Bureau of Competition
The FTC’s Bureau of Competition enforces the nation's antitrust laws, which form the foundation of our free market economy. The antitrust laws promote the interests of consumers; they support unfettered markets and result in lower prices and more choices.
This statement speaks volumes........supplying own brand free products which would have an adverse result for competitors would in my opinion not be accepted. I tend to agree with dodgepot's last post.....

Yea JDere says “media” infers their own generic
option.
However, would be interesting for see the agreement because I was thinking it was maybe just a penalty payment to whichever authority for them to make the purchases, which would make more sense...
Another article;
https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/business/teva-shares-rally-on-opioid-settlement-but-analysts-have-doubts-1.8017694
I quote from it ....."Teva said the supply of suboxone it was offering met most of the market's needs for opioid addiction treatments. However, there are a host of other makers, among them Mylan and Dr Ready, that might go to court over lost sales, analysts warned".
I agree BX.....I'm holding... Also this is taken from an article earlier this year: "The other factor to watch is competition from another drug, Sublocade, also launched by Indivior. The company launched this drug in the first quarter of calendar year 2018. The difference is that Sublocase is a long acting drug, the injection just needs to be taken once a month versus Suboxone that is a daily dose." Ryan....."That is so idiotic, which patient and doctor will refuse FREE"
Very simple, doctors and patients want the same outcome, ie a cure. Both Doctors and Patients have clearly stated the generics simply don't solve the problem. The problem continues, resulting in significantly higher costs to the USA government. Whether something is free or not, if it doesn't have a satisfactory result then it's pointless.

They could also buy INDV and supply the real thing... At the current SP the company is a steal.
Why worry about the sp tanking as of now!
Sp will gyrate while there is no news...natural MMs way of making money on investors fears!
No fears here and holding big numbers here..
Manifesto ..... yes, now I've had a chance to read up more, the media infers it'll be their own generic versions of the drugs.
tanking , we do need some update soon
dodge I guess they intend to offer their own generic
version....who knows!
TEVA are trying to mitigate their losses...I very much doubt this
will be accepted as a settlement as they are offering to pay
a very small fine and offering a product they manufacture
as an alternative to a very large fine......would be
very surprised if they got away with that!
I wonder if this subject will be mentioned in the 3rd Q results next week?
Doesn’t seem to be a bottom here at the moment
Is this not a nice little $25m order secured by INDV
with no sales effort or cost...
That's what I'm worried about Ryan ......... free ...... over a ten yr period.
Sounds like no deals have been signed yet though, as the" proposal is being met with opposition from cities and Counties".
That is so idiotic, which patient and doctor will refuse FREE
Joe..
You are correct and that is why indv updated the market twice recently on the increasing revenues and profits 2019 as their products are superior and the preferred ones to prescribe by doctors and patients alike.
I read a few months ago doctors were stating the generics sold by Indivior competitors had a significantly lower cure rate for addicts. If this is the case many doctors will continue to prescribe the prefered superior product.

Teva settlement is still good news to us as indv may have the opportunity to settle by donating the same in a different formula but in far less amount..that is if a settlement agreed rather than doj dismissing the whole allegations..
Teva is a huge pharma in comparison to indv. RB already settled all or at least most of the allegations against indv when it was a subsidiary at the time..
I still believe in a positive outcome.
All what is happening now is fear of the unknown outcome..
Indv is treating opioid addiction and not enhancing it.
On careful examination the actual cost to TEVA is 2.3 Billion (10% cost of goods) over 10 years.
Will Teva be 'supplying' their own generic drug?
Please read carefully, 23 billion is the large settlement, the latter (25 million) is an already 'settled' settlement, do you seriously believe the prosecutors are looking for 25 million? LOL
The article heading is different from the detail. The latter is more believable and is a positive signal.
Apologies..(25m)
