On Saturday 11th November there was a good article in the FT ON Ken Fisher's opinion of market direction. He felt that the bull market could have another three years to run and he advised against energy and retail stocks and opined that at this point in the economic cycle tech, healthcare and growth orientated parts of finance would prosper. Since then major energy shares have fallen....so he got that bit right. Regarding Huntsworth......I guess any improvement in healthcare shares will affect the company for good going forward. But what is he referring to by "growth orientated parts of finance?"
Cannacord still buying here. Now above 10%. Almost up 0.8% from last RNS.
And many thanks for the latest news Gotrader! Had I not sold one share earlier this year, I would now be sitting on a gigantic profit. Still I'm pleased with what I have and continue to accrue. My biggest problem now is that I have a load of cash in my Isa.......and wonder where I should invest that. I still have a large holding in HNT which it seems to wise to hang on to.........but surely a correction is coming? Then maybe a good international investment trust will be appropriate.
Dyehard has not posted on LSE in best part of 3 months. HNT share price is doing really well here. Low of 37p. High of nearly 84p. Business must be booming. Someone is snapping up shares here. http://www.gorkana.com/2017/10/grayling-hires-british-pr-industry-veteran-jonathan-sanchez/ New hire for Grayling. Specialist mortgage lender Charter Court appointed Citigate Dewe Rogerson to manage the comms surrounding its IPO, which took place on 4 October. Probably is other news I have missed.
https://seekingalpha.com/article/4111896-huntsworth-hwtff-investor-presentation-slideshow I know Diehard will find this presentation very positive and informative. I still sit on a considerable number of shares........what about you Diehard? Do you advise that o hold......or take an 80,000+ profit?
Citigate Dewe Rogerson provided strategic communications advice and implementation for Polish telecoms company Play Communications during its recent IPO. So some good news.
As predicted already above 70p today with broker rating of 85p. Up 9% today. Looking good for you ahha. I see no reason for this to go down anytime soon.
Yes, I agree with you.........no great hurry to sell. I was particularly encouraged by your comments regarding the Health business and the potential increased profits you feel they can generate. Huntsworth health is the obvious star of the show.......as we have both been saying for some time. But I have been on a terrifying roller coaster ride with this share.....with some shares bought near the top and I hung on and bought more over five years......all the way down to 33p........but I kept the faith and did not sell one share when everyone else was losing their heads. As we go into 2018 I fear political changes in the US........and with all the European elections out of the way......and Brexit negotiations in the back ground I fear a general dip in markets, irrespective of HNT'S particular merits. One thing I have learnt as an investor is NEVER to take your eye off the ball of the general political background. Share prices don't depend on their own performance alone........they can still fall even if they are making money. But one thing about this share.....at least it kept paying dividends........and that helped a lot!
Not sure why you focus on Diehard so much. Be interesting to see impact of those 3 new companies in US they have bought. What will they do to bottom line. Possible synergies with the existing business to strengthen their US business. The focus here seems very much on the US business. Also the weak pound currently helps enhance their profits. The comment about Red in the results maybe reflected on the lost Boots contract. Hence adjustments. The key thing here is the health division which is growing strongly and represents over 50% of the groups revenue. Directors could easily over double their money here. Huntsworth cleared out their bad news last year and the director bought in cheaply. Another big plus here is a lot of the stale funds here cleared out in last 12 or so months. So you have a relatively new group of fund investors who will likely stay around for 2-3+ years. With the strong performance I can see more topping up here. No point selling here any time soon. I don't see the dollar losing any value any time soon.
I retained 150,000 at 40p and bought back 200,000 at 59p.....so I am well chuffed! Maybe I ought to hang on for 70p and the increased dividend. I knew HNT would come good in the end.........but wonder how much longer the US economy and the dollar will hold up. On balance, I think I feel safer with most of the companies profits coming from the US now. All indicators are that shares prices will continue to grow in August, No news, comments or advice from Diehard.........very strange how he has gone all quiet........I hope he hasn't had a stroke! Well done Paul Taffe and all the directors!
Overvall the healthcare business is the big star here. it accounts for 55m of revenue. That revenue grew by 19%. Helped by a strong US$. Grayling revenue down but in profit. CDR revenue down but providing 1.4m to the bottom line. With most sales in dollars here it can only be good news for UK share holders. Divident increased too. Operating profit of 10.1m. Strong growth forecast for 2nd half of year. I think most will be happy with these results. 70-80p far off?
https://www.holmesreport.com/latest/article/boots-to-shift-1m-uk-consumer-pr-brief-from-red-to-burson-marsteller Red Consultancy have lost £1m Boots consumer Brief. http://www.gorkana.com/2017/07/howden-joinery-hands-citigate-dewe-rogerson-financial-comms-brief/ 'Howdens Joinery, the FTSE 250 UK kitchen supplier, has appointed Citigate Dewe Rogerson to handle its financial communications.'
What should I do with my £8000 profit......my finger is twitching over the sell button.......only YOU can prevent me from crystalizing my profit! Maybe you are too frightened to give an opinion.
