look in the mirror my friend..
Oh dear oh dear oh dear.
There are some very grumpy posters today, bengi, farend, forever, whatever your avatars are. You twist it to suite your own ends as you wish. As stated, the people who follow this board are not morons, and they are not goldfish.
We await the outcome of the discussions with the banks. Some of you went over the wall insisting there was nothing going on. Well you were wrong. You were 100% wrong. There was discussions, and there still are discussions. You were wrong to say nothing was happening. I was right to say, no news, no RNS, they were probably in the middle of discussing RI so they couldn't say anything. Get over yourselves. The more you you twist and squirm the more idiots you look.
the general consensus that a RNS is required or needed...
BB you refer to "refinancing with the banks", there is no refinancing with the banks...
in the Times article:
"the company was taking through 'different options' with banks as it plans through worst-case scenarios for Covid"
exploring options for 'worst-case' scenarios is prudent and quite different to refinancing...
... do you account for a rising income and an opening up of the industry
...do you account for the fact that the UK Government is deregulating restrictions so that the sector can function 'living with Covid'
..for once the government are on side with our best interests in mind
The RNS we're talking about has nothing to do with any discussions of refinancing with the banks.
Just keep moving the agenda b-b, you really are something else.
Opted for the partial rights sell to pay for new shares. The rights price has recovered well so hopefully tomorrow they will be within a % or 2 of the sale price, according to the way iweb has presented the rights for trading. If IAG then merges with Easy J it will be interesting how many new shares IAG create and what the swap offer will be. Of course, we won't know anything because they never issue RNSs about minor irrelevant details like that. Need to look out for Saturday Times interviews!!
What general consensus? There is absolutely NO general consensus here which is why it is such a good environment for people and why so many follow it. Getting a whole heap of 360 views ideas and comments. You can work it as hard as you wish to make me out to be some sort of outcast so you can introduce a narrative for the plebs to follow. They won't. One thing a lot of people forget is, the average punter isn't a moron or a goldfish. And we all await the next RNS outlineing the agreement made with the banks with interest.
okay BB, that is your opinion not the general consensus...
I love the selective editing going on, and I'm the one supposedly confirming my own bias?????? I quoted the rules on disclosure. You call me out on that? I was 100% right that IAG WOULD make a response, and they chose not an RNS but a newspaper interview. With that they have left a lot of questions in the air and if you think such very significant discussions on refinancing with the banks and looking at options to buy out or merge with rivals will not be grounds for formal announcements to the market with an RNS then you are up there with the fairies.
And as for being a fool for not believing in all that chartist mumbo jumbo, only one of your sect gave any sp predictions and not a single chart posted with your gaps and lines to predict the future. That speaks volumes!
I don't see ' the market ' having any impact on people booking travel due to the
traffic light system opening up.
People will book and the travel sector will recover, it is just a case of how long it will take.
Unbelievable, now he's on about that RNS again, do you never give up?
big-blue went from -
they WILL issue an RNS it's stock market rules.
When challenged It changed to -
It is a fine line whether IAG will be required to comment on press speculation re a rights issue.
And finished off with this to justify his mutterings -
I haven't got anything 'wrong'. Everything I have said since CS suggested there might be a rights issue has been confirmed. EVERYTHING.
See how he changes just like the wind. I wasn't aware that CS suggested a rights issue, it was YOU.
A complete and utter narcissist.
You're a danger to yourself let alone this BB.
Big-Blue, the SP has some technical challenges... quite frankly you don't know what you are talking about...
RNS or not, you are looking for confirmation of your biases.. there will not be an RNS you fool..
..when the SP has gained enough support and overcome some technical challenges then there will be more buyers as momentum will have been confirmed to the upside...
sorry to address you in a straightforward manner but l don't know how else to get through to you..!
RE: Pensions / £1.8019 Sep 2021 10:29
Llyd, gotta keep the 360, need to keep the whole picture in mind and how the iis will interpret the picture to second guess how they will move the price. We don't know what has been agreed with banks yet. Everybody is now assuming there will be no dilution. All we know is the existing shareholders will not be asked for more emergency money in the near future, but that broker was not the only commentator saying out loud IAG was likely going to need additional financing and RI was mentioned in a number of credible news sources independently. The CS broker may well have only be restating what was a full on rumour already out there. The response to the speculation is welcome, from a narrative point of view, and it will most likely result in positive pi sp movement. However, how will the iis read it?
I believe clued, the market has been open for 50 mins. A little early in the day to write off predictions just yet! Further, my comments are so routinely denigrated that the idea anybody would invest based on anything I have said is a bit fancifull. Hell, dozens of people make dozens of predictions. I think you will find I did comment yesterday that it would be expected that RNS clarification would be expected. There isn't one. Why don't you ask investors directly what has put them off piling in? Big Blues comments, or the lack of formal news form the company - including the very carefully worded news story.
I'm happy to make my predictions based on the information at hand and based on the caveats I lay down. If the winds suddenly blow in a different direction, then those predictions get blown away too. Big wow!
big-blue, you really got it wrong today, better to maybe not share your deep analysis, but hold it for your biography.....some on here could be misguided and lose money by believing you.
Well, I wonder why the level of trust is not as expected? Looks like a lot of pis sitting on fence for the moment. Was the statement from big boss tooooooo precisely worded ? And a formal follow up RNS? Back to the silence. I had expected clarification to the market this morning, but no RNS. No indication of what the direction will be with the bankers. Back to the black hole of silence. Who would risk it with unkows lying about? Clarification of the deal down with the bankers needed, please.
Interesting start to say the least!! Fundamentals are strong so for me this is like watching a thriller, tense moments followed by moments of relief. Best not doing anything rash. I fly out to BCN this week, going to enjoy a bit of sunshine and let the drama unfold.
FTSE is holding IAG down, however since Friday close we’ve had positive;
- Travel list and testing update
- Debunk of RI
- AZ soon to be FDA approved
Only negative was the Pilots union Gatwick issue.
Don’t think many would have expected a red open today
Not quite the start expected but at least my short close on the Ftse at £78 profit :O) Wonder if they will work Tuesday
