If Huntsworth are starting to turn this around all could be very well here. The rising pound is something to watch here. Not too much news about Huntsworth in press. Not sure now is the time to be selling if this is a recovery situation. SP could rise. Some big trades today but so many retraction trades on here hard to work it out. Of course working out when to take a profit is always a hard thing.
Yes Gotrader, I was pleased. Forgive my rather subdued response at the eventual publishing of the detailed results. This was because they rather let the cat out of the bag earlier than I was expecting.....and when the detailed results were eventually published, they were much as we had anticipated, without there being any extra nice surprises. I have held these shares now since 2010 and have seen a number of false dawns......and "more jam tomorrow" reports, so it is only understandable that I should be underwhelmed. But maybe this time it is different. For sure, in the early years there were concealed problems and a lot needed to be sorted out within the company. I think the share price was also flattered by a certain amount of takeover speculation. Then there was the epic news of the Chinese buying 20% of the company....all looked most promising. Then we had a totally unexpected tumble in the share price....... they lost half their value.....and we had the the "illness" and early retirement of the Finance Director, followed by the stepping down of the Chief Executive and several dreary, years of underperformance and write downs under the new management. But now, the shares are undervalued. The company is turning a corner. Clearly, Huntsworth Health is an extremely valuable component in the future of the company and if it can continue to grow double digit profit for the next 10 years and even a small profit be sustained by the other parts of the company.....we could have a good investment here, that also pays a 4% dividend. If the pound remains weak....this will further enhance profitability.......but 2017 must now show decisive improvement in stand alone growth, setting currency advantages aside. This year could truly mark the beginning of the beginning!
I would not worry. Most of the SP movement will be due to funds in the background. Question is are any of the major holders left buying or selling? I suspect at least one may be buying here. Must be many below the 3% mark trading shares. What was your opinion on the results? Were you happy?? The overall PBT looked good? Something to build on as Grayling recovers? Assuming they don't sell it off? It is holding back this share right now. I also wonder if they plan to shift more to the US?? Most revenue in the US now? See what happens.
.....but still more sells than buys! I wish I knew what was going on! I've never experienced a share like this one. When ITV, which I once held, moved from 20p to £1.80 and beyond.....I don't remember all this share trading.
Good analysis go trader but think you were over-cautious. Good bounce today which probably even yet does not reflect the strength of yesterday's figures. Seems like a good trading share as it moves between 39p and 47p. If it started paying a divi again it should get a boost as it has a reasonable yield. That as much as anything would be good PR for the share and help underpin the SP.
Looking at these figures Aberforth Partners LLP has acquired nearly 700k more stock since last announced a year ago. I don't recall them doing an RNS for this? It's possible they could be one of the buyers here. In other news a client win. http://www.gorkana.com/2017/03/maxis-chooses-citigate-dewe-rogerson/ Plus Numis have put a target of 63p on the share. Pound is starting to regain some ground now albeit it has a long way to go. I do think interest rates in the UK need to rise as they are doing in US and likely Europe too soon. Pound is far too weak.
Interesting. 52% of revenue in US dollars. Revenue increase of 14.1m due to exchange rates. If the pound soars here revenue/ profits will be impacted next year. At present pound is more likely to fall? That is a big increase due to exchange rates. Likely impacted profits too in a big way. 30.5M goodwill cost all attributed to Grayling. This is purely a paper based exercise as debt has actually fallen 5m or so. 'In the Interim Results announced in July 2016, goodwill was impaired by £15.0 million, in respect of Grayling. A further impairment of £15.5 million was booked at 31 December 2016 following the restructure of the US lobbying business, including the post-year end disposal of Whiteboard Associates.' They need to draw a line under Grayling as these diverging businesses and other closed buisnesses(Swedish offices/ American lobbying) are hampering what would of otherwise been respectable results. Like for like sales up 1% overall but mostly because of Grayling. If they have turned the corner here than 2017 could be very strong for Huntsworth if the Dollar maintains it's strength. It is a case of smoke and mirrors as exchange rates really do hide the real numbers here. The movement of SP today will have been impacted by funds in the background. If the funds like the results then this will surge as the sellers clear out. Of course if i was selling I would wait for the surge and then sell. So need to see where the Sp settles here. No real reason for it to fall here.
http://www.huntsworth.com/investor-relations/shareholder-services/major-shareholders/ Unclear if any of these values have actually changed. A few of the companies that sold out have been removed with 1-2 new ones added. If a seller is clearing out here it's possible they will sell quickly if new buyers liked the results. The idea that there is ever just one buyer and seller is never true.
Results fine ......With health doing very well, if they can now turnaround Grayling as promised, the future looks bright. In the meantime , we have this seller who is keeping the share price down but he will eventually get taken out . Looks a good recovery story imo with a good 4% dividend yield.
So dec 2015 they had PBT of 13.3m. Compared to 16m in 2014. They are suggesting ahead of 15M this year. They turned over 168.4m last year. Citigate and Grayling both lost 7% last year. Going to be a lot of number crunching tomorrow. See what happens here and if the margins at Grayling have improved for 2016. I forget the H1 figures. If the figures show a return to profit and strong growth then share should rise. If the improved PBT is mainly due to currency I would be concerned. I think all the directors buys here is a good indicator. This is a very lack lustre forum for Huntsworth. Mainly due to fact the funds control well over 70% of the shares if not more. (Many funds below 3% too.) So less PI posting here.

