It would be interesting to learn if this BB's assumption about Jan applying for a trial mining licence is correct.
Not sure if Obelix still is. Timeline wise for Q1 production sooner submitted the better, only aspect we might still need is the dry magnetic separation results as that obviously affects the operation.
I'm Dcat, any question?
Can we expect some comms on trial mining application soon, whether being submitted or what other steps first required. Also would be nice in next RNS if more detail can be provided on what now funded i.e. whether recent placing would cover trial mining application and other works to get us to mine financing decision.
And whatever happened to Mocidade?!
Good Morning Guys,
How are you? I hope you are well.
I will ask some questions today, if you want to know something, please post here.
Thank you
It would be somewhat disappointing, and surprising, if the trial mining licence hasn't been submitted or in the works to being done, given the very short timeline to expected first production. But it would be good to know its status, anyway, and how long typically the Brazilian authorities might dwell on its approval.
O&W- 14/2/20 RNS - trial mining application typical takes 3-6months. Since then Luis has been involved in regulatory changes and this if anything would have streamlined
Obelix, last week you indicated that you would be in contact with Luis. There was some discussion about being better informed about progress with the trial mining licence, to wit, Dcat80 posted:

Did you in fact get to ask about this, or have I missed your reply here?
I would add, what cost estimate is being allowed for this item, as I cannot see it as a line item in the costings as per the Feb
16 RNS?
Good Morning Olderandwiser,
How are you? I hope you are well.
I was talking to Him about others things regards to exploration, JV, build mining and trades.
To be honest, I completely forgot to ask about the question.
I will send Him a message today and soon I receive something, I post here for us.
Sorry Guys, I do apologies my fault.
Hi Obelix. What did he tell you about the stuff you did ask him about?
Morning DesertStar, He's mentioned about the 2 new Guys and nothing has been done in Mocidade yet (lack) of people and Covid situation over there in Brazil. The community close to the place they are exploring are small and any issue there between Company and local people can damage the image or some connection between Jangada and local MP's
I believe Luis and Brian want to be conservative in this matter until the situation gets better over there.
Thanks Obelix - but you mentioned that before. I was just wondering about the other things that you said you'd spoken to him about.
Welcome Desert, was only this information mentioned. I sent a message to Him early today asking about Mining application and possible other (s) information that He can tell me.
Thanks Obelix
Guys,
I just received a text from Luis, the mining application was send last Monday and I believe takes 6 months (Covid)
Now all this delayed about Licenses and others issues they will blame Covid, Lockdown and others excuses for the delay.
Also, He's mentioned they have enough money to start the Mining Construction
However, I don't know about how long takes the DFS
Remember it wasn’t just a Christmas card RNS we got from Brian last year, but he also remembered us in Valentine’s Day (he loves us PIs really).
Question: The importance of the Logistics Study commented on in the November RNS may have been overlooked by investors. With this in mind, can you provide advice on the following points. In Brazil trial mining permits are often granted, is this the case for vanadium, titanium and iron? Can all three be extracted with such a single licence? And, is there a standard amount of ore such a trial licence would allow? What would the stages of a trial mining application be? And, any guidance on timeframes?
Answer: As noted in the question, Trial Mining licences are a normal process in Brazil. The specifics of the licence will be determined by the authorities on an application by application basis, and we are unfortunately not able to comment any further in this regard as we are not in possession of the necessary information. Brazil is renowned for being a country that sponsors mining development and as such the process to obtain a Trial Mining licence is well defined and generally takes 3-6 months.
Then later in October changes were made to the trial mining application process streamlining it and also Dor example allowing the monetizing of multiple commodities (wonder of Luis had Jangada in mind then...).
Swizz picked up on these changes at the time and brief summary can be found on attached link. If anything suggesting process should now be quicker (so hopefully we’ll within 6months now).

Would an application for a trial mining licence not normally see an RNS to announce it? Or should this only be expected once the licence is approved?
I believe the process (start and end) will take 5 or 6 months.
They can give all excuses related to Covid, we are on track guys including money in the bank now after placing and sell the shares from ValOre
Hashnak, I don't think they need to inform if they applied, but I'm sure they will inform soon they receive.
Agreed. Application for licences wouldn’t need to be RNSd whether for additional land such as Mocidade (where we got notification upon being granted) or trial mining, would be nice courtesy though bearing in mind our thoughts on matter.
