I only have 1000 but this is one my long term share holdings. Well run, good Board and history continues to prove that. I ignore the ups and downs and take the dividends. I'll keep ear to the ground otherwise I'll leave these to grow over the years.
PERLHUNT had them a BUY back in November ‘23 with 2200p as fair value.
What are peoples views now?
I only have 450 Iv had since 2013, interesting company with loads of potential with right investment.
Got SPECTRIS too.

Indeed.
A fantastic long term investment.
And they read well to me.

Back over £19 pounds today, although they dropped back 20p
With the Fed and the BOE putting the brakes on rates, FTSE futures are very much pointing to the upside tomorrow and £19 will be retested plus abit more I'd say.
Now! Up again from 1908....
Given the underlying quality and security of income here, Halma is seriously lagging in the LSE catch up stakes. Sooner or later Mr Market will wake up to the intrinsic value here and start horizon scanning.

Quality, Quality and Quality. Still plenty of time to board this gravy train as the shorters uncross and the share bounces back to a sensible level. Solid quality in a must have sector with US bid possibility in for free.

Maxed out now - last lot at £18.80. Patient wait now whilst all the fund managers realize just how cheap this premium stock is at this level. Big bounce-back well overdue from here. Quality and products always win in the end.
Yep. Filling up this year's ISA nicely with these.
A good level to start a position. Added to my isa a/c and will top up if it deeps lower
That's confirmed it for me as the bounce now represents a kick up from the double bottom first set in June last year and again this week. Both were in the 1900+7 range and should now recuperate strongly. The finance directors purchase slso adds weight to the rationale and indicates BoD confidence. Solid and cheap as chips below £20.
Wow
Didn't see today's drop coming but I think it'll be near the bottom now and back to £20 quid in the near term

Came back well and hopefully they'll nudge on a little further tomorrow
They'll be a good rise in the SP on the slightest news but even without, this price is a no brainer providing your willing to wait it out, which I've been doing since 1983 lol
Brings my average nearer a tenner but I can live with that
Sterling weakness should be playing into Halma coffers with 46%$ and 28%£. Unbelievably low price now.... odds are now for US predator to jump imo.
Just taken a 1000 shares at £19.19 because I have complete faith these are worth much more
This will be back chasing £25 in short order... Quality ALWAYS wins whatever the market throws at investors and Halma has it in spades. Cheap as chips below £20 short, medium and long term.

Dropping into US predator territory now......interesting that the market has reacted so perversely to Halma. Now fundamentally cheap given its provenance and resilience as one of the top five UK listed specialist engineers.
Jumped in after watching for entry point. Solid growth company in must-have equipment arena. Excellent outlook. If interest rates held today should benefit overall.

This seems to be in unstoppable downward spiral. Others have commented about its poor performance, but that
was some months ago. looks as though everyone has given up! I only dipped my toe in last year thinking it was a
safe if boring company. now looks as though it has to go into my kennel.

You should have sold out when the SP was £32 quid and yes like you I didn't
It is appalling that despite the fact that the SP has tanked ~30% for 'no reason' there is complete radio silence from Andrew Williams et al.

I have held this share for nearly 20 years as I work for a company owned by Halma and Ihavnt seen volitility like this before. All I do know is that a couple of months back there was a massive 'insider share dump' from a few executives which I think caused the price to crash. Looks like it is being pump and dumped daily now with slight increases every week. Results day tommorow so may see a nice rise hopefully :)
Does anyone know what is happening with this share, it is up and down like a ( you know what)
It's been another incredible year for the business and those of us well invested here,
Next year will mark 39 years of holding shares in Halma, from very humble beginnings to the present, adding further when the opportunity arose and never looking back.
I'd just like to wish one and all, the very best for Christmas and a very happy, prosperous 2022 with your investing.

Only today? It's been big drops every day this week. markets seem crazy this week - some shares keep dropping for no obvious reason (like Halma & Diageo) and some keep rising for no real reason.
Just remember markets can stay irrational loner than we can stay solvent!
Any Idea why such a sharp drop today ?
Good to take advantage with a sharp drop in prices.... added some for elder son that will be transferred to his ISA in April
Cheers Yellowstone,
Halma goes from strength to strength and the amazing story continues.

HOLD FOREVER! That's me.
looking back on here, all I see are a load of happy investor's who've received a progressive divi and a much increased S.P
Why can't all companies be run this way?
And to add context - I used to work for one of their group companies. They are an outstanding, forward thinking, progressive, innovative organisation. Wish I still worked for them.
It isnt a pump and dump. Ive been in since 360p and creamed every year to pay for a holiday / home improvement.
Will get you 20% pa
Don't know any long term holders, it was recommended in a winter portfolio, seems to do well every year seasonally this time of year,

I couldn't agree more Wolfbag2,
Along with Brunner investment trust and Merchants trust the spine of my own has been extremely resilient over decade's, with rising capital and solid, steady, well covered dividends.
Certainly a great backbone for any portfolio - buy and forget :P
Out of all my holdings this is the only one I'd have to be pushed into selling
It's a forever thing!
