Just seen this on Primary Bid, is it worth a punt at £2.50? It's risen alot recently.
I use an x-o account which is one of their brands and it works well for me. Will probably take up the offer.
Small punt, last year trading around 4.50£, be happy with 20% rise Gla
The Offer is subject to shareholder approval at a General Meeting of the Company to be held on 4 May 2021 (more details of which are set out below). Settlement for the PrimaryBid Offer is expected to take place on 5 May 2021.
where will the price be then???
Ooops didn't see that
When was this ever £4.50? I dont see that in sp history
It's a quite a risk to be waiting until 5 May for settlement.
I checked the fundamental, it is strong but i agree the price is at almost all time high. And, it is not going to settle for another month. May be I can get it cheaper on my ISA account but who knows.
Don't be a lemon, go for it, closes in a couple of hours.
Has anyone actually tried subscribing. Apparently new banking rules that have come in to stop fraudulent transactions are having an effect - for the first time ever, my bank is making me confirm the transaction via it's mobile app, but switching from PB's App to my banks means I lose the transaction on PB. So I have three Pending transactions, no payments made or pending, no confirmations, and no reply from PB. Typical farce, good job I'm not too bothered either way.
Wasn't a problem for me subscribing on the app, I've not had issues with PB before, tbh
Just had a phone call from PB, they are aware of the App verification problems and are sorting that out. I'm quite impressed by their attitude.
Just click on 5 or 3 year chart above ,last oct was 8£
its had a 4 to 1 share consolidation... not a massive drop... check google jim share price
god almighty, check out why that happened by company RNS on 23rd October last year
I decided to go for it and take a punt. It’s true the SP has been high recently and there is the added risk with the long settlement date.
However, the discount is decent and the company has good fundamentals. Also I have some loyalty as my family have used Jarvis in the past for trading stocks.
In for the long term on this one!
Received notification of full allocation.
I presume that the measures being taken with selling the treasury shares and the capital reduction are to provide a nest egg for future dividends. What was a brilliant yield for those who have been here long-term isn't quite as good for investors getting in now.
Me too. Has fallen today as expected but still 268p on the ask so my buy in of 250p looks sage. I think the DIVI will give this a lfit when announced. Furthermore Primary Bid is undervalued as will be a very valuable asset in the future. Keep buying.
I received the full allocation too. A little surprised as their RNS mentions that the offer was fully subscribed so thought they could be some scale back.
Not complaining though as in profit, hope it stays they way until 5th May.

Not must chat here only 400 posts in two years .
Down 15% on Rns to 132p
Bought these 1st July 2021 @ 250p then again 5th July 2021 @ 249.82 in ( Wi ) after they went back to the Primary bid 250p Open offer of 8 April 2021.
Since the OO they topped at 365p 9th August 2021,
16 September 2022 huge one day fall from 185p to 94p before climbing back to 168p during following month and back to to a higher then the panic news to 195p by 21st February 2023 the highest since the huge drop .
And your point is?
RNS ...Jarvis Securities jumps after declaring quarterly dividend went up 34% in response.
Close Brothers Group dropped buy similar amount today after stopping dividends maybe pension funds and the like switching .
Back to £1 it would seem! Fantastic to get a quarterly div and paid within the month too!
Up a further 13% today to 78p , the spread is 7%.
Maybe better to buy into a rise then a drop .
Close Brothers Group was further down .
Does anyone know roughly what the % spread on buys and sells is, currently? It was around 7% a few days ago and still seems pretty big (today's buy at 69 and sells at 65/66)
