Just seen this post on Linkedin from JW https://www.linkedin.com/posts/activity-6810537807963009024-SYeD Looking at the title of the report it looks like JW is looking to build a case for dry dockings of the Queen Elizabeth Class to go to Belfast. Such a proposal is not that out of the question as it is one of the few dry docks capable of doing the job.
Hi Tango1 - I agree that we will have breaking positive news soon hopefully by the end of the month but certainly by the end of July.If this share is being shorted, and seems to be the case, provided the Company is sound, which I believe it to be, then the current SP is a gift for those wanting to average down.I have today just sold a few biotech shares in order to buy into Sareum (SAR) which could become a block buster. For me INFA is a HOLD now.
They say never catch a falling knife! But by the law of averages, there should be some mega news soon. "I am the King of wishful Thinking" :-)
66k share sell just gone through at 25.60p - whether or not to top up again hmm decisions decisions....
Lottie123, I would say there is more chance of Nobby31 recommending JW for an OBE, but it would change things if there were a buy back (but need money first).
Just seen this post. I note that Sir Nick was not in the photo pity it could not be taken while he was there. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/harlandwolff_our-group-head-of-sales-mark-lawther-had-activity-6810490680461406208-Niyn
It would take no more than an announcement of around 30-50 million to change the momentum of the stock. I would expect them to never need to activate it as just the intention to do so would stop the decline in its tracks.

Lottie123 In relation to your 08.19 post I would observe that the share buyback at LLOY as far as it was designed to increase the share price did not work. Having said that if they could be persuaded to do so a buyback my view it might cause an increase in the share price due to the relatively low number of shares in issue. I am not sure how many shares you had in mind for a buyback but would think a buyback to below 100m might be appropriate.
The way in which the stock opens each day (recently) tells me the seller does not want any upward movement which might induce some positive feel, thus attracting buyers currently on the sidelines. In my experience, sellers of long positions will often walk away for a period of time to test the water. This seller seems hell bent on creating a negative aurer which leads to, even committed shareholders, doubting what they believe is a strong positive future. We are getting close to the point where the company should seriously consider, yes I know it might be difficult, even expensive, buying back its own stock. Sub 25p, if the board believe in their ability, I would like to see them make an open offer for stock to be put into treasury. This current weakness offers them a chance to reverse the dilution of recent issues at what would be a huge profit should their strategy prove correct. Some might say wait until the ML decision as a NO would induce further weakness. I always believed a NO decision would see a fall to the low 20s so I think its almost discounted now anyway.
Definitely a trouble maker Stokey :D I read the Bab**** submission last week, in essence "nothing to see here guvnor" move on. By all accounts everything is Rosey and the status quo is fine! Of course it would be for them as they are getting the lions share of contracts currently. Good to see more purchases today from the bod but I feel more are needed to give investors confidence again. This blummin ML decision is doing my head in! And good luck to the hydrogen company, it'll be 20 years away if they have to deal with any NI govt departments
Stokey12- No news they are aware of!! they have not got a crystal ball regarding all contracts.
Chrisatrdg In relation to my 18.04 post it should have read 'Ignore the submission of Michael Vidal he is a real trouble maker if you ask me.'
Chrisatrdg In relation to your 17.38 post this was discussed in a thread last week. My view is that the written evidence that is worth reading is
Bab
BAe
Thales
Harland and Wolff
BMT
Cammell Laird
Ignore the submission he is a real trouble maker if you ask me
The posting below is from another board but is of interest more than can be said concerning todays activities.
'Defence Committee paper, for the written evidence submittion on The Navy: purpose and procurement
Fascinating. H&W and others give their written appraisals'

Surely they could buy even If the ML was granted in the next few weeks.
The only concern I have with these purchases is that it implies that there will be no news that might move the share price for about a month.
More likely a reluctant response to last week's incredulity.
OK, starting to look like there's confidence
With the cost of UK holidays through the roof, whoever it was to posit that Islandmagee would end up as a caravan park might have been on to something after all!
Not sure what to make of this

Bit more

Probably nothing at all to do with islandmagee but interesting all the same.
Stokey,only the start imho
Avyererdowt In relation to your 10.49 post I would refer you to the interim results that were published in April which showed earnings of circa £5m up from circa £0.5m in the corresponding period in 2020. INFA is earning although not as high as some of us would want.
Good find that oldtramp
Maybe the company should look at this tech it produces lithium and hydrogen from very saline water very cost effectively
