Let us hope that the saboteurs don't switch tactic trying to impose and spook lockdown on travel by getting their european friends to ban UK people or imposing sudden hotel quarantines. This is very much one to watch your backs over. The lockdown lobby group are still very active and still completely obsessed with trying to eliminate the virus here and abroad. Market reaction to rumours is 'don't believe it' and on past performance that is to be expected. I think we will see the end game and final battles between the warring factions play out in the next couple of weeks. When US opens up, I think that will be the coupe de grace for the lockdown lobby. Boris must reshuffle and remove these blinkered sub-intelligent cultists before they re group.
SKY BREAKING NEWS

The share price will be back to 180 with the news Boris is relaxing the rules on travel this Thursday Boris knows opening up travel is a massive boost to the economy
Not everybody is on the benefit breadline like you maarraaabaa, you may still receive a few notes and coins in the little brown envelope at the end of each week, but most a salaried electronically at the end of the month. You forget the vanity of the credit or Amex card! There are more than enough people to book out the holidays, indeed there is a reason why the PEAK season during the school breaks are not included in the dates, because for literally millions of people the cost even in peak season is quite doable even without a credit card. You are confusing the budget traveller crowd where doing the grand tour for less than a KFC bargain bucket is a middle class challenge, whereas taking the family and the cleaning ladies nippers off to Disney land [states] for a week or so is a vanity project. The difference between the vanity middle class and really rich people is whether you can get the ride set aside for your own personal use for half an hour. If you can pull that off, you know you are somebody! Incidently, if you ever rise form the bedsit and make it marraababa, remember the trick of instructing the ride operator to fill up the rest of the seats from the queue rather than only your family being the only figures on the ride. Much less hostility when you get of the ride and you won't need the suites around you.
Agreed 2022 will be busy for Hols.
Once Xmas and New Year is over, it will be interesting.
I booked a family holiday to Tenerife last week and fly in 10 days to be back before the end of the UK summer holidays. People want to holiday still. And travel to meet family who they've not seen for a couple of years and have face to face business meetings they've not had for over a year. Not all travel is holiday and there's pent up demand. Next year especially I see a boom holiday season but I'm optimistic that covid is basically over based on the data I'm looking at (https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/).
The Spanish Flu only lasted 3 years and they had no GOVT BS and no vaccine but they just stuck people outside in the sun for vitamin D and developed heard immunity!
Just MO
I'm holding and thinking 170 is a hard line now fingers crossed.
Good luck all !!
Holidays are well through, staycations have been busy.
Take the Highlands for example, masses of tourists. Same for othe magnet areas such as, lake district .
Even small seaside towns are hotching with tourists.
Their thoughts will slowly be turning to Xmas, very little may shop in New York, as an example. Who knows.
Just had a quick look on Google Trends. Search trends for "Flights/BA/EasyJet,RyanAir,Wizz" seems to be up year-on-year for the last few weeks and is ramping upwards nicely IMO

So, you wish to believe that no British families go to Disney World or Land during the half-term or end of term school holidays which can stretch out over several weeks as different schools have different term windows? OK, you are free to believe that. And... no Brits head off to states on holidays after the 'end' of summer [which let us define to be 31st August for the sake of argument]. If I look back at BA flights pre-pandemic, I will observe the retirement of the fleet between the end of one summer all the way through the start of another next year? Is that correct? My intuition and past travel experience tells me otherwise to the extent that I have found it difficult to get seats and affordable hotels and car hire 'out of season' because to a large extent these days there isn't much of an out of season any more, just the family vacations give way to the non-family vacations. Cushtie!
BIG Blue you really are on another planet pal i piis my slf laughing at your return comments and try to deflect my responses with unintelligent answers . You remind me of del boy lol
Half-term! End of term! And there are many holiday options for adults only too. For many, Spring and Fall are better times to visit the Southern states. I think you are clutching at straws. It is horses for courses, I prefer Iceland in the winter to catch the northern lights and enduring the bracing environment which is much more stunning with a dusting of frost or snow.
