one of the highest yielding best value shares on the market today. Fantastic fundamentals and growth storey.
don't worry, the spread will reduce towards the end of the day. You just need to bide your time.

Looks good but the 10p spread is unacceptable.
Roll on 130p first...
Absutely Sage, talk about under the radar, this must be a golden example. Companies true value will out eventually with share price fair value c.200p IMO or a takover. St James Place are going after companies like HSD and others.....We live in interesting times, where are the old fashioned value investors like us eh?
whatch this fly to the moon over the next few days as the significance of Hansards performance, divi yield and robust balance sheet gets absorbed by the PI and Retail investor brigade.

That should be 11.00 & 11.15 D'OH!
I'm pretty sure all the trades between 10.00 and 10.15 were buys as they were all at full ask, whereas my lil top up was at 107.52 and shows in blue.
This Stockprice should have risen above 120p as its cheap as chips. EPS of 10.9p and FTSE at 16times earnings, HSD at 11 times, shows lots of upside. Let's hope the EPS can grow more over next 12Mth, and as Courtier rightly says has operations in middle east as well. Middle east is still in a bad way, and just think of all the rebuilding work required after bombings, so there are two sides to the story on ME.
Hansard continues to write increasing levels of well-diversified business with particular success in the Middle East where the strategy implementation has had the most time to take effect; · New business in Q1 of the 2016 financial year ("FY"), measured on a Present Value of New Business Premiums ("PVNBP") basis, was approximately 42% more than Q1 FY 2015 and consistent with the increased levels achieved in Q4 FY 2015; · The Group traded profitably during the period and generated positive cash flows; · An increased final dividend of 5.25p per share (2014: 5.0p) was approved at the Annual General Meeting held on 12 November 2015, with payment to be made on 19 November 2015.
I bought in here having read the results back in September and the possitive note by Normura.
Great to see EPS grow since I last checked in 12th August.
If like me you worry about the suggestions in previous reports about legal problems with past Hansard policies this makes comforting reading at: http://www.hansard.com/~/media/Files/H/Hansard-Global/pdf/reports-and-presentations/2014/reports-and-accounts-year-ended-30-june-2014.pdf?
I have held Hansard for years and nothing has happened. Suddenly, whoosh! Is somebody actually looking at HSD now?
Of course there is Someone has to risk their money Otherwise, the Government would have to They tried that - it ended very badly
if shareholders are an inconvenience, then there really is no need to have a stock market.
The point of the stock market is to allocate capital to companies. Shareholders are just an inconvenient part of that process. Equity has less obligations than debt - that's the only reasons shareholders are entertained. Debt is cheaper and harder to raise - ask yourself why banks allocate debt and don't just buy lots of equity.
shares, I'm happy for the shareholders to see your share price increasing. Between 80 and 90 pence per share, I said this really should have a much better share price. Fair value I would say is, 140 to 150 pence per share. I remain Prosperity 4 All, and want to see all shareholders given a fair chance to make some money. If shareholders aren't given a chance to make money, then what's the point of having a stock market ?
Crossed lines. We were discussing BNC, banco Santander. I know this sp[ace is HSD but someone mentioned an interest in BNC and as I hold them I replied about that...
Hi Courtier, thanks for your input, but a bit confused by what our saying 1.5% per quarter. I know what 1+1 is... HSD only pays out two dividends, so where your equation comes from is anyone's guess. Just saying... http://www.dividendinvestor.co.uk/?chk=104e21437408562&symbol=HSD&submit=GO
It is 1.5% over a quarter which gives 6% per annum!
You have to sell when times are god for a share, then just sit watch ( hope you don't jump in if it goes up! ), and thanks Courtier regarding BNC. Can't believe you even mention 1.5%( haha ), think it's closer to 6%. on current div of 10% and tax of 20% after first €1500
