It’s only new contracts that matter the rest is just noise.
Hi All
On the face of it, looks like a really interesting appointment- for me the Carnival links are the interesting ones. Whilst the MOD clearly could be helpful, in reality his influence is likely to be very small in being able to bring MOD work to INFA.
I am surprised by the now 6%+ fall this morning, which concerns me what other news might be incoming...!!!

Mmm, lead balloon?
All buys currently
Really positive and much needed appointment .. along with other significant hiring and recruitment drive let’s hope next RNS is contractual !
BlairPeach ref 22.40 post I checked the Belfast Harbour website this morning and its arrival is now tomorrow. The only ship in SRQ is the Azura if it was going to gas up any other ship I would expect it to go to the berth nearest to it. We can therefore more or less safely say that it is the third tanker to provide supplies for the Azura.
Those two trade of 10,000 are both buys. I should know because they were mine. Listed as sells
Did infa headhunters this new director or was he sent to the company.?
This is an excellent appointment, carnival cruise and the highest of mod contacts, it's a superb appointment! If ever an Ned could bring something to the table to assist a company surely this one ticks many boxes. Gla
JW ...good move contracts pending??
Interesting RNS this could be a significant as a former First Sea Lord will have a number of important contacts within the MOD. Also being a NED at Carnival is likely to be helpful.
Whitdawn is a bunkering vessel, run by Whitaker Tankers (one of my former clients). I would assume she is heading to Belfast to gas up another ship.
The Oil Products Tanker Whitdawn is arriving at SRQ 07.20 tomorrow. It is currently scheduled to leave 20.00 on Thursday. Information taken from the traffic expected tab on the Belfast Harbour website.
Well Beautrident is in Scotland all the way from Taiwan to dock at Methil at 4am lets hope it has plenty of steel onboard?

Great to welcome another new GM to the business, Toms appointment marks a major milestone as we move from our reactivation phase in to operations across all sites.
I note it says operations across all sites but we have heard nothing about Arnish. The next scheduled update is end of next month. Before then I am having a couple of days in Belfast I will post my holiday snaps when I get back.
We are pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Hart as General Manager at our Appledore site. Tom joins following a series of upgrade works at the site and as the site has become fully operational.
Tom has impressive international project, operations and construction management experience and will bring this wealth of knowledge to the role across our five markets and full lifecycle of six services.

Edit: Looking at the above LinkedIn account H&W are clearly recruiting for staff on a daily basis. You only recruit if you have an expanding work line. Please check out the various positions being sought & make what you will of it.Next RNS ???????
Also mentions The Francisca is expected the day after The Beautrident, currently in the Baltic.
Recently been to Denmark and Lithuania. Was checking against known Saipem European bases.
Nothing of any interest to report, as usual. :)
Chrisatrdg ref 17.10 post on double checking through the departures tab from the link in my 08.55 post the Ida was in Methil last week departing on 5 August. That is three cargo ships in a week. I note if memory is correct that the Ida was in for a couple of days.
Hi stokey12 - I have been looking at traffic into Methil for the last week & have not noticed any cargo ships going there.I strongly suspect that at least one of the vessels you mention will be carrying steel to our unit at Methil.Watch this space.
Edit: I am still waiting for that positive RNS in the meanwhile I have chucked my crystal ball.
Yes Stokey that sounds like it, ok so H&W may get something out of it .
jfk9 ref 10.07 post if this is the story you were referring to https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-humber-58143027 then it is possible that INFA may still get work from this. The investment relates to the manufacture of the blades. As I understand it INFA is primarily looking at contracts to fabricate the jackets.
Radio 4 news this morning announced £450M order for wind turbines and equipment for Humberside company, shame not Belfast!
Can anyone living near Methil tell me how much industry is there in Methil as I notice that the Francisca is due into Port at Methil on August 12. The Beautrident is due in Port on the August 11. See this Link https://www.vesselfinder.com/ports/GBMTH001. Is this kind of traffic into the port normal?