I am so grateful that Diehard brought me to my senses! Thanks to Diehard, I bought back 200,000 shares 59p and am now sitting on a paper profit of £8000. What should I do next Diehard........sell the shares and go on a cruise.......or hold on a bit longer? Or maybe invest more in OXB? I wonder if you have made any money lately. You never seem to expose yourself to the possibility of ever making a mistake. I guess it is because you are not as naïve as me!
Grayling brings in Andrew Ferguson as creative director http://www.gorkana.com/2017/07/grayling-brings-in-andrew-ferguson-as-creative-director/
Yeah I would stick with this share for now. All the news streams seem pretty positive. Plus it's paying out a dividend too. I don't do too much research on Huntsworth but I follow PR news sites.. So I normally catch Huntsworth news.
I'm sorry to hear you did not get in on HNT as you truly deserve to make some good profits because it is obvious you spend a lot of time researching your companies in depth. I am very grateful for your comments and observations. But at the moment I think we are in a rising market so it is not difficult to make money. I want to make hay while the sun is shining.......and feel that the time for mid to small caps has arrived. My calculations are that this market is going to get better at least into 2018. As I am retired now, part of me wants to stay in cash and safe investments.....but I ever was the opportunist.
If I remember correctly Matthrew Freud did not sell out?? His percentage merely fell below 3%. There is no evidence to prove he sold his stake here. Check RNS on 3rd Feb 2017. I never got in here. I kept saying 36-37p was the floor here but I never invested. I would not worry about what others are doing here. If the share is doing as well as the board suggests then no reason to sell here. If they can afford 24m on a takeover this suggests things are going well. I guess the investment may pay for the extra debt. Not really looked at the numbers here. On a plus side. A few funds may have sold out but most of the new funds will be committed for 1-2+ years. They have had no problem replacing these funds. Which is another positive. Be interesting to see how high this share might go. If you look at Cello that is also doing very well. Up to 130p now. So many PR firms doing very well here. See what happens here.
Incidentally, another share I have held and been watching for a long time is OXB. I topped up with 500k the other day at 7p and am keeping my fingers crossed that they will double within the next 12 months.
Yes Gotrader, these are interesting days and I love it when you do a bit of research and come up with educated guesses. There is no reason to think that the next trading statement will not be just as positive as before......with Huntsworth Health leaping forward in bounds and the drag on the European side now completely reduced. It has been a long time since these shares were over £1 but it is not beyond the realms of possibility if as Gotrader opined [ without any evidence at the time] that this company will be "big". After all it is only a penny share......not impossible for it to grow three, four....five times the lowest price it has been which is about 33p. I hope you got on board with a significant holding. I wish I had held my nerve for a bit longer.......never mind......I'm still making big money. I wonder how much Diehard has made? I also wonder if Matthew Freud kept his holding......if he sold out for 45p then I am sure he must be kicking himself!
Looks like we have the answer to who bought out bluefocus. Kabouter fund! Albeit Blue Focus had circa 17m shares. I wonder if we could see Huntsworth move their base to the US here. Would fit in with Brexit. Plus fact a large percentage of their revenue is now in dollars. The announced acquisitions were also US based. Would they then sell off some of their UK/European assets? They certainly would not want an expensive UK HQ if they moved to the US. However, I am not sure the board of directors would want to move abroad. See what happens. The fact directors have stopped buying could indicate more action behind the scenes. Who knows what might happen here.
If this takeover enhances profits in the USA, where HNT seems to have rebalanced itself, then hopefully higher share prices and dividends may follow. My recent change of heart seems to have been vindicated. I see also that Nummis has upgraded its forecast on these shares to 77p
Takeover! 24m takeover. 'Huntsworth plc, the healthcare communications and public relations group ("Huntsworth" or "the Group"), today announces the acquisition of the entire share capital of The Creative Engagement Group ("TCEG") from funds managed by LDC (Managers) Limited ("LDC") and certain members of TCEG's management for total consideration of £24.7m. Transaction highlights TCEG is a collection of three creative agencies - WRG, The Moment and Just Communicate - that provide experiential marketing primarily through events and digital marketing, including virtual and augmented reality, predominantly to healthcare clients.' 'The consideration of £24.7m will be financed through the Group's existing facilities. TCEG generated revenues of c. £26m and EBITDA of c. £3.8m in the year to 31 October 2016 and the Group expects the acquisition to be accretive to the Group's earnings in the current financial year. TCEG's gross assets were £26.6m as at 31 October 2016.' Sounds very positive. Cost savings available too? Numis clearly liked the news increasing it's target price to 77p..
Yes it may be someone is offering to take out people's stakes here. This could be a classic turnaround situation. If you consider at 37p HNT was under valued then 50-60p is not over pricing HNT here. See what happens. The funds control HNT here. Aberdeen have 8m shares left to sell here.
Maybe it's Die hard! Seriously, someone obviously thinks the future of the company is secure and is prepared to pay prices that have been unheard of for quite a number of years. The increased daily trades are a good sign!
