This recession will not be the 'normal' term, I see it lasting longer. There are too many issues weighing against it over 'normal' recessions.
If we see 150 by year end, we will be lucky. We will also dip lower today when the US opens. I need to start drinking!!
Well you boys are cheering me right up, although it's hard to disagree - nothing but bad news for a long time now, and difficult to see an end to it. Was going to put my head in the gas cooker, but than realised I can't afford it.
Never mind 180 plus, right now I would be delighted to see 140 again.
Mararab, fact is that it might not even go above 180 for a long time. Average length of a recession is 3 years, depending on how severe.
IAGLongterm i would love the sp to go to180 then id cash out and be off with great profit its never going above 200 for a looooooooongtime
Not impossible but I just don't see where the investors are coming from. Nobody really wants IAG shares atm i don't think. We need something to change, be It oil or inflation (they go hand in hand) so we're at the mercy of outside factors and unless they introduce a dividend which they aren't, there's too many red flags.
I expected a recovery play but turns out its a traders play toy for now
I wouldn't take note of a word Sundezena says, just ramps up the same message over and over again . Probably even said that today was going to be a blue day. Always with the caveat of DYOR at the end of his messages. The guy is delusional, fact is we are headed for a recession. Number of people getting on a plane this summer will not change what will happen mid term as prices peak and costs inflate. I am stuck on this share like many others and did not see the war or a recession coming. If by some miracle the price was to go to 180 in the short term, i would sell and wait for the dip that is inevitable.
It's not impossible. IAG saw rapid increases this time last year
I think the big difference this year is that the market is risk off and so whilst IAG has every right to rapidly grow, it will find it difficult.
I think the bottom was 1.10 and we won't revisit it...not now with the start of summer. IAG will be going back up...£1.80 coming by end of summer, war ending and no more covid test for US will help. IMO.
Ftse is down 2% so I reckon our SP is nothing to do with this. Dragged does by the market, although its good we're not capitulation yet. Maybe we're around the bottom... lol
Good news for ag on purchase of new aircraft Bad news for RR. Shame there going to use cfm aircraft as this is number one choice unless IAG want to use RR engines
Calm down we know there will still be losses until BA are fully manned currently running at 65% capacity . One more staff com in for summer = more flights let just chill for the summer
The result is from the bad times. I am invested for prospects and they are very good in my opinion. GLA
good narrative...hopefully adds some strength also to Rolls Royce
yeah...Im IAG...my friends are in Easy so we all good bants
the loss was expected if you read , Convb..the summer is the key and capacity will grow as demand is increasing. Read properly. I think this will rise from here. DYOR.
Sundezna...what planet are you on. a £550m loss is going to be a populr as Jimmy Saville at a nursery.
I guess the price was right and all the problems with the max have been sorted. So, it was probably a very wise move.
DYOR.
Personally I would of preferred IAG to have ordered Airbus 321 over the 737Max.
iag share price should get a lift from EZJ who had a good report. I really can't see IAG going lower now. DYOR.
IAG just be pretty confident ordering all of those planes
good results from EZJ. maybe a blue day today. dyor.
AC777, there are some nice places left... get there before they are gone!
It's the FED and Jerome Powell, creating fear and uncertainty to maintain the USD strength. The US government does not care about equities in the US or globally or other issues, they care only to keep the $ as strong as possible. This keeps their imports low.
The US only cares about the US and it's interests.
Remember when Biden said he would release US oil reserves? The world thought they would see some of this?
Not a single barrel of US oil left US soil to date. Not a single barrel!!
I happen to know someone that deals with import and export of US oil for refineries, they have left Europe out to dry. They want Europe to be dependant on US.
So when the stock market tanks in the US it is designed to be that way without the FED doing anything. The system is so rigged it it unbelievable.
But for gods sake when US was up earlier in the week IAG did absolutely nothing!
Patience people this sp will do nothing for about a month maybe climb slowly but can not see sub 120 now , yes there will be dips but overall there nothing to stop this company making money again . You know me i put plenty of posts on this regarding the poor state of BA over the last 6 months and got my opportunity to come in relatively low .Lets just wait a few months and see what happens
