I am not sure what the markets were expecting but I doubt this was it. The change of name is logical, I would of liked if they had said more about the multi year work. This makes the end of quarter interesting as it might include details of any orders coming from DSEI.
Just seen this tweet https://twitter.com/HarlandWolffplc/status/1437513567524343808 The text is
Attending DSEi? Join us at 10:30 at our stand everyday, when we will be presenting our case study on large ship readiness, using the QEC as a case study. #dsei2021

Wonder if they are the same ones OT posted about yesterday?
https://www.lse.co.uk/ShareChat.asp?ShareTicker=INFA&share=Infrastrata
Actually they crossed before the placing. Not long after the spike for the Sapiem contract.
https://invst.ly/w0ldr
It's almost as if some knew before the placing was anounced and were already selling it down.
Appledore was mentioned on GBNews show by Colin Brazier. Mentioned due to the need for 180 crew transfer boats re wind turbines. Not seen it myself but given heads up.
@Capdevila11 "the construction that you display is beyond awful."
Good evening sir do you care to elaborate so that i can just become "aweful*
Bought again first thing this morning as it looked like the 50dma was heading for a Golden Cross and going back over the 200dma. At least on the hourly chart. When I left for work, it was a fraction below. I almost posted to highlight it but thought I'ld wait till this evening to see how it panned out. Beat me to it Lottie. :)
As Lottie says,it fell below just after the last placing, on the 28th of March.
Hopefully it's a signal of good things to come. GLA
Hi chris i agree it does show great detail and understanding very similar to the question TTNY asked about INFAs response to DAERA
This is from RPS who are very respected in this field (an aim listed company) very thorough and considering all options
https://www.daera-ni.gov.uk/sites/default/files/consultations/daera/marine-environmental-conditions-update_0.pdf
Personally i think it will come down to the science as Mr Poots mentions and mainly if a need for gas storage is required again as TTNYs post has already pointed out the potential risk to energy security along with Kilroot changing to gas with a £600 mill energy park very near IM
H&W are in the naval-zone along with other exhibitors including Navantia see link:

Hi Stokey hate to be pesemistic but dont think we have built a cruise liner in 40 odd years mate
Also if they are looking for staff i guess the contract has been awarded however would love to be wrong.
oldtramp - interesting post the H&W letter to the committee showed great detail & understanding.
Chris ooh now that sounds very intresting post from JW
oldtramp ref 16.35 post on checking yes it is. That begs the question who is the client that needs new build teams?

Just seen this comment https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6843191348242206720?commentUrn=urn%3Ali%3Acomment%3A%28activity%3A6843191348242206720%2C6843195181026562048%29 The comment is not what is of interest it is who is doing the posting.
Hope they have good public liabillity insurance.....someone is going to trip on that carpet lol
I bet it's no coincidence that the H&W stand is adjacent to the Navantia stand......
Chrisatrdg ref 15.46 post I agree it certainly stands out. Also the two TVs should catch people just passing.

Edit: The stand looks brilliant !!!!!!!!
Lottie. At a previous presentation (I'm not sure which one), JW referred to the ML and having a plan B, C, D, E and even F should there be an issue with the brine discharge and the granting of the ML.
He never elaborated on what these other options were. I'd imagine though the current plan A would be the most cost effective, and more than likely the quickest method of proceeding.
I'm not sure a tanker would be a B, C, D, E or F option though due to the sheer volume of water being used in the extraction process. It's also a proposed 24 hr extraction of the caverns so 2 tankers would be needed to permit this to happen for a continuous 24hr cycle.
Knowing there are other plans though is reassuring but hopefully these won't be necessary.
TTNY,That's why they looking at coal fired power stations firing them back up again ,need clean energy now
If the problem is pumping the brine from the salt cavern excavations close to shore, thus temporarily endangering maine life, how about buying a knackered old oil tanker, filling it with the brine then taking it out to deeper waters to be offloaded. Repeat the process... Simples.
