Loose goose remember that is the whole of Ireland not Just N.I so the EU Are also responsible.
Very interesting oldtramp. The level of incompetence and shortsightedness of the decision makers continues to amaze me. Borderline criminal through negligence.
Spot the odd one out on the chart

I see from the Belfast Harbour website that less than two weeks after Whitdawn has berthed Coralwater is due in on the 13 September for the day. I wonder why all these oil and chemical products are needed anyone want to hazard a guess.
I have just got back from having a look at the Azura or what I could see from the gate as you are not allowed further than that. On the way back as I was passing Samson or Goliath not sure which but it was the first I came to I distinctly heard the sounds of work going on in a building by it. Not sure what was going on but no ships are showing as being berthed in either BBD or BDD.
Also while at SRQ to the right and down a bit I saw what looked like earth extraction work going on these may be site improvement works. Does anyone have any idea what they could be. I will try and upload the photos I took on Friday.
Whatever the hold up is right now I'm past caring tbh so I completely sold out on the last spike on Fri if you can even call it that. Lots on twitter were pumping this just for a trade quite clearly.
I'm not "blaming" anyone, tbh, Stokey. Just re-posting an artical in a similar vein to the OP. :)
Looking forward to another 3 day week. Recall it being great fun as a teanager back in the seventies. Parents probably wouldn't agree though, trying to work through it. Might be a good time to invest in candles. lol
As regards the ML, nobody has the cojones to be the one to say, yea or nay. They are just pass the parcel. Maybe a dire shortage with power outages might instill a bit of urgency, hey?
Boris Johnson may well be a bull****ting prat but he will have pressure applied by those that know the seriousness of our gas supply.I'm fairly confident that nigerias president Buhari will likely have discussed his abundance of gas just down the coast in West Africa.I still think the Marine licence has been used as a stalling tool until everything is in place.Let's see how this unfolds but looking at the change in infa trading something is starting to play out.
Si_Derman ref 19.16post In this instance I think you are blaming the wrong person. The issue is with the Northern Ireland Executive who seem to be treating the application for a marine license like a fine malt that has to be laid and allowed to mature.
Similar post on ADVFN by lindowcross from Ambrose Evans-Pritchard also at Daily Telegraph.
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2021/09/05/energy-rationing-feared-russias-gas-squeeze-exposes-uks-perilously/
Makes bleak reading on just how bad the backup storage issue is in this country.
“The UK is more vulnerable to a gas supply crisis than other Western European countries. It has way too little storage and it is buying more Russian gas than it realises through the Netherlands,” said Marco Alverà, chief executive of the Italian pipeline and infrastructure group SNAM.
Not going to post the whole article as lindowcross has but it's over "there" if you want to read it.
Or subscribe to the Telegraph. :)
Glad I'm pretty much "off-grid" as regards mains gas and such.
Come on JW, I'm gonna need a bigger chainsaw. lol
Phew, what a relief, we don't need that boring old gas storage after all! Turns out we can import and burn coal instead to tide us over any gaps in wind and gas powered electricity generation.

The article is behind the usual pay wall but you will get the gist of it.
I do have an opinion but LSE don't offer that option, unfortunately!
Just seen this post on LInkedIn from H&W. https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:6840605468222726144/ the post reads 'On Friday 3 September, we were excited to welcome 13 new apprentices to our Belfast site!
Highlights of this unique training programme include practical on-the-job training, one to one mentoring alongside our experienced workforce, as well as the opportunity to earn while you learn.

oldtramp ref 10.37 post I must confess that this makes me nervous. If team Resolute is seen as the favourite and then loses out the share price night take a bigger hit than if it was considered a long shot and won. Having said this my personal view is that for political reasons the contract will go to Team Resolute as it offers work spread around more of the UK than Team UK.
This is quite an interesting view from LinkedIn regarding contract for FSS ships

Although not mentioned in the press release, Navantia of Spain is included in the Team Resolute consortium Navantia is a state owned employment facilitator which needn't make any profit. Combine that with the political appeal of bringing work on a module or two, plus fitting out and fusion of the modules, to Belfast and possibly Devon, and Team Resolute looks like the favourite.

Stokey I can’t find any link to bluegem or simply blue to Saipem.
My interest is the floating platforms but it is just very speculative research at moment.
oldtramp ref 11.43 and 12.26 posts So an ongoing business relationship between bluegemwind and Saipem might be beneficial to INFA's bottom line.
This is a saipem floating platform plenty of fabrcation

Hi stokey do you remember Blue gem wind visited Belfast recently ?
https://www.bluegemwind.com/
Blue gem wind is the name of a joint project Total energies & Simply Blue Group
Simply Blue have a lot of floating wind projects in the pipeline
https://www.offshorewind.biz/2021/08/09/octopus-renewables-invests-in-floating-wind-developer/
Cant see INFA fabricating blades but floating platforms would be a great plan as they are new market also worth noting next round of CFDs is due out soon with floating offshore wind in the mix for the 1st time in pot 2
I wonder if INFA will try and form an alliance with some of the owners of North East or Irish Sea Offshore leases to fabricate the blades and jackets?
LSE03,morning ,thats what i read this morning aswell.

Interesting article setting out the current players and importance of UK supply chains for the UK to properly benefit
oldtramp re 08.57 post fine words but when it comes to Harland & Wolff I am waiting for the government to match words with action. It is over a year since the Prime Minister came to Appledore with his promises when is he going to deliver on them?
Published yesterday a long read but some interesting points
https://www.gov.uk/government/news/secretary-of-state-speech-to-the-british-irish-association-conference
Harland and Wolff, the aerospace industry and hydrogen buses and hubs are well positioned to drive the UK’s green industrial revolution as we fulfill our ambitious commitments on climate change and the environment.
There are exciting opportunities emerging for Northern Ireland to be a leader within the UK on hydrogen energy. The Government’s ambitious and detailed Hydrogen Strategy published last month provides the beginning of a road map to realising this.
Stokey, morning I see in the papers they saying we are way behind our foreign and European counterparts in respect of clean energy wind turbines , construction and maintenance ,wonder what will come of this ,I've just been on a cruise on the p&o Iona, fantastic new ship run on hydrogen gas the future is certainly exciting for shipbuilding if they introduce a regulation that all ships need to be clean energy ingo
