@sdg1970, to me two strokes were moped engines, single piston.. Two stroke diesel must have some torque, especially the V12s, that last video with the two trucks revving side by side sounded so souped up,, eyes closed I would never have believed I was listening to trucks..
MJ, MK I was starting to get confused, TM I remember, hated the things, gear change, lack of traction in mud, and bouncing about if you pot holed..
Void, did you spot the typo ;)
@Dai: I always reffered to the military variant as either a KM or TM, sorry lol. Yap, my mate has a 1979 TM (not KM) with a Detroit V6 stroker. He's been restoring it slowly for around 20 years. Detroits are not my thing, I preferred Cummins in old truck terms.
Goodnight
I’m tired
Been a long day
Muscles im supprised you didnt come out with a Welsh joke.
I've just got back from North Wales this morning was lovely.
last one as these sound like not trucks

This is probably Sdg1970's mates

We never got this, need big big speakers

Bedford MK/MJ was extra tough 4WD just for the army. Production started early 70's, but we only ever got the old TK cast-offs.
V6 Detroit, 2 stroke ?
MJ came after MK(TK)
I had a Bedford TM up on two wheels even with an engine pack on the back, the guy next to me was floating round like an astronaut,, those off road tyres were so bouncy, terrible on wet mud..
Probably the oldest truck I got to drive was an AEC Militant, air powered wipers and brakes you had to stand on , maybe a Bedford RL
@No1: The recession scenario is unfortunately why I don't think this will get much over 15p on good news - we're drilling this year - sentiment. Not discovery, that's different.
Needless to say I have to, to keep the business going. The shortage is still acute with small businesses - it was preand post Covid..
Bedford TK was awful - the KM was better! My mate has one with a V6 Detroit in it - it's absolutely crazy sounding! Never heard of an MJ though?? I still drive lorries part-time, I enjoy it tbh. Miss a 16 speed twin-split gearbox though. Great fun!
No1, plenty of buys marked as sells, Bryn paid 7.45..
Would guess the mid was 7.4 at that time, and not 7.6p as lse show..
Considering the absolute sell fest today, the price held up quite well.
I think its all this talk on recession.
Thanks, thought that might be the case seeing so many sells, but there were the odd 7.9p buys so was unsure.
I see the price dropped sharply end of day, so I wonder if lse are having an issue with their data
I bought 2013@ 11.40 am for 7:45. Transaction appears as a sell ! So my price was below the buy at the time. Don’t believe the 1 m sells !
Regards Bryn
Anybody been dummy buying today, wondering what prices were offered?
Hi Dai
Never drank any type of alcohol in my life,
no squash, no fizzy drinks, only drink
our pure soft Welsh water, do me bach:)
Don’t smoke anything, apart from kippers,
probably drop-dead anytime soon:) Haha
Void, nothing we can do except join BRB and buy £10 bottles
But less Tax is less wine and less to complain about, so not sure..
@latorre, I hope we do, its been a long wait
BRB, At £10 a bottle, the Gov only get £4.95, so I get more to complain about from £5, better value ;)
KeithOz, I remember being lucky enough to get a truck with a fold down windscreen one hot summer, it may have been slow but the flies hit hard, so the screen was back up quickly.. :)
1960 Did it have air operated wipers?
Dai
You have covered many ways the Gov,
has screwed us over the years and will
continue to do so. I remember voting
against the Senate, another blood-
sucking level of bureaucracy, we did
not need; however, 51% of the Welsh
population didn’t even bother to vote,
apathy at its finest; now they want to recruit
more MP’s, to do what they don’t do:(
You certainly covered many bases of unwarranted
entitlement, paid by those who earn it, yet pay the
increasing majority of it back, through direct and
indirect taxes. The Mockery and it’s unbelievable
ongoing revenue stream, funded by taxes, me,
I rather be represented by Punch & Judy, though,
the inbreeds are in a league of their own, when
it comes to pure comedy, yet, not funny, not funny at all:(
Haven’t even scratched the surface, though, vent over.
Off-subject, l know, though, passionately awaiting a
positive outcome from HE1, come on DM, deliver so.
@dia2belts
You mentioned you would be interested in the air miles gained by the crew who are expats.
I think you are missing the point here, as we haven't taken off yet, we are awaiting the correct documentation before we can fly.
Onwards and upwards.
Dai.
1) why are you buying £5 bottles of wine. You peasant.
2) buy a 12v compressor and then you can put air in your tyres yourself VAT and cost free.
Get a grip.
Dai - since we're already way off topic, I learned to drive on its predecessor, a 1960 army Bedford TK. After double-declutching my way around assault courses in that, offroad driving while doing geo exploration work was super easy.
