I can’t personally see any significance in the Next (possible !!) interest in B/shop …. They won’t want all of them , lots of the stores are tiny … and nine times out of ten such a deal sees the buyer not taking everything …
… Bodycare has a clearly stated plan for expansion in the south. Surely a reversal into a listed shell opens up the kind of fundraising opportunities they’d want ….
And furthermore, why has the ITS reg address been changed to being almost next door to B/cares address? I think there’s a more than evens chances that B/care is the target !
21 days and two hours of trading left for this to pop up in an RNS.
The Company's audited financial results for the year ended 31 March 2023 ("FY23") are required, pursuant to the AIM Rules, to be announced by 30 September 2023. Based upon recent conversations between the Company and its auditors, the Company will not be able to publish its FY23 Annual Report and Accounts by this date. The Company's ordinary shares will already have been suspended from 28 September 2023, but such suspension will therefore remain in effect until the Company has both (a) published an admission document in respect of an AIM Rule 14 transaction, but also (b) having published its audited FY23 Annual Report and Accounts, in accordance with AIM Rule 19.
Are you drunk?
Oh dear Buda, do keep up please. We’re well aware of that. Maybe do some research and read a few of Jimmy’s posts over the last few months. Then you’ll know where his train of thought comes from.
I’d say if Bodyshop are going into admin then they’re going to make far more for any creditors by selling stores off to Next than selling some off to Body Care under its new guise, what ever that might be.
Personally starting to think we’ve hit a dud and that in fact nothing at all is happening. You win some, you lose some.
??? Body shop’s demise/sale is of no consequence to body care, they are two separate businesses.
Buda, we/i, was hoping with body shop going into admin and selling of 7 of its southern shops body care may try to acquire a few , espcaily after saying it had intentions of expanding in the south, but looks like next, may, have eyes on body shop sell off,
but like you say , makes no difference if next buy it or not to us, other than they see value in the cosmetic sector,
obviously all spec if body care is the target rto.
gla
Well, it does if you’ve been basing all your hopes of Body Care listing on LSE using ITS for an rto…
Unless of course Next takes some of the stores and Body Care takes a few as well.
Why? Body Care and Body Shop are two unconnected businesses. Means nothing to ITS if Next buys or doesn't buy Body Shop.
Yes and no.
PRESS: Next mulls rescue bid for ailing beauty chain, the Body Shop
Mon, 26th Feb 2024 09:36Alliance News
(Alliance News) - Next PLC has approached administrators to the Body Shop about a potential deal to purchase parts of the stricken cosmetics chain, according to a report on Saturday.
Sky News said executives from the Leicester, England-based retailer have contacted FRP Advisory to express an interest in acquiring assets as part of any sale process it decides to launch.
Next is understood to have been monitoring the Body Shop for some time, but people close to the FTSE-100 company confirmed that it had expressed an interest in assembling a deal, Sky said.

Sky said there were doubts that FRP, which was appointed to handle the insolvency of the Body Shop in the UK earlier this month, would elect to run a conventional auction, with one source suggesting that contact between FRP and Next had already stalled.
The Body Shop, is a Littlehampton, England-based cosmetics retailer founded in 1976 by Anita Roddick and her husband Gordon.
It was one of the first companies to promote so-called ethical consumerism, focusing on ethically produced cosmetics and skincare products.
In November 2023, it was acquired by European private equity firm Aurelius in a deal valued at GBP207 million.
Next has picked up a number of distressed retail businesses in Britain in recent years.
Among the brands it has acquired are Fat Face, Joules and the online furniture retailer, Made.com.
It has also snapped up Cath Kidston and JoJo Maman Bebe, the maternity wear retailer, while it has struck partnerships with Victoria's Secret and Gap.
Shares in Next eased 0.2% to 8,426.84 pence each in London on Monday morning.

Next weighs move for stricken cosmetics chain The Body Shop
Thought so.
My current value is just over £10k and I’m in the red. Need 1.25p to get back in the blue. Will add more if news is positive and this starts trading again. Not convinced there’s anything happening but wtfdik
Time will tell
Because my amount of shares @ my average is not 3% ,
gla
Jimmy, if you have £18k in here why haven’t you submitted a TR1? That’s well over 3% of the current mcap.
Anyway, 22 trading days left I think before it becomes irrelevant and we may both have to accept 100% loss. Trying to imagine that’s not possible but reality is often a harsh master.
My money's on Bodycare. Too many coincidences. The strike off being the latest.
I think if it does come out , will we see the price rocket. I will definitely be buying more on the bell .
Oh roger, roger, lol, you do make me laugh,if i recall, i think you once said you have roughly 10k in,
we roger, i have 18k in,
and yes i don't wish to lose it, but,
thats the game i play, on a average i win more than i lose, and i beat the bank with my investment and returns,
so whilst im in, i will be positive, right up to the last minute, worry, enjoy ,dream and stress the same as every one else, but, always smile.
remember.
PROFIT TO THE BRAVE.
BODYCARE RTO @ 22p
If it opens golfdinger….
I admire your confidence. I ended up with rather more in here than I’d intended and usually when I go big on something it goes pear shaped!
I'm confident they will have something good or time, probably Bodycare. Whatever it is I think it will do well due to the calibre the directors. I'll be looking to top up on open unless the price moves higher too fast.
It’s all pure conjecture so not particularly worth digging around for clues. The risk is you’ll put 2 and 2 together and come to with something other than 4.
We’ve no clue until the new Directors release some info. There’s every chance absolutely nothing will happen here and we just lose the lot. That was always the risk and the reason so many jumped before ITS went into suspension.
Just gotta wait for an RNS and hope there’s something of interest in it that gives us at least a bit of hope.
The legal entity Bodycare ltd is being dissolved. BAAJ Capital owns both Bodycare and ITS; the latter has the listing.

The retailer said it was looking at strengthening its store portfolio, with 20 new stores opening in 2024, six out of which will open within the next eight weeks as it looks to expand to areas including East Anglia, Kent and Greater London.5 Jan 2024
