Only another week & we'll see a Trading update.
More accumulation going on.
I always make a misspellings of names to avoid any possible liable accusation. :)
Could be something in a take over theory, I'm wondering what made Davis Snelling get his timing so right.
A quid for me... T/O would mean a new and aggressive board of directors, less overheads, quicker growth. Just so long as it was not AIM cowboys out for their own greedy grubby self-interest. Long strides are needed for the next owners. PLEASE.
Croda or Elementis are two possibilities. This is just pure speculation though.
Just hope if there is an offer it's not too low. Can't imagine the main shareholders would accept much below 40p. However, we have had a depressed share price for a long time.
Coming around to the possibility of a takeover. There's now a few larger stakeholders that will make it a lot easier for the right offer.
Almost annoying! I had a quote up for a top up this morning and decided to wait. Tried half hour later and could only buy 10k max. So I left it. IDIOT!
The appetite for these shares has drastically improved for the better.
Article talking about the possibility of adding iodine to salt so as to increase IQ of children. Food for thought !
Now that it's profitable with a half-decent balance sheet, it must surely be a takeover target for Croda or Elementis. I'd think this would fit nicely within Croda. They could buy it out of their morning tea fund..
Quite simple mkt capt 30 million
Profits a fifth of that a year not many in the aim like this find me another ? Ok tek capital ! Will add more patience pays off as when a new plant up and running iof will be super cheap
@Borotosh: "I am one of those LTH’s who bought in at that dizzy high price,"
If I was you I'd average-down.
That's just what I'd do. I'm NOT offering advice here (as I am BIASED and NOT qualified).
Personally, I never enter a trade unless I have the funds and appetite to add more to that trade OR to exit entirely if the situation deteriorates.
If its good enough for Mr Sneller with his vast experience to have invested £2m of his own money here ,i think its good enough for me .
Be interesting to see what other companies he has large holdings in .
Mosquito: "I am invested and not a day trader."
I doubt there are many day traders in Iofina. The spread is too wide and it moves too slowly to be viable. I do tend to swing-trade it though, but it takes weeks or months for each position. I'd be happy to let it run for a while now that the finances are cleaned up. As I've said here many times, at this valuation it must be quite attractive to one of the speciality chemical companies, e.g. Elementis. Look at the market cap...
Having just ploughed through the results, I've added more. Knowing this share, it could fall back from here, but the medium to long-term trajectory is definitely upwards now. The balance sheet is starting to look respectable.
Revenues for full year 2021 look to be on target for 37/39m mark, so Mcap is still on the low side.
Mid October should get a trading update.
I like. Iofina is In Profit. Debt reduction & Anticipate IO#9 construction to begin before year-end or early 2022.etc. I am invested and not a day trader.
Nice to see a very upbeat news item for a change that finishes "1059 BST, shares in Iofina were up 2.43% at 16.39p.". It has been a rarity for news items saying we're up!
Now you tell me after I just sold out...... only joking of course, here for the long haul, as I'm sure our large holders are. Can see supply tightening a lot going forwards. Not much in circulation.
Many will be wondering what's created all the interest and heavy buying in recent weeks. I think there maybe a clue in the line 'New product R&D is ongoing which includes specialty iodides for battery, oil/gas, and other applications.' Energy storage is going to be massive.
I am thinking the fact the shareprice is being controlled in this manner , along with the various holdings in company rns,s suggests large interests are still mopping up any supply . A hold above 15 p (on weekly chart ) on any retest would be indicative of higher prices to come , even if it were to drops back into the range , this sign of strength on moderate volume is encouraging .
