Private capital from afar to play greater role in North Sea growth as sentiment darkens

Alistair Stobie, chief financial officer at Hurricane Energy, said: “The government needs to set out very clearly that there is an energy transition and it involves oil and gas. Without the latter, your world ends.”

That was a long read (I'm a slow reader) but very well worth it.
It explains gravity, sulphur content etc. in a very understandable manner.
Adios, scaramouche! Will figure out TAN etc. somehow?
JayKay,
Nice to see you back. So I knew Hur's oil was 'sweet' and of good, light quality but I hadn't fully appreciated where it stood globally against the benchmark. Glad I hung in there!
Wow! So the penny's just dropped - Lincoln Crestal is confirmed as containing 43 degree API - what is the sulfur content?
WW - likely to be the same. I hadn't quite appreciated the significance.

So Hurricane's Oil is in the same ball park as Malaysia's?
https://rentar.com/best-crude-oil-world-crude-oils-better-others/
"The best crude oil in the world is found in Malaysia. “Tapis, the Malaysian crude benchmark traded in Singapore, has for a long time held the title of the world’s most expensive grade. Its lightness (43-45° API) and extremely low Sulphur content (0.04 percent) make for a highly valuable refining asset.” In fact, of the benchmark crude oils in the world, Tapis is both the lightest and nearly the sweetest. There is no other oil in the world with an API greater than 40 and only one with a sulfur content lower than .04%."
EV
You dont have any of my money either
And if you did , I would recommend you spending it the Maldives
Mauritius is sh11te
IMHO
WW - API 41+
Times past . Still the magic of Hungarian Egri Bikaver.
EV
That may be true, but karma will get you in the end my friend!
EV, how can you have my money if I haven't sold my shares?
Well vessel looks like your inner meerkat called it wrong. Ah well I won’t mention the rope, I wouldn’t want to rub it in.
Hercule,
Bull's Blood? Crikey, that brings back 45-year distant memories!
AD, what never Bishop's Finger or Bulls Blood?
EV,
"looks like you have been drinking the crude today"
Certainly not. I haven't descended to those depths (yet). When it comes to things I drink, I'm strictly vegan.
“looks like you have been drinking the crude today, now back to counting my money, where was I.........”
How about “£1.55, £1.56, £1.57”
EV,
"lovely big black flare full of Benzine"
Benzine? Well I suppose so, along with the countless other fractional distillates which comprise raw crude oil.
What have you been smoking?
well EV thats a good try.
I thought you were going to say it's the wrong sort of oil, so not far out.
still a good read.
Grr. Apols, didn't check the date!
