today...
Shuvlin, fair enough agree with that, apologies my bad. As a long term jlp er, share issues are a very touchy subject for me!
HD, initially, in interview i think LC said the first module could be ready by June. I think this was rapidly changed to the end of the year. That was clearly too ambitous.
Sorry Gray1 I did not realise you were the matriarch for this board, but just to let you know I will do whatever I want you arrogant individual
Cobalt has just been put on the back burner. In 2022 cobalt was around USD$82K per tonne, currently USD$27.8K per tonne. They are rightly focusing on copper and chrome. In a year or two, I am reasonable confident they will have the funds to add cobalt circuits
What I mean by that Heroric as I say all the time is that it is not the NUMBER of shares in issue it is the EARNINGS PER SHARE that determines the sp so the number is irrelevant taken on its own.
For myself as a private share holder in JLP the situation has become === LC and the BOD continually pursuing Expansion and Revenuer, with their salaries paid out of revenue : Whereas I wish to see more emphasis on Production and Earnings. My prime hope moving forward is that Slater has a major input into JLP, and is able to temper the over ambitious LC and his team.
The company at one stage was going to recover copper sulphide concentrates plus cobalt from historic copper sulphide tails in Zambia (300 Mt purchased), this proved an ambition too far. The market only rewards successful ambition, and not what might have been achieved. Thus I do not expect the Share Price to move up before the company proves it can produce, profitably, increasing quantities of copper in Zambia.
Mikie, I think realistically the 4 modules Leon spoke about in January been ready for July and end of the year is not going to happen. I'm not been negative. I would just like to see realistic timelines and more transparency.
Shuvlin I don't agree shares in issue is immaterial. Shares in issue X share price = market cap. Every time more shares are issued: 1. Our share holding is reduced and 2. A return to 20p is harder as market cap has to be higher ie the company bigger, more profitable than previously to meet that sp. For me, the share giveaways, particularly the number and frequency of warrants, really irritates. 120p could be possible actually if there was a share consolidation, but obvs we would not necessarily be much better off!
Yes Ardbeggar all valid points it takes time. I will be surprised though if they don't announce one after Roan gets going.
Also, that's to say nothing of confirming logistics for the locations selected, utility supply etc etc. The location is NOT the thing to screw up on so fine with them taking their time as long as it results in the right decisions being made.
Gray1, I would have thought the reason it takes time for the locations is that they will want at least 3 things first beofre putting shovels in the ground:
1. Small miners secured near to the places they are going to put the modules (which requires due diligence on the miners and process of buying into them)
2. Surface rock copper % confirmed in the areas they have provisionally selected so they have sight of how long the module can realistically operate in that location for
3. Preparing presentations etc and getting IRH to sign off
None of those things will be quick
I would like to see one Happydays to check out what the gross margins are running at particularly for Chrome in the 3rd quarter.
Dbh it is a discussion board if you don't want to read it or join in then don't your choice.
When they released the operation update I don't remember seeing a statement regarding financials? Or am I mistaken?
Chaps, remember the payment was to secure capacity, not start building. The manufacturer would very likely, otherwise take on other work, when we are ready to push the button. I believe each module is designed to suit the feed going through it. The initial stage was the test and design stage.
The possibilities for jlp are actually endless and the time scale for things to happen based on current progress is probably much faster than one would see from an expanding company outside of the tech sector (which we could arguably be said to be in). It therefore makes little sense to speculate as to what the sp might be next year or in 5 years time and it certainly isn't worth arguing over. All I know/feel is that it is going to be a hell of a lot higher than it is at present barring a takeover from one of the majors. Oh, and please don't anyone mention the number of shares in circulation. It's completely immaterial.
Talking about quarterlys, are we going to get one with the financials this month?
Happydays you are absolutely right. I am around 15k down so not in the same ballpark as you but I expect to get my money back if Roan is successful. Even the Chrome improvements should see an uplift in sp next financial year. This is aim casino so who really knows.
Now where did I put my agenda?
My internet went down whilst replying . Yes I can hear some of you cheering:)