I follow a number of PR firms including Cello too. Albeit I mainly post on PTCM. Not got round to posting here lately. Albeit it looks like Huntsworth revenue should be ahead of last year. SP is up 10-15% above it's low here. I think start of 2017 will be strong for HNT too given continued currency exchange rates plus recent trading update. http://www.gorkana.com/2017/03/green-park-search-firm-appoints-citigate-dewe-rogerson/ Grayling promotes Joseph Zeratzion http://www.gorkana.com/2017/02/grayling-promotes-joseph-zeratzion/ PTCM is interesting as it is a start up which has grown from nothing to a business turning over £35M. Albeit they have had 1-2 big setbacks in recent years including many large shareholders selling up. Porta have just announced a big contract win for F and F clothing from Tesco. I think, if Porta can resolve debt issues, the share will climb quickly. We have been waiting on real debt news for 6-8 months now. Quite frustrating. Porta have also been making a lot of big hires who could help increase contract wins in the future. I see HNT more as a finished product. They have shown no signs of being interested in acquisitions here. They seem to be relying on organic growth. Where I think Porta is looking to grow quickly once they reduce their 12% loans. See what happens. The consistant director buys for Huntsworth here point to no discussions ongoing either. If you look at Cello they have recently announced plans for growth and SP soared nearly 20%. Let's see what the results bring tomorrow. I suspect a mix of mainly good and some bad news. See how Sweden office closure affects the results.
I see Gotrader that you have an interest in PTCM. I just looked them up. The directors seemed to have bought heavily at prices almost double the current market value of the shares. They seem even less exciting than HNT. So what is your interest in them? Why do the shares keep declining. And why are these PR minnows so slow to move?
I have been proclaiming the virtues of this share for of over 6 years while most of the time Die Hard has been belittling my efforts. Then poor little Die Hard back in November last year sensed that the tide was turning and makes a completely unsubstantiated statement "buy......this will be massive". Im sure no one listened to this bland and vacuous advice. I sold 100000 at 45 and bought back at 39. I also have a considerably larger holding and have held through thick and thin.......so ill take no clap trap from Die Hard! And just what did he mean by the word Massive? A 2........5.........10 banger? His comment was vague and useless......just a pathetic attempt to hedge his bets and avoid the shame of my supreme triumph!!
Dyehard 14 November 2016 "Don't just hold, buy. This will be massive." After 3 months, slow thinking, slow moving Haha finally gets it. No wonder his views on investing are so highly valued.
Looks like we have lift off! I wish I could understand the workings of "CRAZYLAND" often share purchases do not always equate to a higher share price, but today the added volume and purchases seem to be lifting the share price. Often shares do not do what we think they ought to do. I noticed that Hargreaves and Landsdown finally agree with me that these shares are a "strong buy". So fill your boots lads and lasses and let the trend be your friend! I still think these shares will be rerated to over 50p and if there's a takeover a 30% premium on top of that would be MOST acceptable!
Buys out numbered sells 3 to 1 today and Sp is still down? Same for yeaterday. 400-500k of buys and little sells. Has someone put in a sell order here??
Fact they did positive TU RNS would suggest very encouraging. Strange that about 500k of buys today and the SP is apparently down! I included 38k of buys on NEXchange in that figure. I counted about 5.8k in sells? Which suggests more late trades or level 2 activity with funds finding 43p a good price to sell at in background? I don't have access to level 2. Long term you would think this share should rise if things are turning around here. As ever I am always wary of PR firms and how they tell their stories. One interesting point here is Huntsworth only does trading updates if figures are ahead or below market expectations. I wonder if some of these 25k trades today were directors?? Many of the trades were 1 minute apart suggesting they are linked. (Especially as mostly 25k trades.) Otherwise perhaps more horse trading here of funds. As ever the funds will control this share and it's share price.
Dipped toe in here today with 50k at 43. Looks like a good recovery story with a nice 4.1%yield.
Well if I were running the company, I would certainly maintain the dividend. But with the possibility of interest rate increases in the future, I might wish to bring the debt level down as low as possible. It maybe that the company has a guaranteed fix rate for a number of years. I must confess I haven't bothered to check.
I wondered if that divi will get bumped a tad or will they continue to reduce debt. Both?
Why does this site continue to give false information about the HNT dividend? The company pays a 1.75 total annual dividend, which is nearer to 4% rather than 2.82% Investors take note!
For sure there's some horse trading going on! It is becoming quite an education watching the gyrations of this share.....but to be honest, I just hope that soon we will get some enlightenment as to what is going on!!! Perhaps we will get an RNS tomorrow morning?
I think we have more trades to come here. No way the share can shoot up 10-11% with 10-11 million sells. Unless they are merely late reported and actual buys? Or 2 funds swapping shares at a set price? It could be some funds maybe just want to move their money on here. Would be very bizarre given strong statement. The 10-11m would almost have to come from one major investor. So close together.
